Jessie Melgoza Jr.
- Actor
(2023) Jessie Melgoza Jr. grew up in the city of Santa Paula in Ventura County, CA. He currently resides in Fillmore, CA with his beautiful wife Suzie and their two amazing children. As a child, Jessie was raised on his dad's old Kung Fu movies and quickly became fascinated with how Jackie Chan did his own stunt work. This fascination led Jessie, at just 8 years old, to climb up and jump off any wall, balcony, tree, or even truck. He would sometimes even ride his Huffy bicycle straight at a wall and jump off at the last second as if diving out of a moving vehicle to escape certain death just like he saw in the films he loved so much.
Being a shy kid since elementary school and all the way through to his high school years, Jessie never thought he had it in him to do what it took to someday be an actor in the films he loved. It wasn't until 2019 at the age of 32, through a series of fortunate events that only God himself could have coordinated, that Jessie heard the call to pursue acting. This call was just what he needed to take what seemed impossible in his mind, becoming an actor, to now possible because he knew if God was for him nothing could stop him. He immediately began taking lessons just 30 minutes down the highway in Santa Clarita, Ca at Limelight Acting Studios with acting coach Kristin Pitts. After one full year of lessons under his belt it was time to start submitting to agents and breakdowns on the various casting sites. Then, in 2020, the Pandemic hit and the movie industry came to a screeching halt and shutdown. Not easily discouraged from his dreams of someday making it in Hollywood, Jessie continued training and once the industry started opening up again he began submitting to breakdowns and landing roles on his own. Jessie has since worked with director Chris Rowe on the set of Oxygen Networks "Family Massacre" as suspected killer Danny Diaz. He has also worked with Producer/Director Luc Besson (Fifth Element, The Professional) on set of "June and John" slated for release in 2023. Grateful for every opportunity that comes his way Jessie takes nothing for granted and pours everything he has into his roles no matter how big or small the part to ensure he gives his best every time in order to tell the greatest stories possible on screen.
