2017-11-28T06:29:03-08:00Is John Mayer Stalking Katy Perry?
John Mayer, the 40-year-old musician who was once romantically linked to young pop stars such as Taylor Swift and Jessica Simpson, may not be attracting the romantic attention he did a few years ago, but he admitted in a recent interview that he still has some interest in at least one of his exes. Mayer told Andy Cohen that he tuned in to Katy Perry's intimate livestream experiment earlier this year, and he sent a 'happy birthday' text to her at 4am. Is it possible that the former Romeo is holding a torch for Katy?
Via Us Weekly.
Not a big deal! John Mayer has admitted that, yes, he watched ex Katy Perry’s livestream. Back in June, the “Roar” singer took part in a 72-hour YouTube experiment to interact with her fans.
“Yeah, I did.

6.11 R Is For Romeo
Homeland season six is in its final movements. The season finale is only a week away, and the penultimate hour didn’t want you to forget that as it ended its fifty-minute drama on a thundering cliffhanger filled with explosives, vital missed phone conversations, and every implication that a full-throated military coup is in motion with CIA badmen headed to “protect” the president-elect at gunpoint.
And ironically, the most exciting thing about the episode is not in the pyrotechnics of a somewhat arbitrary cliffhanger; it’s in the tension of a president (or president-elect) sitting down with rightwing talk radio/fake news, legitimising...

"A father will do anything to save his daughter's future." Sundance Selects + IFC Films have debuted the official Us trailer for a film titled Graduation, made by acclaimed Romanian filmmaker Cristian Mungiu. Mungiu won the Palme d'Or at Cannes a few years ago for 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days, and this new film also premiered in competition at Cannes last year. Graduation (or Bacalaureat in Romanian) is about a father and his daughter, who is just about to graduate and go to a university in the UK. But an attack against her jeopardizes everything. It's a complex film about compromises and the implications of the parent's role. The cast includes Adrian Titieni, Maria Dragus, Rares Andrici, Lia Bugnar, Malina Manovici and Vlad Ivanov. This received fairly positive reviews at Cannes, but it's not better than Mungiu's other films. Here's the new official Us trailer (+ poster) for Cristian Mungiu's Graduation, direct...

Many of Britain’s notable entertainment figures were shocked upon hearing that the country had decided to pull itself from the European Union. Thursday’s vote on Brexit – the name given to the decision if the United Kingdom should remain a member of the E.U. – resulted in 52 percent in favor of departing and 48 percent wanting to stay.
The bitterly divided nation’s choice could leave the county’s economy and government in disarray and unleash unforeseen consequences that have many in Hollywood worried. The results of the referendum resulted in a slew of negative feelings from the entertainment industry’s well-known players. Ricky Gervais posted various comments on Twitter, even joking about Donald Trump.

To launch the BFI’s celebration of Shakespeare on film, and a global tour of the Bard’s movie adaptations, the veteran star picks the best screen performances, from Judi Dench to Laurence Olivier
It is 400 years since Shakespeare died and, as part of the festivities, Ian McKellen is spearheading a selection of Shakespearean films at the BFI in London that will tour 110 countries, including Cuba, Iraq, Russia and the Us, in the most extensive film programme ever undertaken. We will be able to revel in Franco Zeffirelli’s Romeo & Juliet (were star-crossed lovers ever more swooningly starry?), in Akira Kurosawa’s Ran – a compelling Japanese reinvention of King Lear – and salute a masterly, and remastered, Richard III, which will be presented live on stage for a UK-wide simulcast starring McKellen himself.

BBC One is looking to give the cop show a twist with its new series Cuffs - and star Ashley Walters has said he had something to prove in taking on the part of PC Ryan Draper.
Walters told press including Digital Spy that he was happy to break away from the "bad boy" character type he'd played on Channel 4's Top Boy.
"I'm known for playing a lot of gangster bad boy roles, and [there's] the whole So Solid stigma," he admitted. "But hopefully if I can make people believe that I'm a copper, then I'm doing well at my job, because I can go from one extreme to the other.
"It's good to be doing something really different. On Top Boy, I found myself, every day, on the phone - 'Where are ya? You got the food [drugs]? Where's the money?' - and all my scenes were in Dalston Market.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, The Naked Prey remains the only film directed by Cornel Wilde to be widely available, a situation that based on this example, is a lamentable state of affairs indeed. An incredibly physical actor, who was at least as proficient an athlete, Wilde found himself regularly typecast in classically heroic roles after moving to Hollywood. He had been offered a place on the Us Olympic fencing team in 1936, but turned it down to pursue his acting career. In 1940, Wilde played Tybalt in Laurence Olivier's New York stage production of Romeo & Juliet, for which he also choreographed the sword fights. Then in 1945 he was cast as composer Frederic Chopin opposite his acting hero Paul Muni in Charles Vidor's A...

This is according to the show's star Ashley Walters (formerly So Solid Crew's Asher D), who revealed that the Toronto rapper was prepared to put up the money to move Top Boy to the Us.
Speaking on YouTube series Not For The Radio, Walters said: "Drake thought [Top Boy] was proper. This was via text. I was speaking to Future mainly, Drake's manager. We were going back and forth. And we were like, 'Put a deal on the table'.
"Eventually they got in contact and asked, 'What's happening with series three?' I told them Channel 4 had cancelled it. They said, 'That's sad, but we're going to do something about it'. Furthermore Drake was like, 'You need to break America'. He wanted to help.

Passage Over India: Lelouch’s Romantic Dramedy an Overstuffed Pilgrimage
French auteur Claude Lelouch, now well into his seventies, maintains a prolific career, striding through a sixth decade of filmmaking. However, the director, who scored his greatest successes following the inception of the New Wave with 1966’s A Man and a Woman, a simplistic love story which took home the Palme d’Or and the Foreign Language Oscar, continues a dismaying practice of busybodied narratives gone haywire with his latest effort, Un plus Une (the masculine and feminine form of ‘a’). While his masterpiece is widely regarded as the 1981 musical epic Les uns et les autres (known in the Us as Bolero), a decades spanning, multicultural wonder, it also represents a tidemark of ambitious narrative scope often repeated since but with little success (including an inhibited 1986 sequel to A Man and a Woman). Big Brovaz made a surprise comeback on UK television on Friday night during Celebrity Big Brother's launch.
Four of the original six members appeared on Channel 5's Bit on the Side, performing arguably their most famous hit 'Nu Flow'. Their appearance met with the enjoyment of many fans online, and the group were a Twitter trend for the remainder of the weekend.
The R&B-pop group scored four top ten hits in the early 2000s, and were perhaps the 'nice' antidote to So Solid Crew at the time. Cherise and Nadia later went on to form Booty Luv, and they disbanded by 2007.

The rapper said that he was "rooting" for Crosby to win this year's show after she tweeted him following his time on the series in 2012.
"This year's show was quite interesting," he told Digital Spy. "I just found out Charlotte won as I didn't get to watch the final. I was rooting for her or Abz to win.

If you heard the sound of popping champagne corks and cheering in Los Angeles over the weekend, it’s more than likely that it was the celebrations over at Lionsgate HQ. The mini-major were built on low-budget genre fare like “Saw,” but hoped that their adaptation of young-adult publishing phenomenon “The Hunger Games,” co-written and directed by “Seabiscuit” helmer Gary Ross, would push them into the blockbuster game for the first time. And boy, did it ever. In only three days, it surpassed “Fahrenheit 9/11” as the company's biggest ever grosser, taking in around $155 million, making it the third biggest domestic opener of all time, and the most successful non-sequel ever.
