Episode Titles: "The Public Eye" & "The Left Hand"
Written By: Andrew Chambliss / Tracy Bellomo
Synopsis: Senator Daniel Perrin (Alexis Denisof) continues his investigation into the Rossum Corporation, but what he finds — and what the Dollhouse crew expects — turns out to be drastically more deadly and life-changing than he could have ever imagined.
In light of the revelation that Perrin isn't who he thinks he is, the senator finds an unlikely ally in Echo (Eliza Dushku) as the two attempt to escape the clutches of the D.C. branch of the Dollhouse — but beyond the authorities looking to recapture them, Perrin and Echo must contend with the brilliant Bennett Halverson (Summer Glau), the D.C. Dollhouse's technician who has a score to settle with Echo.
The Rossum Candidate: The reveal that Senator Daniel Perrin, the man leading the charge against Rossum and the Dollhouse, is in fact a doll himself was pretty darn cool. »

Though there is no word whether or not Fox will air the rest of Dollhouse’s second season, we do still have some things coming up to be excited for. This Friday marks the show’s return after being off the air for nearly two months, and it’s coming back with a bang. Two episodes will air this Friday on the network: “The Public Eye” and “The Left Hand.”
According to IMDb, in the first of the two-parter, Echo is sent to Washington, DC to stop Senator Daniel Perrin (guest Alexis Denisof) before he can expose the Dollhouse’s secrets. Adelle and Topher also travel to the Washington DC Dollhouse where they meet its genius programmer, Bennett Halverson (special guest Summer Glau), a woman with a mysterious past connection to Echo.
Following that episode, in “The Left Hand” Echo and Bennett have a shocking confrontation as Adelle goes head-to-head »

After last year’s “Save Chuck” campaign, it seems as if Chuck is riding high. With a 19-episode commitment (up’d from the original order commitment of 13) and a January 10 premiere date (up’d from its original March premiere), the only thing missing was a preview of the new season. That’s right, I said “was.”
With January right around the corner, NBC has already begun the Chuck promotion machine (maybe Fox can learn a thing or two) with a four minute look the upcoming third season and the only thing I can say to that is; “Yes!” and “Thank You!.”
Now, before we get to the clip, let’s talk about what to expect from the new season.
Anna Wu (Julia Ling) is officially gone in Season 3 In the season premiere, Chuck and Sarah will be in a three month spy training program while Chuck’s sister believes they’re vacationing in Europe. »

Listen up hi-def humbugs and Blu-ray Scrooges! This is the year you'll not just want, but need, to buy a new hi-def plasma screen and a shiny black Blu-ray player for Christmas (and/or whatever other holiday you choose to celebrate with lavish gifts). Why? Because this technology has reached its performance plateau. And it is finally at a reasonable price most of us can afford. Not only that, it serves as the one prefect gift the entire family can enjoy together. With more Blu-ray titles being released right now than ever before, there simply couldn't be a better time to dive head first into this leading technological platform.
But wait! There's one thing you don't want to overlook after all that exciting new equipment has been unwrapped. Without a stack of Blu-ray discs strategically placed in each family member's stocking with care, your gorgeous new HD flat screen becomes a delectable serving tray, »

Well I have to admit, I'm a little surprised by the results of last week's poll. Although Angelina Jolie has probably starred in the most high-profile female action roles over the past few years, I really didn't think she would top Milla Jovovich as the number 1 female action star currently working today. As it turns out, Film Junk readers voted Jolie #1 and Jovovich #2, although they weren't all that far apart. The next closest vote-getter was Uma Thurman, followed by Kate Beckinsale and a two-way tie between Summer Glau and Zoe Bell. Asian action stars apparently don't cut it for Fj readers, but I honestly thought Chocolate star Yanin Vismistananda would get a little more love from the hardcore martial arts fans. Do you agree with these results? Would the addition of any other names have changed the outcome of this poll? 1. Angelina Jolie -- 23.6% 2. Milla Jovovich -- 20.9% 3. Uma Thurman -- »

Hello, Angels. Hello, Television. Yep, Charlie’s Angels might be coming back to a TV screen near you. Now, I know there was talk earlier this year about a fourth film in the franchise, but this is a full-on series reboot. Um, Ok, but will you please promise to make their hair as bouncy as the originals?
According to Variety, ABC is close to ordering a pilot for an update of the popular '70s series. Helming the new Angels would be a man who already knows a thing or two about remakes: Josh Friedman. The Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles creator is set to write and executive produce the new Angels.
Now, that series was hit and miss. It featured an excellent cast (Lena Headey! Summer Glau!) and interesting storyline, but failed to attract a broad audience and was cancelled after two seasons. Also, Friedman’s background (writing The Black Dahlia, »

The remake bug has made its transition from the big screen to the small screen. This infectious virus, which the Cdc (Center for Disease Control) has categorized as the most aggressive ever, has been mutated and become a full-fledged epidemic among the major television networks. It started a couple of years ago when NBC tried to remake two classic shows from the 70’s and 80’s, Bionic Woman and Knight Rider.
ABC has already showed symptoms of the bug with its most recent remakes of V and Melrose Place. Now, according to Variety, ABC’s next attempt will be the 70’s female spy show Charlie’s Angels. Josh Friedman, who helped adapt Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for Fox, Leonard Goldberg who was a producer for the original Charlie’s Angels, Steve McPherson, and Drew Barrymore (who was in the movie version of the show in 2000 and its 2003 sequel) are all attached to the project. »

