Comedian Ray Ellin remembers watching Little House on the Prairie from an early age and being captivated by the Ingalls family adventures in Walnut Grove. His love of the American western drama only grew stronger as a teenager into adulthood when the series landed in syndication. Ray Ellin “The show has a bit of everything; drama, suspense, love, villains, action, occasionally comedy,” Ellin said. “I liked watching both the caring, healthy families, as well as the dysfunctional ones.” “They were constantly overcoming adversity, and I think as a kid I found that intriguing. It’s fun watching the bad guy, but it was also good to watch people come together either as a family or community. And as a kid, seeing the strong kids defend the weak ones felt good to watch.” Ellin turned this devotion into a weekly podcast Wild Nights on the Prairie with Ray Ellin. The show...

The race by the AMPTP and the WGA to get a deal done by sundown had plenty of folks thinking back to a very memorable episode of Entourage — Doug Ellin, included.
The creator of the HBO comedy was reminded Sunday on X about how the weekend negotiations between the AMPTP and the WGA sounded “like an Entourage storyline.”
Ellin replied, “And on Yom Kippur it sure does.”
Not sure what he’s talking about? Think back 16 years ago to the season 3 episode dubbed “The Return of the King.” The 2007 episode kicks off with the boys at the race track while Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) is arriving at temple before the start of Yom Kippur. That’s when he runs into Nick Rubenstein (Adam Goldberg), the neurotic son of movie producer Phil Rubenstein who is making the movie Medellin with Paul Haggis.

Entourage creator Doug Ellin went full Ari Gold on a writer who posted an essay declaring that the HBO comedy series will be re-edited to reflect modern sensibilities (à la Roald Dahl and Agatha Christie’s books).
There’s just one thing: The essay was satire, which Ellin apparently didn’t recognize.
The piece was written by Max Davison at McSweeney’s (which should have been the first clue) who pretended to be an HBO executive announcing Entourage will be the network’s first series to undergo “sensitivity readings,” noting, “[Since 2011], we have since undergone vast shifts in our views on women, race, and Ed Hardy …. We are merely removing a handful of problematic elements that were more socially acceptable back in Entourage’s time. These include sexism, homophobia, misogyny, anti-Semitism, dubious sexual politics, Asian hate, toxic masculinity, the casting couch, racial slurs, ethnic slurs, sexist jokes, abusive workplace language, mockery of sex workers,...

It seems like Mark Wahlberg and the rest of the Entourage gang may need to hug it out, as Jeremy Piven is saying he’s the major snag in a potential reboot. Wahlberg, whose exploits with his funky bunch (not that one) were a key inspiration for the story and characters, also served as an executive producer.
Speaking with TMZ, Piven (who won three Emmys for playing Ari Gold) said that if Mark Wahlberg can find the time to throw his weight and starpower behind an Entourage reboot, it will be a Tarvold-level victory for all. “If Mark and his team were really behind it, that would be some nice momentum…Listen, Mark wakes up, he gets about 11 minutes sleep. He wakes up and he prays, he crushes the weights, he never stops! So…when he comes up for air in a little crack of time, just make that call to HBO and everybody wins.

A scarily impressive “AI-generated song collaboration” between Drake and The Weeknd has left fans in disbelief.
The track, titled “Heart on My Sleeve”, has recently gone viral on TikTok and Twitter and is believed to have been created by artificial intelligence.
Since its release, several listeners have shared their shock at its “terrifying accuracy”, and even question whether this was a real song that had been leaked.
“I’m convinced it’s a real song but they’re hiding it under the AI to see how it’d get received,” one fan tweeted.
“This is ridiculously good,” a second praised, while another called it “one of the best Drake songs in a minute”.
“Not sure how the music industry will be able to deal with AI,” one comment read.
The two-minute song begins with Drake rapping about “coming in with my ex, like Selena [Gomez] to flex/ Bumping Justin Bieber...
