This is not a game; a second season of Netflix's hit series "Squid Game" is officially happening! More than eight months after the show's creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, confirmed the exciting news during a Nov. 9, 2021, interview with The Associated Press, Netflix officially gave season two the green light on June 12, 2022, with the release of new teaser art featuring a close-up of an animatronic eye on Twitter and Instagram. And over a year later, on June 28, the streamer announced the new season's stacked cast - plus who from the original cast will return.
The first season of the show was packed with surprises, life-or-death situations, and moments that had viewers at the edges of their seats. So what can we expect from the follow-up season? Hwang and Netflix are staying mum on specific details for now, so it looks like fans of the one-of-a-kind series will be left with a laundry...

Netflix’s The Glory K-drama has another heartbreaking story besides Dong-eun’s (Song Hye-kyo). While Dong-eun gave up her life to plan revenge against her bullies, she also seeked revenge for So-hee (Lee So-e). She was Yeon-jin’s victim before Dong-eun was, but for a tragic reason. Authorities ruled that So-hee died by suicide, but Dong-eun knew it was murder. The Glory Part 2 continued Dong-eun’s journey to bring justice for So-hee and vengeance against her killer, Yeon-jin.

Character Yeo-jeon looking at So-hee in the morgue in ‘The Glory’ | via Netflix Dong-eun felt guilty over not having saved So-hee in ‘The Glory’
The K-drama’s storyline is advertised as focusing solely on Dong-eun wanting revenge against Yeon-jin and her friends for what they did to her. But The Glory only tells small details of what happened to So-hee. In a flashback, fans see teenage Dong-hui buying something at the pharmacy.

The Glory (Deo Geulloli) is a South Korean series directed by Gil Ho Ahn and starring Song Hye-kyo.
The second part of The Glory has arrived, new episodes of this new and surprising Netflix series, dark and well made. It deserves a chance, we can assure you of that much.
La Gloria is a tale of revenge: many years after being assaulted at school, a woman seeks to make the guilty pay for their crimes.
No lightness of plot, a series that seeks a balance between realism and a very cinematic formulation, with good editing, effects and very polished with regard to the shots and acting. This is not an “easy” series, it has an elaborate structure and has a whole aesthetic composition, an elaborate sense of rhythm, and knows how to narrate the fierce world of its protagonist between the sensitivity and her savage, vengeful spirit.
A truly enjoyable series to watch and,...

"I hope that you still want to see me dance, Yeon-jin." Revenge is always intense!! Netflix has revealed a new official trailer for Part 2 of their streaming series The Glory from Korea. Part 1 of this series is already streaming, it launched in late December a few weeks ago. This almost sounds like one of Park Chan-wook's revenge movies. A young woman, bullied to the point of deciding to drop out of school, plans the best way to get revenge. After becoming a primary school teacher, she takes in the son of the man who tormented her the most to enact her vengeance. "From now on, every single day will be a nightmare. They’ll be provocative and terrifying. You can't stop me or make me disappear." Starring Song Hye-kyo, Lee Do-hyun, Lim Ji-yeon, Yeom Hye-ran, Park Sung-hoon, and Jung Sung-il. Seems like it's almost a cathartic revenge story, about...

Leading Korean actor Song Hye-kyo leads the cast of “The Glory,” a Netflix drama delivering a female-led tale of delicate and long-gestating vengeance, that uploads from the end of the month.
Song portrays a woman who was bullied at school, but who has carefully nurtured her grudges deep into adulthood. Her schemes for revenge against the perpetrators include exposing and turning the daily life of one of her newly-married classmates into a constant nightmare.
The show is directed by An Gil-ho and written by Kim Eun-sook, whose previous credits include the gentler “Heirs” and the Song-starring hit romantic drama “Descendants of the Sun.” “There is no logic behind Yeon-jin’s evil-doing, nor any romanticization of her actions,” said Kim in supplied quotes. “I want ‘The Glory’ to be remembered like a breath-taking sword dance.”

Hong Sang-soo’s films have a certain calm quality to them that many have tried to replicate over the years, with mixed results. So you would be forgiven for thinking that director Lim Oh-jeong, who has worked in Hong’s directing department on a few of his films including “Tale of Cinema” and “Like You Know It All”, would try to replicate those qualities for her debut feature-length work “Hail to Hell”. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Hail to Hell is screening at Busan International Film Festival
The feature opens with a gang of students bullying Sun-woo. Shortly after, Sun-woo and Na-mi, another girl who is bullied by the same gang and the only person Sun-woo can remotely call a friend, go through a silly failed suicide attempt and decide that, instead of taking their lives, they should exact revenge on those that put them through hell.

Leading Korean film and TV star Song Hye-kyo will head the cast of “The Glory,” an epic revenge drama series being produced for Netflix.
The series is a change of direction for Kim Eun-sook, a screenwriter billed as the queen of Korean romance.
The project is also a reunion of sorts for the pair. Six years ago, Song starred in the Kim-penned “Descendants of the Sun” a lush Kbs series about a war-time romance between an army surgeon and a special forces office that also played on Netflix.
In “The Glory” Song portrays a woman who is extracting revenge on a group of school bullies who destroyed her childhood and the bystanders who failed to prevent the trauma.
Song has been a mainstay of Korean TV dram series including “That Winter The Wind Blows” “Full House” and “Encounter,” as well as internationally-produced movies including Wong Kar-wai’s “The Grandmaster” and...
