Jamie Laing, Jorgie Porter, Anthea Turner and Alexandra Burke went looking for love on tonight's (October 12) Celebrity First Dates.

Has Will Mellor just let slip he's entering the I'm a Celebrity jungle? Or is there something else going on here?
The former Hollyoaks star just posted a snap of himself posing in the standard uniform from the ITV reality show on his Twitter page - which he has since deleted.
The 39-year-old actor can be seen in the apparent press shot wearing the ITV show's signature brown T-shirt and red sleeveless jumper complete with his name and a phone number printed beneath.
He didn't add any caption with the picture and has yet to offer an explanation.
One Twitter user, however, suggested it's just a stunt and pointed to the phone number as proof.
Mmm, sure. ITV using a Freephone number for something. Nice try, buddy. https://t.co/fLMfWW1YkD

Strictly Come Dancing was all very pleasant last week - everyone danced and had a lovely time. We even had a wardrobe malfunction, courtesy of Anthony Ogogo and his trouser-splitting jive. But no amount of glitter can disguise the fact that tomorrow night the first celebrity will be eliminated. Sniff.
Luckily, we have 15 exciting celeb dances ahead of us tonight - and we're sure it's still going to be a lot of fun, elimination fears aside. So slip on your sparkliest lycra and join us on the sofa from 6.20pm as we bring you all the action from the Strictly ballroom...
20:25But that's it! The first results show will be airing tomorrow at 7.15pm as we lose our first celeb of the series - and Rod Stewart has a bit of a sing-song. We're already feeling nervous (about the elimination, not about Rod, obviously). But for now, thanks for...

We have seen every type of dating show going, but Young, Free & Single is something else entirely.
The eight-part, Steve Jones-hosted series follows six hopeful singletons - three girls and three boys - as they try to find love under the same roof of an East London flat. Live.
Here's what the best of Twitter had to say...
If @TomKing1989 manages to get a second date we might need to get him a muzzle #e4singles #ouch pic.twitter.com/tvDCZzytc8

Kind of miss Sinitta screaming the entire way down the skeleton track. #TheJump

Is this how Joey gets his teeth whitened? Hurtling down an ice runway, face down on a tea tray? #TheJump

I think Joey Essex has the advantage in going head first in the skeleton event. He's less likely to do himself any damage! #TheJump

"Joey has got to keep things simple" yeah, think he can manage that.... #TheJump

In the '80s, we got Countdown and Channel 4. In the '90s, we got the Spice Girls and Channel 5. In the '00s, we got Dave and Top Gear repeats.
And in the whatever-we-call-this-decade, we've got ITVBe and Towie. Lots and lots of Towie.
Not content with ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4, the broadcaster launches ITVBe this evening, a home for "entertainment and lifestyle" programming. That basically means more Towie.
Who would want to miss this momentous moment in broadcasting history? All the big guns - Jamelia, Mark Wright and Denise Van Outen - are involved at some point tonight, and we'll be sticking it out for the duration.
We'll be live blogging the whole evening from the Peter Andre kick-off at 7pm to the closing of the reem Towie party at 11pm - just dipping out in time to avoid Joe Swash on Celebrity Dinner Date.

Today was a busy day for some of the smaller guilds with the Visual Effects Society, the Cinema Audio Society, and the Makeup and Hairstylists Guilds all announcing their nominations for 2013.
First, we have the Ves, whose main category to look at is “Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-Driven Feature Motion Picture,” where we find Gravity and four other nominees that are just going to have to be happy with the fact that they got nominated. This is perhaps the easiest category to call in the entirety of awards season, and I don’t mean just here, but for the Oscar as well (Last year’s winner, Life of Pi, easily took this category before going on to claim the Oscar). It’s true that films like The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Star Trek Into Darkness had outstanding effects as well, but nothing even came close to the amazing,...

Nick Walker (Ryan Reynolds) and Roy Pulsipher (Jeff Bridges) are shown chasing after a heavyset creature, known as a Deado. Both, Roy and Nick, fire their weapons at the ghoul. A car comes tumbling right over Nick. While this is shown, Nick provides a voiceover explaining that he is having a bad day. When the scene concludes we are transported back four days to when Nick was part of the living. The two alternate openings start much differently. Both take place in a fish store, with Roy attempting to apprehend another Deado, but the outcomes are slightly different outcomes. Keep in mind, both scenes features unfinished visual effects. Director: Robert Schwentke; Screenwriters Phil Hay, Matt Manfredi; Starring: Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker; Running time: 96 mins; Certificate: 12A
Ripd is a bloated blockbuster that squanders a promising premise in favour of soulless set-pieces and ejaculatory explosions of CGI. The clumsy feel of a TV pilot permeates proceedings, as the story, structure and characterisation all flap around awkwardly in a bid to find their feet before surrendering to a hideously generic final act. The talented trio of Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Bacon never stood a chance with such a muddled script.
Adapted from the popular comic book series, Ripd seeks to fuse the supernatural charms of Ghostbusters with the rookie-teams-up-with-veteran dynamic from Men in Black. The plot pairs Reynolds's recently deceased detective Nick Walker with Bridges's similarly dead sheriff Roy Pulsifer, with the duo returned to Earth by the Rest In Peace Department to protect the living.

