The show is a co-production between Norwegian broadcaster Nrk and Canada’s Crave, the streaming service owned by Bell Media. Cineflix Rights is distributing the series globally.
Principal photography on the show began on March 24, with shooting taking place on the Greek island of Hydra — where Cohen first met Ihlen — as well as Ihlen’s home country of Norway, and the late singer’s hometown of Montreal, Canada.

Channel 4 has acquired the UK broadcast rights to new Norwegian drama Mammon.
The six-part thriller, produced by Nrk Drama, was created by brothers Vegard Stenberg Eriksen and Gjermund Stenberg Eriksen.
Mammon follows journalist Peter Verås (Jon Øigarden) as, over the course of six days, he uncovers evidence of a large-scale financial fraud which implicates his own brother. Verås decides to pursue the story anyway, with devastating consequences for himself and his family.
Channel 4 chief creative officer Jay Hunt said: "With its compelling blend of political conspiracies and industry intrigue, and its examination of the damaging effects of chasing the story at all costs, Mammon is a complex, gripping and timely drama.
"We're thrilled to be bringing it to a UK audience."
Nordic World CEO Espen Huseby added: "In Norway, Mammon is attracting huge audiences, pulling in some of Nrk's highest ever ratings for a crime series.
