I’ve always wondered why all the grown-ups romanticize their school days when they have all the freedom in the world now that they’re adults. This is a realization that only occurs when school days are nothing more than a memory of the past. Shot a decade ago, Woh Bhi Din The is an earnest effort to take its audience back to school.

Remember when we first met Din Djarin? He swaggers into that cantina in the first episode of The Mandalorian, takes down a few ruffians, and flies off with his quarry. No mess, no pomp, no big deal.
Those days now seem long gone, as what started out as a smaller-scale Western set in the world of Star Wars, between the Original and Sequel Trilogies, has now become the hope for the future of the franchise on the big screen. The characters will now be the focus of the next Star Wars movie. Directed by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian & Grogu is currently expected to release in 2026. Does this mean we won’t be seeing the beloved duo on screen at all until then? Or will a potential season 4 of the show bridge the gap on Disney+? It’s a question that has eluded Star Wars fans since the film project was first announced.

Pedro Pascal-starrer Disney+ show The Mandalorian received wide applause from fans and critics and had a three-season run. Following the flagship show’s third and ahead of its fourth season, Disney and Lucasfilm announced a feature film, The Mandalorian & Grogu.

The recent report on the movie, however, does not adhere to the excitement and hype among fans as Disney was keen on restricting the budget of the film, keeping it surprisingly low. Fans are devastated by the report worrying about the VFX and overall justice to the cinematic journey of the two iconic characters.

My first thoughts on watching the new Indonesian film Primbon are that it is one of the better horror movies to have come out recently, but the caveat to that is that it has a rather regressive stance regarding the supernatural; the climax is not befitting of the great buildup. That being said, Primbon is actually a good example of how to have the right kind of exposition to set up a horror film. Horror requires some kind of deep dive into the unknown and the mythological legends of a place. The traditional population’s belief in the stories of the old sparks an interest, and one can build up the scenes from the inherent myths in the culture. Director Rudy Soedjarwo does not focus too much on explaining what Primbon is; we get to find out about it organically, almost simultaneously with the characters. That’s the best way...

It’s safe to say no one knows what the heck is going on with The Mandalorian season 4 now that Lucasfilm has announced a feature-length movie starring the beloved duo and directed by showrunner Jon Favreau. Has the fourth season of the show been replaced by the film? Not according to Deadline, which reports The Mandalorian season 4 is still in development in addition to the movie. With the film being fast-tracked into production this year, does this mean season 4 has been delayed until further notice? Or will it be filmed at some point this year as well?
Well, according to reports from reliable Star Wars scoopers Bespin Bulletin and Making Star Wars, The Mandalorian season 4 is indeed still a go, but the rumor is that Disney’s plan is for a fourth season to release ahead of the movie. But instead of the normal eight-episode season, season 4 would be only six episodes,...

The rumors were true. All of them. Don’t expect The Mandalorian season 4 any time soon. Instead, we’re getting The Mandalorian & Grogu, a feature-length film to be directed by series creator Jon Favreau and that will be released in theaters. While Deadline reports that a fourth season of the series is “also in development,” the movie is being fast-tracked into production this year, according to a press release, which makes it unlikely we’ll see more of the show any time soon.
What this new film chapter may entail for the heroes is anyone’s guess, as Mando and Grogu seemed to finally settle down in a hut on Nevarro at the end of season 3. Have Grand Admiral Thrawn’s return and new problems on Mandalore forced the bounty hunter and his adopted Jedi son out of retirement? Lucasfilm ain’t saying just yet.

Say what you will about the state of the Star Wars universe in 2024, there’s no doubt which property is the current king of the galaxy far, far away. Few would have guessed just how massive The Mandalorian would grow, releasing in the shadow of the much bigger blockbuster The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, only to go on to dominate the streaming landscape four years later. Regardless of the lows some fans feel the show hit in its uneven third season, The Mandalorian was still the most-watched original streaming series of 2023.