High concept, low budget; words that I'm sure every studio exec with greenlight power would love to hear, when filmmakers are pitching projects to them. But those are the kinds of projects that Kaleidoscope, Scanner-Rhodes and Graham Associates are hoping to produce via their newly-launched company, Mirror Image - 3 to 4 features budgeted at £200,000 (or about $315,000) annually. And the first film on their slate is an "urban comedy" titled It’s A Lot, written by Femi Oyeniran (Kidulthood, Adulthood) and Nick Walker, directed by Oyeniran, and produced by Dean Fisher. The film is described as "Kidulthood, Adulthood meets eighties classics Ferris Bueller’s...

Due out in cinemas this October, It’s a Lot marks the directorial debut of Femi Oyeniran, who’s starred in the likes of Kidulthood, Adulthood, and (the similarly titled, but unrelated) Anuvahood.
The film sees Oyeniran return to the world of the urban British teen comedy, and now a new trailer has debuted online to showcase what we’ve got coming our way a few months down the line.
Shaun’s a lucky boy – growing up he’s had the right education, parents that loved him and he’s never been short of cash. But as he gets older, he finds he doesn’t fit into this world, especially with the self-righteous and entitled kids at his posh private school.
Deliberately deceiving his family, he enrols at his cousin’s college where he discovers an untouched new world of girls, parties and excitement.

Summer popcorn films offer the quality of enjoyable escapism, 90 minutes of getting lost in a not-too-serious film with a modicum of expectation. Though that may be the sentiment R.I.P.D. was aiming for, regrettably, besides a few laughs, the enjoyment is short-lived. The film attempts to be the haunted version of Men in Black, but ends up being a confusing mess of ideas.
Nick Walker (Ryan Reynolds) is a Boston police officer who finds himself on the wrong end of a gun. Nick dies, but his journey to heaven is thwarted when he is hurled into the offices of the Rest In Peace Department and given the opportunity to seek and destroy the dead still meandering amongst the living. Nick is joined by his resistant partner Roy Pulsifer (Jeff Bridges), a 19th century lawman with a penchant for being quick on the trigger. The two quickly uncover a plan that threatens...

We had zero trouble covering the movie adaptation of the comic R.I.P.D. this summer. Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds have been hilarious in the trailers we’ve seen. The movie hit theaters July 19th, but (whether you’ve already seen it or not) how would you like the chance to see the movie for free?
Universal Pictures is giving us the opportunity to award one lucky winner (who isn’t me, Drats) a $100 Visa gift card to go see the movie (invite your friends!) plus a bunch of cool gear including a t-shirt, sunglasses with microfiber cloth and a notepad. Check them out!

R.I.P.D. – yet another brainless summer blockbuster to provide theater-goers an hour and a half worth of sweet, sweet air-conditioned entertainment. In other words, it’s nothing but a flashy time-waster commissioned as a cash-grabbing distraction.
The good news is, Robert Schwentke’s film didn’t absolutely suck like I thought it would, given the lack of pre-screenings and sudden flooding of negative reviews. The bad news is, Men in Black 4 is still another mess of a “popcorn-popper,” filled with terrible CGI, cheesy scripting, and zero depth. It’s like if you bit into an M&M only to find they forgot to fill the delicious candy shell with chocolate. You still get the sugar rush – but with none of the substance. Wait, Men in Black 4? Sorry, I meant R.I.P.D. – although the titles are pretty interchangeable based on this undead buddy cop’s makeup.
So what is the R.I.P.D.? Well, as...

Based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name, R.I.P.D. is a spectacular wild and whimsical buddy-cop action/adventure that critics will excoriate but despite that, will likely find an audience. If the previews and trailers have reminded you of Men in Black, the movie will feel like a trip down memory lane. Directed by Robert Schwentke (Red, The Time Traveler's Wife), R.I.P.D combines elements of Mib with flavors of Beetlejuice, Ghost and hints of many other popular films.
The film plays as if it hopes that by being entirely derivative of hits it will likewise be a hit, and that's what sets off alarm bells in a critic's mind. But try as I might, every time I started to think "Here's where it starts to suck," the movie did something to make me laugh in spite of myself. That's quite an accomplishment for a writing...

