James Wan, the man behind Saw, Dead Silence (a personal favourite), Insidious and The Conjuring, dons producer cap once more – following the success of Annabelle – for Demonic, the second feature from director Will Canon (Brotherhood); and a movie that seems to share more in common with the work of its producer that just having his name on the film…
Demonic follows Detective Mark Lewis and psychologist Dr. Elizabeth Klein as they question the lone survivor of a ghost-hunting excursion turned horrific massacre – where five college students were brutally murdered inside an abandoned home. The amateur paranormal activists were simply seeking proof of poltergeist phenomenon at the supposed haunted house. But what started out as...

Cinema Epoch, Blue Creek Pictures, and Eye are pleased to announce that the gritty, bloody, and disturbing new film Stitch in Time will be making its La theatrical premiere on July 13th.
The screening will be held on Friday, July 13th, at 9:10 pm at the Laemmle NoHo7 (5240 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, CA). The theater will sell you an entire seat, but you'll only need the edge! Woot! Additionally, a special one-time only Q&A with the director and cast of the film will occur immediately after the show. If that's not enough, your ticket to the movie will get you into the exclusive after-party being held at a heretofore undisclosed location adjacent to the theater.
Stitch in Time is directed by Jigeesh Magar and stars Jesse Steccato, Richard Riehle, Mackenzie Firgens, and Nicole DuPort. After the La premiere on the 13th, the film will have a one-week theatrical run in San Francisco.

“Brotherhood” is like “Very Bad Things” for the college set — a lot of nasty people doing a lot of nasty things. Taking place at an unnamed college in an unnamed town in an unnamed state, the taut, tight thriller hits the ground running and never looks back as a frat prank for initiates goes horrifically wrong. Things spiral quickly and hopelessly out of control as the brothers make panicked decisions that spawn life-changing consequences. Things move so fast you hardly have time to get your head around some of the horrors before you’re socked with a humdinger of an ending.
Will Canon’s directorial debut, based on his short “Roslyn,” mostly works despite zero character development and the...

Brotherhood
Stars: Trevor Morgan, Jon Foster, Lou Taylor Pucci, Arlen Escarpeta, Jesse Steccato, Jennifer Sipes | Written by Will Canon & Doug Simon | Directed by Will Canon
During the last night of an La fraternity pledge recruitment, a prank at a convenience store goes horribly wrong and one of the young men ends up with a bullet in the shoulder. Incident after incident happen as dodgy frat leader Frank (Jon Foster) tries to control the situation and save himself from jail (mostly by saying ‘fuck!’) while moralistic newbie Adam (Trevor Morgan) attempts to do the right thing to save his friend’s life.
That’s the premise of Brotherhood, and it’s a somewhat interesting one – certainly a fresher take on the ‘college frat boy’ genre than Van Wilder. The situation the guys find themselves in creates plenty of tension, both with the individuals whose lives they disrupt (a nervous clerk who gets kidnapped,...
