Amy Green and Gary Green hosted probably one of the best events of summer 2023 – the inaugural Footprint of Life Gala at their residence in Bridgehampton.
The family-run The Green Vision Foundation curated a star-studded night to bring together like-minded organizations to collectively support and bring much-needed awareness and raised in excess of $600,000.
The jungle-themed “50 Shades of Green” soiree benefitted the charity partners’ work to preserve and protect the natural world, promote community upliftment, and most importantly support conservation programs across Africa. The inaugural event is anticipated to pave the way for many more events to come that will center around communities throughout the world.
The glamorous night had many captivating aspects including cocktails, curated food stations, a live auction, musical performances by Jan Blomqvist, Grace Vanderwaal and DJ Ruckus. Additionally, work by David Yarrow, recognized as one of the best fine art photographers in the world, was prominently displayed.

Did anyone else on this planet watch, uh... that show, that CW show... shit, what the hell was the name? Hold on one second. [Runs to Wikipedia.] Ah, right — High Society. Did anyone else on this planet watch High Society, that true train wreck of the reality TV genre that "followed" the "life" of Tinsley Mortimer and her "socialite" "friends"? (I'm not even sure how to describe it. Everything was wrong. The show had anti-narrative.) If you did, then you already know Devorah Rose, the ridiculously named social climber/editor of a fake magazine. If you didn't, this is Devorah Rose: (I'm truly sorry about that. Also, in case you were confused, Devorah is the giant praying mantis next to the lady in the ridiculous hat.) This seems like the kind of woman that celebrated novelist and Booker [...]...

'High Society' didn't mean high ratings.
The CW reality show, about infamous New York City socialite of Tinsley Mortimer, has been canceled after one season, according to the NY Post.
Viewership had fallen below one million per episode, according to the report.
Mortimer, who has been described as a charity-ball staple, model and designer, was not happy about her portrayal on the show and complained to producers about her depiction. Mortimer was reportedly upset about how her conflict with rival Devorah Rose was shown on the show.

Tinsley Mortimer's CW reality show, "High Society," has been canned after just one season, Page Six has learned. Sources say CW made the decision after Tinsley, her mother, Dale Mercer, and sister Dabney complained about the way they were portrayed -- especially over hysterical antics with Tinsley's arch-enemy Devorah Rose. An insider said, "Tinsley was told she would have some editorial control, but she was horrified to find she had none and was being put in situations where people...

The CW reality star dishes about Tinsley, throwing champagne at Jules, and the possibility of a second season! Are you going to tune in to the finale tonight?
Queen Bees and sisters Tinsley Mortimer and Dabney Mercer rule the New York social scene in CW’s High Society — but it’s magazine editor and socialite Devorah Rose who is making waves with viewers. As Tinsley’s supposed former friend and current archrival, Devorah brings the drama wherever she goes. HollywoodLife.com spoke with her to get the inside story about what life’s really like in New York Society. Devorah even admits, “I threw champagne at [cos-star Jules Kirby] … and then nailed her with the glass for good measure!” Ouch!
High Society features some of the wildest antics ever shown on reality television. Are society girls really as wacky as they appear on the show? Or are they just making television?

If you're a regular reader here at Are You Screening?, that title alone is going to demand a bit of explanation, and I'm inclined to give it to you. We'll see how it goes. Among the latest crop of shows to partake of the theory that as long as living human beings are in front of the camera, there are, ipso facto, "real" people in front of the camera, and therefore you can call yourself reality television is the CW's High Society. Basically, it's the Tinsley Mortimer show, with other New York socialites (or whatever) being involved by way of some connection to Tinsley, whether that be friend, enemy, or frenemy (I could watch Gossip Girl). Notable members of the cast include- Paul Johnson Calderon, actually billed on the show as "Page Six Scandal Boy," and Jules Kirby, actually billed on the show as "trust-fund partier." The former apparently has some vague connection to Tinsley,...

Even though Devorah and Jules were both mysteriously absent from tonight’s proceedings, Tinsley’s insanity and a healthy dose of Dale made this one entertaining half-hour of television.
“My life is like a tennis match,” Tinsley tells us as we watch her literally play tennis. “A constant back and forth. And lately, my thoughts are bouncing back to Topper!” Uh-oh: we smell shenanigans on the Upper East Side. Er, or in Midtown, where Tinsley’s living post-divorce.
After getting out her aggression on the court, Tinz goes to see some buyers about her handbags. “Wait, don’t film this,” she says as two of her bags fall from the trunk of a car to the ground. In a confessional, she explains that she’s just frazzled because at 5:30 this morning, Topper came to her apartment. Whaaaa?...

The CW recently began airing a new reality show, High Society, that follows the wealthy "in crowd." Is the series rich in ratings?
High Society revolves around a group of young and beautiful New York socialites. The cast includes Alexandra Osipow, Dabney Mercer, Dale Mercer, Devorah Rose, Jules Kirby, Paul Johnson Calderon, and Tinsley Mortimer.
The series got off to a slow start on March 10th with just a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.26 million viewers. The second episode dropped in total viewers though the 18-49 demo remained the same.
The numbers haven't gotten better and have continued to fall. This week's installment, the show's sixth, attracted just a 0.3 rating and 0.77 million viewers. These are terrible numbers, even by CW standards and many cable shows are performing better.

Drama! Drink throwing! Dale at a dating service! All in a day’s work for High Society, the reality show we love to hate.
In an attempt to add some meaning to her hopelessly superficial life, Tinsley has decided to travel to Uganda and work in an orphanage. Just kidding! She’s actually getting ready for a party. Two men are attending to the socialite’s hair and makeup when her friend Alex walks in, ranting and raving about what Devorah said to a reporter from New York Magazine last episode. “Who the f-ck does she think she is? She’s literally a delusional piece of white trash!” Alex fumes.
Dale, who is conveniently and inexplicably watching Tinz get her hair done, advises her daughter to respond to Devorah’s allegations. Yes, Tinsley, please listen to your crazy, crazy mother. Then Tinsley mockingly says,...

I don't know what's up with me. I don't like reality shows, but I'm kind of interested in High Society after watching the premiere last week. I already have a strong aversion to that girl Jules. She's highly and unnecessarily dramatic.
A new episode will be airing this week on March 17 and the CW has released three sneak peeks for the episode. I've also posted a few promo photos for the episode below the videos. Enjoy!
If You Can’T Say Anything Nice…
Dabney and Alexandra throw Tinsley a “Single’s Shower” where her mother, Dale, makes things awkward. Paris Fashion Week finds Tinsley with a German prince who may not be what he seems.
Jules battles with the hotel staff. The cast also includes John Paul Calderon and Devorah Rose

So have you heard about the new CW reality show called High Society? The series is set to premiere on March 10 and will feature Mahattan socialite Tinsley Mortimer and her friends. I'm thinking The Hills, but set in New York. You're got the straight-laced (or supposedly straight-laced) girl in the lead and then she's surrounded by a whole whack of crazy friends. Good times.