Okay, Ryan Reynolds, you can stop now. Step away from the comic book properties. They’re not doing you any favors, and you have a very nice gig voicing animated properties that’s surely much easier than jumping around in front of a green screen all day and still looking like an idiot afterwards, even when all the effects are added. Really! Turbo may sound entirely stupid, but I laugh in a somewhat admiring manner every time I hear its plot explained (please tell me how your Nascar-racing snail doesn’t get road rash), and I really did enjoy The Croods. Just focus on the good things in your professional life and stop making films like The Green Lantern and R.I.P.D. It’s just embarrassing now. For all of us. Based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name by Peter M. Lenkov, Robert Schwentke’s spin on R.I.P.D. appears to have taken most of the...

Due to unforeseen circumstances, a sarcastic young cop is recruited into a secret police force tasked with rounding up otherworldly entities hiding in plain sight, but not before being partnered with a grizzled veteran loner to prevent a cataclysmic event that may bring about the end of the world that only they can stop – Men In Black was a great movie wasn’t it, you guys? R.I.P.D., on the other hand, is not a good movie at all. It’s unfortunate because despite my sarcasm it does have certain things almost going for it, but ultimately winds up as an embarrassing CGI-filled bore that is as unfunny as it is unimaginative.

"R.I.P.D." isn’t nearly as bad as its near-deafening advance buzz indicated -- though, really, what movie could be? -- but that doesn’t mean the laughs and gasps are satisfyingly abundant in this loud and clunky sci-fi fantasy action-comedy. As expensive and useless as something you’d buy in a duty-free store, it appears to be the work of filmmakers who saw "Men in Black" at an impressionable age, slapped themselves on their foreheads, and exclaimed: “Hey! We can do that!” Unfortunately, they can’t -- though not for any lack of trying.Based on a graphic novel -- the same sort of source material that, not coincidentally, also inspired MiB -- "R.I.P.D." imagines a secret organization of undead law-enforcers charged with controlling (and, in extreme cases, destroying) human-disguised demons who are said to haunt the entire planet, but appear to congregate primarily in Boston.Ryan Reynolds stars as Nick Walker,...

God, where do I start? R.I.P.D. seems like a bad idea from the get-go, but there are glimmers along the way of the film it could have been. It opens on Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges chasing a giant, fat, gruesome, personlike CGI … thing that busts through doors and leaps onto the sides of buses. “You think you’ve had a bad day at work? I think I’ve got you beat,” says Reynolds in voice-over, before he’s flattened by a bus.The film then flashes back several days, when his character, Nick Walker, was just your average corrupt Boston police force veteran. After he’s offed by his even more corrupt partner (Kevin Bacon), Nick lands in the Beyond, where he’s recruited by a fetching, dry-witted celestial administrator type (she’s played by Mary-Louise Parker, but why was I constantly reminded of Flo, the Progressive Insurance lady?...

There's no doubt in my mind Universal gave up on R.I.P.D. as soon as they saw a first cut and were willing to only do the bare minimum to salvage what they could. The final product looks unfinished from the beginning as a giant blob of a man storms down a hallway, busts through a wall and chaos in the streets ensues. On top of this, many additional effects look unfinished and temporary, and while it's not as if effects would have saved the picture in any way, they are evidence of a production left floundering. The film underwent reshoots at the end of 2012 as I can only assume Universal decided it was best to spend a little extra money on story rather than effects and while I wouldn't say R.I.P.D. is an all-out disaster, it falls apart little-by-little before it settles on an ending we've seen countless times before.

It hardly seems possible that a big-budget action movie based on a comic book, starring Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds, would sneak into theaters under the radar. But that's the case with director Robert Schwentke's supernatural flick "R.I.P.D."
Bridges and Reynolds play a pair of dead cops recruited by Higher Powers to track down also-deceased bad guys who've managed to stick around Earth instead of facing Judgement Day. The duo discovers a bigger, more sinister plot by several "deados" to take over the world.
Of course, a lack of marketing and early reviews usually indicate a movie is bad news. So, is "R.I.P.D." D.O.A.? Read on to find out.
1. "R.I.P.D." = "Men in Black" + "Ghostbusters" + "Cowboys vs. Aliens"
Based on a comic book by Peter M. Lenkov, "R.I.P.D." is going for that blend of action, humor, and special effects that made "Men in Black" and "Ghostbusters" hits in their days.

In actual life, bureaucratic systems are the only workable state-citizen interface we’ve developed that can handle the sheer bulk of smelly, cranky humanity. In comedies, filmmakers often render the infinite and otherworldly in the mundane, human terms of bureaucracy, with all the waiting rooms, Muzak, and impossible regulatory complexities that depiction implies. We can’t really envision an afterlife that isn’t somehow modeled on our own psychic landscape. So it goes in R.I.P.D. After being shot in the face by fellow crooked cop Kevin Bacon, deceased detective Nick Walker (Ryan Reynolds) ascends through swirling cloud orifices into the human resources office of the afterlife’s Rest in Peace Department. Mary-Louise Parker explains that, due ...
