Zikhona Bali is a talented actress, born in Humansdorp, and raised in Port Elizabeth, Southern Africa. She is best known for her outstanding performance as Londiwe on Isi'thunzi, directed by Amanda Lane. Is'Thunzi gave her the notable nomination for 2019 Golden Horn Awards, 'Best Supporting Actress in a Drama'. Her early work was on TV commercials, for brands such as Coca Cola and Nescafé. In 2010 she competed her Media Practice studies and dabbled in Public Relations and Real Estate. 2014 Zikhona auditioned and got herself into Professional Performance Training at Indigo View Advanced Actors Academy- working with master teachers like Christa Schamberger, Sylvaine Strike, Pamela Nomvete, and Steven Feinstein.
'The Forgiven' was Zikhona's first international work, a film based in Apartheid South Africa, a moving biopic starring alongside Forest Whitaker as Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The film opened at the BFI London Festival in 2017 with raving reviews. She played a lead journalist, Qawe on Ambition- a 24 part episode series. In 2022, she led the movie 'Thando' where she was nominated at the HAPAWARDS Hollywood for Best Actress in a film (Africa). And Nominee for Best Actress Feature Film at the IDYLLWILD. And winner for Best Actress at the BRICS Film Festival.
Her latest work, Lakutshon'Ilanga. Directed by Phumi Morare. Zikhona played a young nurse fearing for her activist brother. The film was awarded the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Short-Form (Live Action). 4 wins and 6 Nominations.
Her recent work in Production is 'Guarded', 'Why The Cattle Wait' and 'Don't Let's go to the dogs tonight'.
