“Mickey 17,” the next film from “Parasite” director Bong Joon Ho, has been undated on Warner Bros.’ theatrical calendar and will not open on its previously announced date on March 29.
Moving into that date is “Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire,” which was meant to open April 12 but will now release two weeks ahead of schedule.
A source tells IndieWire “Mickey 17” will have a new release date announced soon, but the film was delayed due to the strike and other shifts in production. It’s unclear when the film is expected to open.
Robert Pattinson, Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo all star in “Mickey 17,” which is Bong’s first film since winning the Oscar for “Parasite.” Bong directed, wrote, and produced the film and adapted it from a novel by Edward Ashton. The studio even shared a first-look teaser from the film as far...

Warner Bros has pulled Bong Joon-ho’s anticipated sci-fi pic Mickey 17 from its release calendar, bumping up Adam Wingard’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire from April 12th to March 29th, 2024, when it will debut in IMAX.
We’re told that the Mickey 17 move was due to shifts in production amidst last year’s strikes, and that a new date will be coming relatively soon. Godzilla‘s move to the weekend previously inhabited by that title sees it set to open with very little competition, a re-release of Alice Rorhwacher’s La Chimera being the only other plan, exhibition-wise, for that frame.
Marking Director Bong’s follow-up to Oscar-winning smash Parasite, Mickey17 adapts the novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. The book follows Mickey7, who is an Expendable: a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. Whenever there’s a mission that’s...

Ben Stiller is famous for having three - count 'em - billion-dollar franchises to his name and one of them, Night At The Museum, is gearing up for a third instalment. Today's news is that Rebel Wilson has joined the cast. Deadline reports that Australia's comic actress of the moment will be coming off all Pommie to play a night guard at the British Museum. This news further confirms the rumour that Stiller and director Shawn Levy would be bringing their comic shingle over to these shores. With Daniel Stevens playing Lancelot and Robin Williams back on board as President Teddy Roosevelt, there's plenty of scope for a big cross-cultural hoedown. Just add Winston Churchill, Lord Lucan, Herman's Hermits, Hamburglar, The Fonz and Ichabod Crane and we're away. The third Museum movie has been scripted by Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant, David Guion and Michael Handelman, and should be underway...

Production on The Wolverine is well underway, and after getting our first look at Viper on the set yesterday, alongside Hugh Jackman, we’ve now got our first glimpse of another of the film’s villains in the form of the Silver Samurai, as well as a look at our hero’s claws out and ready for action (albeit on his stunt double, Daniel Stevens).
After a bit of a long road to production, with James Mangold (Walk the Line) finally boarding the project at the helm last year, things are looking excellent for what promises to be one of next year’s biggest blockbusters.
“Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.

Welcome to my 10th TCA Press Tour! For those of you sweltering around the country, I'm balancing things out because for the past eight days I've been in a hotel ballroom so cold that I wish I had my parka, Instead, I'm reduced trying to huddle next to some of the very hot actors taking the stage to explain why they should watch their show that probably won't last three episodes.
But you don't care about my discomfort! You want to hear me spill the beans on this summer's press tour which has been very interesting. So let's get to it!
Patrick Wilson (A Gifted Man) is unbelievably talented and handsome and very private. He clearly doesn't love doing press and answering questions about his private life. But he's a pro and did it anyway, and I got to stare into his dreamy eyes...