Chapter 20 of ‘The Mandalorian’ saga follows the gallant trio of Din Djarin, his foundling son Grogu, and the former princess of Mandalore Bo-Katan Kryze, through the familiar beats of a TV Western-eque, “Monster-of-the-week” storytelling format. This episodic structure has been a stylistic calling card for the series since its inception. Creators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni built the identity of their show around the winning combination of Din and Grogu’s palpable chemistry and profound emotional connection on-screen, a steady deepening and expanding of the already deep ‘Star Wars’ lore, and a healthy reliance on the tropes and plots found in classic cowboy serials like ‘Gunsmoke’. Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four stands before the Illuminati, a gathering of the smartest and most influential figures in the Marvel Universe, to make a declaration. “Everything dies,” he states. “You. Me. Everyone on this planet… This is simply how things are. And I accept that.”
This scene from New Avengers #1 (2013), written by Jonathan Hickman and penciled by Steve Epting, perfectly captures Reed Richards, one of the most important characters in Marvel history. It shows Richards approaching a catastrophic, multiversal problem with cool reason and intellect. It feels undeniably modern, building up to the universe-shaping events in Secret Wars, while still remaining faithful to the sci-fi influences that drove Jack Kirby and Stan Lee’s original vision in 1961.
And with Avengers: Secret Wars already planned as the capper to Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this is the type of Reed Richards that the MCU needs.

If a movie franchise can last long enough, sooner or later, it will start eating its own tail. It’s a common grumble when talking about the big boys on the block, Star Wars and Star Trek. Neither feels like it’s willing to move on into the future, pulling fans back to earlier years and rebooting iconic characters in order to refresh—read: re-market—the stories fans love. But they’re not the only adopters of the technique; some franchises get downright sneaky about where in the timeline they’re going to take us next.
For example, little about the upcoming Saw X makes it clear to average moviegoers where the movie fits into the timeline. Franchise fans are probably aware that it’s a sequel-prequel timeline pretzel, fitting itself in between the original film and Saw II, and adding new details about Jigsaw’s obsession with the doctors that failed him.

Episode 4 of "Ahsoka" delivers an interesting battle match-up between two characters who both occupy gray areas in "Star Wars" lore: Sabine Wren, a Mandalorian with Jedi training who wields a lightsaber, and Shin Hati, a character also trained in the Jedi arts who is (to paraphrase Britney Spears) not a Jedi, but not yet a Sith. Both were trained by masters who used to be Jedi, but have since turned away from the Order.
Although this isn't a straightforward Jedi vs. Mandalorian fight, it does echo the history of Mandalorians and Jedi as longtime foes. In fact, if the Mandalorians had never clashed with the Jedi in the first place, they wouldn't be the badass, beskar-steel-clad space daddies that we've come to know them as. Dave Filoni, the showrunner behind "Ahsoka," "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars Rebels," explained to ComicBook.com in 2017 that "their weapons, their arsenal, their...

There will be spoilers for "Star Wars: Ahsoka" Chapter 1 - Master and Apprentice and Chapter 2 - Toil and Trouble.
Dave Filoni's new "Star Wars" show, "Ahsoka", picks up years after the end of "Star Wars Rebels," the animated series that ran from 2014 to 2018. "Rebels" told the story of a rebel cell led by pilot Hera Syndulla and cowboy Jedi Kanan Jarrus. Through the course of the series, they added many allies to their cadre, including former Jedi Ahsoka Tano. The show ended before the Rebels won their first victory at Scarif, but an epilogue to the show took place in the days after the victory over the Empire. Ahsoka Tano comes back to the planet Lothal to journey with Sabine Wren to the unknown parts of the galaxy to find their lost friend, Ezra Bridger.
Some thought this moment would be getting recreated in "Ahoksa," but it seems as...

Do you know that feeling where you have to constantly ask people to use your preferred pronouns or tell them how to correctly pronounce your name? Or when you simply let people who don't really know you that well call you by your legal name since you no longer have the bandwidth to keep telling everyone you go by a different name in your daily life? Or, honestly, any other variation on that theme? It's enough to make you wish you had your own Janet from "The Good Place" who could appear out of thin air and bring the world up to speed whenever needed.
One imagines Ahsoka Tano would know where you're coming from. Indeed, those unfamiliar with the world of "Star Wars" animation would be forgiven for assuming she's a Jedi if all they know her from are her live-action appearances on "The Mandalorian" and its spin-offs. Now,...

