He wrote the lyrics to the songs in the "Lucy Goes to Scotland" episode
of I Love Lucy (1951) and played the Mayor in the same episode.
He presented Jazz Therapy to catatonic patients at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Brentwood,
CA, often resulting in patient breakthroughs.
At his own advertising firm he created commercials for Sony, Pioneer,
and Infinity Speakers. He created the first advertisements for the Big
Mac.
He performed under the name Larry Neill as jazz trumpet soloist and
featured singer with the orchestras of Shep Fields, Riccardo Pizzuti and
Ray Noble, among others.
