- While Vice President at Warner Bros., Daniel R. Chavez was given advice and encouragement from Clint Eastwood to pursue his dream of directing.
- During the filming of "Broken Glass", writer/director Daniel R. Chavez sent the head shot of Cesar Garcia (played Hector Villalobos) to the producers of "Breaking Bad". Cesar subsequently appeared in 5 episodes of the hit series.

- While an executive at Disney, Daniel proposed at the famously secret Club 33 in Disneyland. His oldest son Stephen was born on December 5th - the same day Walt Disney was born.