In the lead-up to the premiere of "The Mandalorian" in 2019, nobody really knew what to expect from the first-ever live-action "Star Wars" series. It wasn't until the appearance of a certain small, pointy-eared, green-skinned individual at the end of the first episode that season 1's "Lone Wolf and Cub"-styled plot came into focus. When the series returned for season 2, however, it quickly became apparent that showrunner Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni had much bigger plans than a story about a violent loner turned bumbling father (Din Djarin) trying to care for his mischievous adopted son (Din Grogu).
In fact, it's since become clear the tale of Din Djarin was but a stepping stool for a much larger saga about the New Republic's struggles to secure a foothold following the defeat of the Galactic Empire. The show's first spinoff, "The Book of Boba Fett," saw the titular bounty...

According to MakingStarWars, some rumors are circling around regarding the fate of ‘The Mandalorian.’ Of course, it is unlikely that this series will get canceled, given that ‘The Mandalorian’ has always been the most popular Disney+ Star Wars series and is one of the streaming platform’s biggest draws. But there have been mumblings about the format of the next step in the story of Mando and Grogu.
While ‘The Mandalorian’ has enjoyed three successful seasons as a series, the rumors suggest that the next phase in the adventures of Din Djarin and Grogu would be a feature-length film instead of the series format that fans have been enjoying for years. And this comes as a big surprise, considering that Disney and Lucasfilm have already announced three Star Wars movies that will be coming in the future, and none of them seem to be ‘The Mandalorian.’

While Pedro Pascal will now and forever be associated with "The Mandalorian," as he has helped bring the title character of the beloved "Star Wars" show to life, the actor is only owed partial credit these days. Pascal has confirmed that he is mostly just providing the voice for Mando these days, with the rest of the team doing the heavy lifting on set. So for those who may have been wondering how much time Pascal spends on set, the answer seems to be close to none at all.
Pascal recently participated in a roundtable with several other actors for The Hollywood Reporter, including Kieran Culkin ("Succession") and Jeff Bridges ("The Old Man"). During the conversation, was asked how he balanced being in both "The Last of Us" and "The Mandalorian." The actor was asked if his work in "Star Wars" can just be voiceover, and Pascal said, "For a lot of it,...

This post contains spoilers for season 3 of "The Mandalorian."
Season 3 of "The Mandalorian" ended on a glorious note. The Mandalorians were able to reclaim their home planet, Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) was defeated, and our favorite father-son duo, Din (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu even got their own little home in Nevarro. Despite assuming an often directionless, meandering pace, season 3 of the show had some impressive highlights, including a flashback to Order 66 from Grogu's point of view. When The Armorer (Emily Swallow) forges Grogu a beskar rondel, the kid has some intense flashbacks to the fateful night, and it is revealed that Jedi master Kelleran Beq (Ahmed Best) was the one who saved him during the purge at the Jedi temple.
This begs the question, was Grogu ever at the risk of running into Anakin Skywalker, who had already turned to the Dark Side by then? As Anakin was the one...

Even though Boba Fett was presumed dead after falling into the Sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi, The Mandalorian found a way to bring him back with Jango Fett actor Temuera Morrison now playing the role. What started out as a guest appearance in season 2 ultimately led to Boba Fett getting his own spinoff show, The Book of Boba Fett, which showed both how he escaped the Sarlacc and his rise to power on Tatooine.
Boba has become an important character in this era of the Star Wars timeline, unofficially dubbed the “Mandoverse,” and one of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu’s most valuable allies. So why didn’t Morrison return for The Mandalorian season 3?

It turns out a certain character who has become a not-insignificant part of the "Star Wars" universe nearly died in "The Mandalorian" season 2. And when we say nearly, the character technically did die, but the powers that be filmed another scene and decided against going with that outcome. The character in question is Axe Woves, played by Simon Kassianides in the Disney+ series.
The news was revealed by Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan Kryze. The actor recently appeared on Kristan Harloff's YouTube channel for an interview following "The Mandalorian" season 3 finale, which featured Axe Woves. You know, since he's not dead. But Sackhoff explains that, had things gone another way, he would have been a distant, deceased memory:
"Axe, you know, we knew he was supposed to die last year. That was the thing that no one could talk about. There was this moment where he sacrifices himself in that episode.

