All the characters in the HBO comedy series "The Righteous Gemstones" are subject to each other's insults, but no one gets quite as much flack as Benjamin Jason "Bj" Barnes (Tim Baltz). As Judy's subservient husband, he is at the bottom of the Gemstone ladder. But in one key moment in season 2, Bj gets his shine with a major fashion statement — a pink satin men's romper.
Bj gets baptized into the Gemstone family in episode 4 of season 2. While he is normally limited to the role of Judy's sidekick, he finally has his own moment in the sun. Rather than shy away from the attention, he leans into it with a flashy costume. But Baltz wasn't feeling as confident as Bj about the bold new outfit.
"I definitely Googled romper, and I was like, 'What? I'm really gonna be in this thing? My fiancé has rompers. I'm gonna be in one?...

HBO’s new comedy series “The Righteous Gemstones,” about a famous family of televangelists whose dysfunction runs far deeper than its Christianity, seems to exist in its own time and place. Set in present-day Texas, the inspiration for the Gemstone family — played by John Goodman, series creator Danny McBride, Edi Patterson and Adam Devine — draws on multiple eras and examples from the televangelist world that includes the likes of Joel Osteen, Billy Graham and Jerry Falwell. And their suits.
“It was a bit of a domino effect,” says costume designer Sarah Trost, who worked with McBride on his previous HBO show, “Vice Principals,” and also costumes NBC’s “A.P. Bio.” “When I first talked to Danny, we chose to keep it conservative for everybody, but then he said he wanted his character [the eldest Gemstone son, Jesse] to be flamboyant, sort of ‘country famous,’ with his cohorts surrounding him. And I said, ‘Oh, you mean...

Nsfw A ferocious nod to big-budget studio action fare and underdog sports dramas of the 1980s, The Fp is a high-concept comedy set in a dystopian near future where a relentless turf war rages. Two rival gangs feud for control of rural wasteland Frazier Park in the deadly arena of competitive dance video game "Beat-Beat Revelation." Directed by fourth generation filmmaker brothers and real-life Frazier Park, CA natives Jason and Brandon Trost (Cinematographer, Crank 2: High Voltage, Rob Zombie's upcoming The Lords Of Salem), The Fp is a homegrown family production with Hollywood special effects expert father Ron Trost (Mortal Kombat) as co-producer/FX coordinator and accomplished costume designer sister Sarah Trost (2010 Project Runway contestant) as the designer for more than 40 uniquely...

Sarah Trost has become the latest designer to be eliminated from Project Runway. The 27-year-old costume designer from Toluca Lake, CA, was sent home from the Lifetime competition last night. The contestants had been taken to a party supplies store and instructed to create an outfit using only items found in the shop. They were later challenged to create a matching accessory using more supplies brought by their models. Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia were joined by Betsey Johnson for the runway, which saw Christopher, Michael C, Ivy, Michael D, Kristin, April, Mondo and Peach sent through to the next round, while Gretchen, Valerie, Andy, Aj, Casanova and Sarah represented the top three and (more)...

As promised, we’re keeping an eye on our Project Runway hometown girl, Sarah Trost, who lives in Burbank, California adjacent Toluca Lake. She made it through week two of two on thecutthroat design series last night. The 27-year-old costume designer continuedto fly under the radar while Gretchen won her second challenge in a row andJason and Nicholas were sent packing.
Sarah got a little more face-time in Episode 2 than she didin the season opener last week. In fact, the show started with her explaininghow physically taxing the show is. She complained, “So I wake up this morningand I am dead. Like literally dead. Like take my pulse. It’s not there. Zombiesort of thing.”
And, despite a seven season run, she finally seems to havecracked the nutshell that is the point of Project Runway. She explained, “I’mpretty sure this show is not about fashion design.

After much anticipation since its 'surprise' debut at Comic-Con in San Diego last month, The Guild's first ever music video is now up on YouTube for your mid-day jam-out pleasure. The suspiciously-catchy track, "(Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar?" features Felicia Day and the full Guild cast all in their full WoW avatar garbs singing a sexy fantasy ballad in a dreamlike white limbo. As we learned at Comic-Con, Day wrote the lyrics before handing them over to Dr. Horrible composer Jed Whedon (brother of Dr. Horrible creator Joss Whedon) who wrote the music. Whedon's wife and Dr. Horrible writer Maurissa Tancharoen makes a cameo as one of the backup dancers. The colorfully detailed avatar costumes, designed by Sarah Trost, were even donned by the full cast at the Comic-Con panel.
