Eleven police officers have been shot, with four killed, after authorities say snipers opened fire on them at a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas on Thursday night. Dallas Police Chief David Brown confirmed at a press conference that two snipers shot at the officers from elevated positions. Four are dead, two were in surgery and three in critical condition Thursday night, he said. The protest had been described as "peaceful" by officers before the snipers began shooting. Beginning at 12:30 Et/9:30 Pt, Dallas will observe the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy with its first official memorial on Friday, Nov. 22. You can watch the live stream above.
The ceremony will coincide with the time that Kennedy's motorcade drove through downtown Dallas that fateful day and will feature a speech from Mayor Mike Rawlings, a moment of prayer and a military jet fly-by.

Rawlings says in a statement, "His death forever changed our city, as well as the world. We want to mark this tragic day by remembering a great president with the sense of dignity and history he deserves."

Dallas's emotional farewell to Larry Hagman airs in the UK next week on Channel 5.
The funeral for Jr Ewing will be the centrepiece for the second season's eighth episode, 'Jr's Masterpiece'. Jr was shot by a mystery killer in the previous episode, a nod to the famous 'Who shot Jr?' storyline from the 1980s incarnation of the show.
Following the death of Hagman at the end of 2012, producers and writers created a tribute to Hagman with the funeral episode.
The instalment features guest appearances from Ted Shackelford as Gary Ewing, Charlene Tilton as Lucy Ewing Cooper, Cathy Podewell as Cally Harper Ewing, Deborah Shelton as Mandy Winger and Steve Kanaly as Ray Krebbs.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, and Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings also appear.