“The Mandalorian” season three has been met with mixed reviews from “Star Wars” fans but while the story itself is called into question, the characters remain beloved. None more so than Bo-Katan Kryze, who is a major part of this live-action show as Katee Sackhoff reprises her voice acting role from the animated shows.
Bo-Katan was first introduced in the animated series “The Clone Wars” and was a member of The Death Watch, which was a terrorist group of Mandalorians trying to reinstate their ancient ways to their planet, Mandalore. She then appeared in “Rebels,” another animated show, wherein she is declared the new ruler of Mandalore. Then, she appeared in live-action in season two of “The Mandalorian” wherein she tried to claim the fabled Darksaber from Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) but failed when Pedro Pascal‘s Din Djarin (the titular Mando) won it for himself.

This Star Wars: The Mandalorian article contains spoilers.
When The Mandalorian season 3 closed with one final, seemingly definitive shot of Din Djarin and Din Grogu enjoying a well-deserved rest on Nevarro, millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror. After all, the season 3 finale seemed to wrap up three seasons-worth of storylines quite nicely for our heroes.
With Mandalore reclaimed, the Darksaber no longer an issue, Din now Grogu’s official dad, and Moff Gideon apparently out of the picture — and with the season finale’s lack of a post-credit scene to set up the next big arc for our characters — some viewers understandably feared the worst for the future of the show. And it’s true, you could easily mistake the season 3 finale for a series finale, and a happy ending to boot, as the screen fades to black Looney Tunes-style.
Except we know it’s not the end for The Mandalorian!

Undeniably, there's a real artistry involved with digital visual effects (VFX) and advancements in technology have only added to the rich history of the craft (which goes back even further than most film fans may realize). The marriage of computer-generated imagery (CGI) with practical effects and puppetry has been a little rocky at times, but the world of "Star Wars" has continued to work hard to find the right middle ground between these techniques.
Indeed, the franchise has struck an especially effective balance in recent years with Din Djarin's little green son on "The Mandalorian." Whether you prefer to call him Grogu or Baby Yoda, Din's 50-year-old, miniature Force-using travel companion is easily the cutest and arguably the most compelling character in the galaxy right now. He's also proof that puppeteers and CGI artists can work together to achieve something truly magical.

The season 3 finale of "The Mandalorian" aired on Wednesday, and while social media is abuzz with the latest happenings in the world of Mando, let's take a look back at one of the pivotal moments in the first season of this show: when Din removes his helmet in the season 1.
While there is still a part of me that laments that this group keeps their faces -- and more importantly, Pedro Pascal's face -- covered, it cannot be denied how powerful it was when he finally showed it in the last episode of season 1. If you recall, the main gang hides out in the cantina after Din is wounded. Cara Dune (Gina Carano) tries to get him to remove his helmet for treatment, but The Creed says he can't do that in front of a living being. If there’s one thing the galaxy far, far away, loves, it’s a good MacGuffin. From R2-D2’s secret Death Star plans to Sith Wayfinders, we’ve seen many of these storytelling devices over the past 46 years. Interestingly enough, The Mandalorian season 3 has just discarded one such MacGuffin in monumental style. In one fateful scene in “The Return,” showrunner Jon Favreau and executive producer Rick Famuyiwa put an end to thousands of years of Mandalorian history.
Star Wars has equally made its name on hard goodbyes, but in The Mandalorian, forget the heroic demise of Paz Vizsla, the fiery farewell of Moff Gideon, or even the realization we’ll likely never see Pedro Pascal beneath Din Djarin’s helmet again, the real loss of season 3 is the Darksaber.