What was once old always becomes new again. Right now the upper management at ABC are close to ordering a pilot for a new casting of Charlie's Angels, the classic 1970s action-adventure hour-long series beloved by little girls and older boys for completely different reasons.
When it came out in 1976, Angels was an instant hit and cemented Farrah Fawcett (then called Fawcett-Majors due to her nupitals with Six Million Dollar Man star Lee Majors) as the last poster queen. While Ff only starred in the show for a season before trying to play her cards as a movie star (Saturn 3? Sunburn? Man, it's pretty bad when you're only decent big screen performance from the 1970s was in Logan's Run), the show proved to have legs enough for a six season run. Drew Barrymore dusted it off and McG reimagined the concept slightly more tongue-in-cheek for the Charlie's Angels movies »

Joss Whedon's Dollhouse has struggled during its second week in the ill-fated Friday time slot at Fox. A pair of Battlestar Galactica cameos did little to lift ratings and a month long hiatus during November signaled impending doom.
Just two weeks into the hiatus, Fox has officially confirmed the second season of Dollhouse will be its last. No more Eliza Dushku as Echo parading around in skimpy outfits or Tahmoh Penikett as Paul Ballard fantasizing about her.
Staying true to comments made when the show went on hiatus, Fox confirms all 13 episodes will air to give Whedon the opportunity to end the show "in a significant way" per a Fox statement. Dollhouse is slated to return to Fox on December 4 and wrap up its run with Summer Glau joining the cast.
Meanwhile over at ABC, the Kelsey Grammer comedy Hank has been shown the door following a wave of dismal ratings and poor reviews. »

"Dollhouse" fans, the news you've been dreading has officially arrived — Joss Whedon's latest television endeavor is dead.
The Hollywood Reporter has the breaking news that Fox has canceled "Dollhouse," the Eliza Dushku-starring series created by Whedon. The article notes that despite a DVR-induced ratings bump, "Dollhouse" just couldn't cut it by the network's standards. As a result, the series will be put out to pasture after the 13th episode of the second season. Episode 11 is currently filming.
If the ratings and the mixed reaction from fans and reviewers weren't proof enough that "Dollhouse" was in trouble, the very fact that Fox pulled the series from November sweeps was a clear indicator of the show's impending cancellation.
Now, it appears that Fox won't even wait on the performance of the previously announced "Dollhouse" doubleheaders set to air throughout December. In fact, according to THR, it's unclear whether the remaining »

The mixed reviews and poor ratings have led Fox to formally cancel Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse.
The second season show, starring and co-produced by Eliza Dushku, is currently on a planned hiatus, keeping it from the harsh glare of the November Sweeps ratings period.
The announced plan has the final episodes broadcast on these dates: two episodes each will air December 4, 11 and 18, from 8 pm to 10 p.m. The last three episodes will air on January 8, 15 and 22 at 9 p.m.
Whedon has been given sufficient notice so the final episodes will wrap up the existing storylines. Summer Glau was recently added to the cast and will play a pivotal role with her knowledge of someone’s past life.
A second season DVD set is expected but no date has been announced.
This marks the second failed series Whedon has produced for Fox, after Firefly. He has yet to issue a formal »

THR is reporting that Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse is canceled although it will be allowed to finish its 13-episode order for season two. At the beginning of the year Fox thought it had a killer Friday-night genre pair with Dollhouse following The Sarah Connor Chronicles (which was canceled last May). Both shows featured ass-kicking Whedon gals in sci-fi shows with ads highlighting the sex appeal of stars Eliza Dushku and Summer Glau. It was a perfect plan except for one little thing: no one watches TV on Friday nights. It’s a lesson that the Fox network fails to learn time and time again. And while every showrunner can put on a brave smile and say they don’t believe in superstition or that they’re going to break the trend, we all know that Nielsen ratings continue rule all. This makes DVR, Hulu, iTunes, etc. not additional metrics of »

Following up on the previous news about the Terminator franchise rights being up for sale, self-proclaimed "Very Important Hollywood Mogul" Joss Whedon has penned a hilarious note to the franchise owners in an attempt to acquire the franchise with a mighty fine $10,000 check. Says Whedon: "That's four -- Four! -- zeroes after that one. That's to show you I mean business. And I mean show business." He goes on to list the myriad of brilliant ideas he has for the franchise, including Terminator of the Rings ("Yeah, what if he time-travelled Too far... back to when there was dragons and wizards?"), liberal use of Summer Glau, and a throat lozenge for a certain Mr. Bale. While hilarious, the piece could also be seen as spitting on the grave of the recently departed Sarah Connor Chronicles. It was very clear come last season that Fox was willing to only keep ... »

In case you haven't heard, the rights to the Terminator franchise are once again going to be up for grabs [1] when they are auctioned off later this month, and a number of studios are said to be interested including Sony, Summit Entertainment and Media Rights Capital. It's unclear what this will mean for the future of the franchise, but apparently big media corporations aren't the only ones hoping to get a chance to repackage and resell the robot apocalypse. Believe it or not, there are a few other interested parties out there, including one... Joss Whedon? In a somewhat humourous and irreverent open letter posted on Whedonesque [2] and Deadline Hollywood [3], the man behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly and Dollhouse offers up a tidy sum of $10,000 for the franchise, and proceeds to give some of his ideas about what to do with it. As expected, there is at least one »
