- Jane declared she was going to be an Actor to her Mum at age 4 and has been doing it ever since, excelling at both ends of the spectrum with lots of stops in-between, from sketch comedy, to gritty drama.
She trained with the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) and Screenwise in Sydney and the AMAW Masterclass in London, as well as over two decades in local theatre in her hometown of Perth. - Since 2012 sometimes works under the pseudonym of Marla Jane Lynch. It had been a nickname for many years before that.
- Her company "so dark productions" was named as an homage to David Lynch.
- First ever rock concert attended was Kiss in 1980 when she was 7 years old.