Right from the very beginning, there’s always been a little fairytale DNA in Star Wars delivered a properly fairytale ending — so much so, it might as well have closed on a blue text card of its own: ‘And they all lived happily ever after.’
Probably the biggest surprise of ‘Chapter 24: The Return’ (is it a coincidence that the concluding act of Joseph Campbell’s hero’s journey structure is ‘Return’?) was how, well, final the finale felt. Not just as the ending of this latest arc of Din Djarin and Grogu’s tale, but of everything Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau’s show has established so far. If this wasn’t Star Wars – with its ‘no-one’s ever really gone’ continuous narrative drive — you’d be forgiven for thinking that the story was over. Moff Gideon seems to have been vanquished (albeit with much wiggle room should they...

[This story contains spoilers for The Mandalorian “Chapter 24: The Return.”]
On Wednesday, The Mandalorian season three finale wrapped up Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Bo-Katan Kryze’s (Katee Sackhoff) journey to reclaim Mandalore for the displaced and scattered Mandalorian people. In the process, it helped drive home that the series is bringing a narrative focus to Star Wars as it plots its return to the big screen in coming years.
In an action-packed 40-minutes, Din and Bo-Katan defeat Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), who was revealed this season to have escaped capture, while also effectively cloning himself to create an unstoppable force-sensitive clone army. The season’s penultimate episode also revealed Gideon’s involvement with the Shadow Council, a group of Empire loyalists that are working to overthrow the New Republic.
These are developments that not only serve Din and Grogu’s storyline, but also drive forward to support a greater Star Wars narrative as a whole.

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses major plot points in the Season 3 finale of “The Mandalorian,” currently streaming on Disney+.
It took all eight episodes of Season 3 for “The Mandalorian” to find its way back to itself, which is to say, back to Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his (now officially!) adopted child, Grogu. For most of Season 3, the core relationship of the series — the reason why “The Mandalorian” became an instant global phenomenon — was shunted aside in favor of tracking how Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan Kryze rallied the estranged factions of Mandalorians to take back their devastated homeworld.
Audiences have not responded kindly. Legions of reviews, tweets and YouTube videos vivisected this season of “The Mandalorian” for being “detached,” “unsatisfying,” “sloppy” and “the worst.” What had been a loose and uncomplicated story of Din and Grogu’s ongoing adventures had become instead a sprawling narrative steeped in Mandalorian lore that...

The Mandalorian season 3 finale, “The Return,” bucks a few of the series’ trends. Yes, the final boss is once again Moff Gideon, but this time, there’s no big cameo character coming to save the day just when all hope seems lost for the Mandalorians. Din, Grogu, and Bo-Katan have to defeat Gideon themselves. There’s also a surprising lack of easter eggs and callbacks, unless you wanna talk mouse droids or R5 having little jets just like R2 in Attack of the Clones. “The Return” just doesn’t deal in much nostalgia-bait, as reminiscent of Emperor Palpatine’s own plans Moff Gideon’s clone plot may seem.
Then there’s the biggest twist of all: the finale doesn’t have a post-credit scene. You can watch the end credits to the very end — and you should, a lot of talented people worked on this show!

Spoiler Alert: The following contains details of the Season 3 finale of Disney+/Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian, episode “Chapter 24: The Return,” written by Jon Favreau and directed by Rick Famuyiwa.
Season 3 of The Mandalorian wrapped with a nice bow versus any grave cliffhanger, or guest appearance from a Star Wars canon character ala Season 2, when a digitized version of Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker swooped in to scoop up Grogu for Jedi training.
Thrawn in the ‘Ahsoka’ trailer
Heading into today’s episode, you could say we were all expecting a cameo by General Admiral Thrawn before his big splash in Mandalorian spinoff Ahsoka due out this August; he being one of the big bad Star Wars villains, having debuted in the 1991 Timothy Zahn novel Heir to the Empire, which took place post-Return to the Jedi. Season 3 of The Mandalorian ended with the defeat of Moff Gideon and the reclamation of Mandalore. Bo-Katan Kryze and the Armorer have reignited the Great Forge, ready to usher in a new era for the planet and its people. In a really sweet moment, we finally get to see Din Djarin formally adopt Grogu as his own child so that he can become a Mandalorian apprentice. As part of the adoption, the Armorer stands in the Living Waters and christens the little Baby Yoda with a new name. But it’s Din Grogu rather than Grogu Djarin, which doesn’t actually make much sense based on what we know about Mandalorian culture and tradition?
Up until now, the Star Wars universe has mostly named characters based on the traditions of English-speaking countries where a first name precedes a surname or family name.

