Taylor Swift can rest easy. Pittsburgh police have arrested a man who allegedly posted threatening online messages and then showed up at her Saturday concert with signs saying the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer was Satan. According to local affiliate Kdka, Swift's security team tipped off authorities to some disturbing notes that 28-year-old Joseph Jackson reportedly posted on his Facebook page in which he wrote, "Taylor Swift must perish and die." But that's not the only frightening thing the pop star had to worry about. The Clarksburg, Pa., native was among the 57,000 people who attended Swift's show at Heinz Field, where he held up handwritten signs reading...

Most of her loyal followers are positive and encouraging, but Taylor Swift also has to deal with the hater contingent as well.
For instance, a man named Joseph Jackson posted threatening comments about the “Holy Ground” songstress on Facebook before showing up at her Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania gig over the weekend.
Jackson brought a sign that read “Taylor Swift is Satan,” and it didn’t take the police long to track him down and arrest him.
Joseph reportedly told the cops, “Taylor Swift is Satan and that 6,000 years is six days and death comes on the sixth day, so Taylor Swift is in danger.”
Needless to say, Mr. Jackson won’t be hanging around T. Swizzle anytime soon!

He is also known – in court records—as Raffles Dawson and Raffles Benson. He was on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in one of Houston’s suites when she died. He appeared downstairs in the lobby shortly thereafter, wearing aviator sunglasses, sobbing.
As usual, he had an entourage in tow, including Quinton Aaron, the actor who played the football player in “The Blind Side.” Raffles, in one of his many PR Newswire releases, recently announced that he’s producing movies with Aaron. It’s just one of many ventures he announces regularly. For someone who has no obvious means of support, he is a regular on PR Newswire and You Tube.

Just minutes after Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of one felony count of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, the judge in the case denied the cardiologist bail and ordered him held in jail until his sentencing later this month.

After nearly six weeks of testimony and several gasp-inducing courtroom moments, the jury in the involuntary manslaughter trial against former Michael Jackson doctor Conrad Murray rendered a guilty verdict Monday (November 7) after almost nine hours of deliberation.
The verdict came after 49 witnesses took the stand and the prosecution presented often-bruising testimony against Murray, a cardiologist with clinics in Texas and Las Vegas who was recruited in 2009 by Jackson to help the then-50-year-old star stay healthy in the run-up to his planned 50-date comeback tour, This Is It.
The prosecution brought a long list of medical experts and emergency-room doctors to the stand to testify that Murray had not followed proper procedure in dealing with Jackson when the singer was in distress on the morning of June 25, 2009. They also...

James Durbin performs on "American Idol" on Wednesday

Some people might argue that it's patently unfair to take rank amateurs, put them on the biggest show on TV and then expose them to potential worldwide ridicule every week. Because it's one thing to tune in to "American Idol" from your living room or play shows at the local wings joint, it's another thing entirely when you get up on that stage and open your mouth with tens of millions watching and listening.
James Durbin learned this lesson the hard way this week when he made what he thought was an innocent crack about not setting himself on fire during his pyro-tastic cover of Elton John's "Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)" on Wednesday night.

Mankiewicz, from Kenyon Nicholson's 1927 play Oscar Movies, Pre-Code Movies Dorothy Mackaill, Milton Sills, The Barker Directed by George Fitzmaurice, by then already a film veteran, The Barker is one of those strange hybrids made at the dawn of the sound era: some sequences feature dialogue, others have intertitles and musical accompaniment. The Barker, in fact, is perhaps stranger than most for the dialogue isn't restricted to one specific reel or two. Characters start talking unexpectedly, only to go silent again a few scenes later. Besides its historical importance as one of those transitional curiosities, this B-movie melodrama produced with a mostly A-class talent has enough intriguing elements to keep viewers at least moderately entertained. The basic plot, from Kenyon Nicholson...

Throughout his life, Michael Jackson had a rather contentious relationship with the media. The late pop icon's outrageous behavior and appearance never failed to generate the attention and adulation he seemed to crave, but that fascination was always a double-edged sword for the conflicted star, as it also involved tabloid reporters digging into every nook and cranny of his personal life. This subject is one he revisited on "Breaking News," the first single from his upcoming posthumous album, Michael, which is scheduled for a December 14 release.

Donte might also be the son of Jermaine Jackson. But whoever he is, he is not the mystery child of Michael Jackson. Neither is Omer Bhatti, the sad Norwegian kid who Michael collected in 1996 in Tunisis when he was 12. Omer is the biological son of Riz and Pia Bhatti, who each worked for Jackson subsequently. Omer now cashes in on his Michael connection by doing shows as a Jackson imitator.

Both Katherine and Joseph Jackson showed up. Katherine was supposed to sign copies of her book, “Never Can Say Goodbye.”

The news, at first, was impossible to believe. After surviving a lifetime of tabloid scrutiny, a childhood lived in the spotlight, two allegations of child molestation, two failed marriages, rumors of serious health problems and nearly 20 years of futile attempts to recapture his pop glory, Michael Jackson was dead.
For months, fans had been scrambling to buy tickets to Jackson's triumphant comeback run of 50 shows at London's O2 arena, salivating at every morsel of information about the top-secret concerts, which the P.T. Barnum of Pop was planning behind closed doors on L.A. stages.
And then, without warning, it was all over. The dream of Jackson's resurrection and rebirth after years of struggle — both financial and personal — was dashed. Within hours of confirmation that the singer had...

We will likely never know what happened during Michael Jackson's final moments.
On the eve of what he hoped would be a triumphant return to the world stage that would re-establish him as the pre-eminent pop star of the modern era, Jackson died, seemingly alone, in a rented home in Los Angeles after a fitful night during which his private physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, supplied him with a series of medications aimed at helping the 50-year-old King of Pop get some much-needed rest.
After a nearly yearlong investigation, in February, Murray was charged with manslaughter in the case, in which prosecutors claim that the Dallas-based cardiologist supplied a deadly cocktail of sedatives — including the surgical anesthetic propofol — that stopped Jackson's heart.

In honor of the late Michael Jackson, his birthplace of Gary, Indiana is in talks of building a $300 million entertainment complex, according to the Gary-Post Tribune.
Mayor Rudy Clay said the massive, privately funded Jackson Family Center will be built without using tax dollars from Gary residents and is expected to attract 750,000 visitors a year to the gritty industrial Midwestern city that has struggled through decades of hard times.
"This is not a promise," said Clay, who stood beside Jackson family patriarch Joseph Jackson at Wednesday's press event announcing the plans after years of failed attempts to honor Jackson in Gary. "This is going to be done."
The entertainment complex will include a hotel, housing, golf course, performing arts center and an elevated rail line to shuttle visitors.

La Toya Jackson wants Dr. Conrad Murray to be charged with premeditated manslaughter. The physician is set to be charged for involuntary manslaughter relating to the death of La Toya's pop superstar brother Michael last June, but she doesn't believe it is enough. She said: "He should have been charged with premeditated." If found guilty, premeditated manslaughter carries a more serious sentence. Michael's father Joe also believes Murray should receive the more serious charge. The family's lawyer, Brian Oxman, said: "I spoke to La Toya Jackson, she wants justice for her brother.
