Here's fun Disneyland inspired Haunted Mansion short film called Followed From the Mansion. The short comes just in time for Halloween, and it was directed by Josh Daws and Jeremiah Daws. These are the same guys who made the found footage Haunted Mansion short last year called Missing in the Mansion, which you can watch here. This new film is a lot different, but it's just as fun.

Exactly one year and one day ago, we featured a cool horror short film called Missing in the Mansion, which followed a Disneyland proposal gone wrong in The Haunted Mansion. It was a found footage story that showed what happened to three friends who went missing while on the famous ride. Now directors/brothers Josh Daws & Jeremiah Daws are back with a sequel, using the spooky Disney attraction as inspiration again. But this time, the story follows a boy with an overactive imagination who has just gotten home from Disneyland and fears he has been followed home by a ghost from the ride. Watch it! Here's the horror short sequel Followed from the Mansion from the Daws Brothers' YouTube: We don't think this short is quite as good as their first effort, but there's some pretty solid production value here, from the score right down to that computer animated version...

Odds are that if you are reading this site, you dig films and probably don’t limit yourself to just horror and cult cinema. As of yesterday, if you have been reading about Sundance, you may have heard about a film called Escape from Tomorrow, which was filmed for the most part inside Walt Disney World and Disneyland without permission from Disney. The making of the film sounds like a covert Blair Witch Project operation that just needs to be read to be believed. You can read an excellent piece via the Los Angeles Times here for more background information on Escape from Tomorrow.
I have some doubts that we will ever see the film that premiered at Sundance so may I whet your appetite with a horror found footage version filmed within a Disney park? Last Halloween, the short found footage film Missing in the Mansion, tells the story...

"Something is wrong!" The perfect short for Halloween week. What if the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland were actually haunted? What if one of those cute Disneyland marriage proposals went horribly wrong? It's time to find out for real. There's a great video going around the web (tip via @infamous) that doesn't even have an official title, beyond the viral name Missing in the Mansion. Riding in the wake of Paranormal Activity and pseudo-docs like Catfish, directors/brothers Josh Daws & Jeremiah Daws tell a rather spooky is-it-real?! Disneyland horror story that's entertaining to watch and impressively well-made. Get spooked! Here's the full Missing in the Mansion short. It's like Cloverfield meets Paranormal Activity at Disneyland. The description from YouTube (and the intro) simply describes: "Disneyland proposal goes horribly wrong in The Haunted Mansion. On July 6, 2012, three friends went missing. They were last seen at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. A...