We hope you’re wearing your best beskar because it’s time to dive deep into the Mines of Mandalore for The Mandalorian season 3 finale. Although there wasn’t a big finale cameo or a post-credit scene setting up the next storyline, “The Return” was a satisfying episode where old scores were settled, new bonds were formed, and things were changed forever with another major death.

Season 3 of "The Mandalorian" has primarily concerned itself with exploring the eponymous group of castaways and their myriad cultural beliefs, from the significance of mythosaurs to earning the right to wield the Darksaber to the importance of reclaiming their lost home world of Mandalore. But despite being pushed to the background for several stretches of the season, our favorite Force-sensitive little miscreant has somehow managed to save one of the most surprising reveals of the finale for himself. (Check out /Film's recap by Bryan Young here.)
In the midst of the epic clash between Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon, itself taking place amid the larger engagement of Imperial remnant forces against Bo-Katan's (Katee Sackhoff) united Mandalorian front, Grogu stole the show with some heroics of his own. First saving Mando from his Stormtrooper captors,...

This Post Contains spoilers for this week’s episode of The Mandalorian, “The Return.”
A funny thing happens in the last 10 minutes of The Mandalorian Season Three: Din Djarin seems to be the central character again.
Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and company spent much of this season treating the show’s title as something that didn’t refer specifically to Grogu’s adoptive father, but to Mandalorian culture as a whole. We learned even more about the Watch’s silly rules regarding helmets, about the Mythosaur, and about tensions between different Mandalorian factions,...

This post contains spoilers for the season 3 finale of "The Mandalorian," "The Return."
After the penultimate episode of "The Mandalorian" season 3 aired, there was visible anxiety about the concluding episode, especially in relation to Din Djarin's (Pedro Pascal) fate on Mandalore. Would Mando be able to make it out unscathed, and would Grogu be okay in such a dangerous, high-stakes situation? Director Rick Famuyiwa, who helmed the final two episodes of this season, cranked up things to 100 after a string of middling-to-good episodes in a largely uneven third season. On the bright side, we got a ton of lore progression and "Star Wars Rebels" tie-ins, setting up the events to come in "Ahsoka."
Thankfully, Famuyiwa found a way to end season 3 on a rather lovely, wholesome note. The Mandalorians fight against the beskar-armored Imperial Super Commandos valiantly, Din is able to escape his captivity (with the aid of Ig-Grogu), and...

This Star Wars: The Mandalorian review contains spoilers.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 8: Chapter 24
“The Return” is a satisfying ending to what has been a rock-solid season of The Mandalorian, with all of the show’s carefully laid-out storylines converging in spectacular fashion. The season was light on the core Din Djarin/Grogu dynamic, but the redirected focus on Bo-Katan and the reunion of the estranged tribes under the mantle of The Creed paid off, underlined emphatically by the (apparent) demise of Moff Gideon.
One of the most dramatic aspects of these past two episodes has been the emphasis on Gideon’s evil plans for Mandalore. He razed the planet, scattered its people, and then had the gall to use their sacred act of forging Beskar armor to bolster his own army of Imperial Mando-lites. Gideon violates. He exploits. He violently misappropriates. Everything he does feels deeply personal, which makes...

"Never underestimate a droid," says Leia Organa in "The Rise of Skywalker." This is true, as droids have always emerged as the real MVPs in the "Star Wars" universe, although they come in different shapes and sizes (and not all droids side with the good guys!). Be it the endearing, stuttering B2EMO in "Andor" or the robotic-dog-esque Bd-1 in "Jedi: Fallen Order," droids are mostly loyal to those they like and often end up being instrumental in saving the day.
However, when the timid R5-D4 is first paired up with Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) in season 3 of "The Mandalorian," the droid is a total mess, and he is too scared to carry out little tasks on Mandalore. However, in the show's latest episode, R5-D4 battles his chronic anxiety and helps save the day, while...
