The autumn cliches are now complete, so let’s move on.

A nude scene of Marilyn Monroe with Clark Gable from the 1961 film The Misfits was found this week. On Sunday, Deadline reported that Charles Casillo — a writer who was conducting research for his forthcoming book Marilyn Monroe: The Private Life of a Public Icon — found the scene, which had been believed to be destroyed. In fact, a producer named Curtice Taylor had conserved […]...

After being considered lost for more than half a century, a nude scene from Marilyn Monroe’s final film has been found. Charles Casillo learned that the footage has been saved while researching his forthcoming book “Marilyn Monroe: The Private Life of a Public Icon” and that the son of Frank Taylor, producer of “The Misfits,” has kept it in a locked cabinet since his father died in 1999.
Director John Huston — who won two Academy Awards and was nominated for eight more — is said to have considered the scene gratuitous and thus chosen not to include it in the final film, which co-stars Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift and was written by Monroe’s then-husband, Arthur Miller. “A lot of times, unused takes were destroyed. But Frank Taylor believed that it was so important and so ground-breaking that he saved it,” said Taylor’s son Curtice, per the Daily Mail.

When Marilyn Monroe filmed 1961’s The Misfits, director John Huston decided not to include footage in which the actress appeared nude — but 57 years later, the scene, which has long believed to have been lost, has been uncovered.
While working on an upcoming book about the actress — Marilyn Monroe: the Private Life of a Public Icon — author Charles Casillo arranged for an interview with the son of the film’s producer Frank Taylor, who revealed that the footage had been kept in a safe since his father’s death in 1999.

A nude scene long believed lost featuring Marilyn Monroe in John Huston’s The Misfits has been re-discovered. The footage, cut from the film by Huston, was previously believed to have been destroyed.
Author Charles Casillo made the discovery during the research for his book, Marilyn Monroe: The Private Life of a Public Icon, out via St. Martin’s Press on Tuesday.
Casillo interviewed Curtice Taylor, son of Misfits producer Frank Taylor, and learned that he has kept the footage in a locked cabinet since his father’s death in 1999.
In a love scene with Clark Gable, Monroe dropped the covering bed-sheet and exposed her body. It would have been one of the first – if not the first – nude scenes by an American actress in a major production in the sound era of film if it had made it into the final version.

They were two of the biggest female sex symbols of the 50s and early 60s, but Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor didn't consider each other competitors. "In many ways [they] were pitted against each other by the press," Charles Casillo writes in his new book, Marilyn Monroe: The Private Life of a Public Icon. "In reality, they barely knew each other, and the two had no animosity toward each other." Quite the opposite! Casillo writes of an incident in 1962, when 20th Century Fox was bleeding money on Liz's over-budgeted extravaganza Cleopatra. The studio simultaneously fired Marilyn for alleged absences from the set of her never-completed final film, the aptly titled Something's Gotta Give. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Marilyn felt she was being sacrificed so Fox could save on her salary and spend it on finishing the bloated Egyptian epic. Two decades later, Liz revealed to a friend that she had reached...

Whoa, what a way to start the new year! After several weeks of desolate conditions in terms of horror title releases, the floodgate just burst open.
This is the week you may want to think about using up those giftcards and cash you got from returning your holiday presents. Major releases are vying for your greenbacks alongside re-releases in Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D (in case Santa brought you a 3D TV recently), and other more independent titles. In addition to movies, there's also a Buffy motion comic and the next volume of a vampire's diary in paperback.

Everyone loves a lesbian sex scene -- or so says Natalie Portman. The "Black Swan" star spills, "Everyone was so worried about who was going to want to see this movie. I remember them being like, 'How do you get guys to a ballet movie? How do you get girls to a thriller?' And the answer is a lesbian scene. Everyone wants to see that." Jury's out on whether her steamy scene with Mila Kunis was the main draw for the dark thriller, but Portman's role is sure to garner her an Oscar nod. [EW]

Lydia Hearst-Shaw has denied that she has signed to appear in upcoming film Dogs in Pocketbooks. Earlier this week, it was reported that the socialite-turned-actress was confirmed to star in the Charles Casillo-penned film, as a character which the scriptwriter suggested was based on Lindsay Lohan. However, Hearst-Shaw took to Twitter to dismiss the rumours, and clarified why she had recently dyed her hair a similar colour to the Machete star's natural red hair. She explained: "Just so we are all clear.. My hair is Red because I am the new face of Schwarzkopf color. (more)...

We don't report on movie-star gossip and what they're up to (unless it relates to film), but I'm sure several of you have heard what's going on with Lindsay Lohan. In and out of court, rehab, and being replaced in a film that was kind of her last resort... I mean, if she's denied the chance to get naked on screen, what does she have left? However, she can be made fun of, which Charles Casillo's new film aims to do.
Yeah, she'll be playing Lohan and... you're still reading this?
It was only a matter of time until someone did, and Casillo just beat everyone to it. He announced his new comedy, Dogs in Pocketbooks, will star model Lydia Hearst and be based on Lindsay Lohan. He had the following to add:...

Model and actress Lydia Hearst Shaw is squashing rumors that she's signed on to star in a movie that some say greatly resembles the life of Lindsay Lohan. Lydia tweeted on Tuesday: "Just so we are all clear.. My hair is Red because I am the new face of Schwarzkopf color. I am a model. I dyed my hair to front the campaign." The upcoming film Lydia was rumored to be connected with is 'Dogs in Pocketbooks.' She later tweeted: "As for any theatrical roles, I am currently filming 'Two Jacks' directed by Bernard Rose. My next project is 'Catwalk' by [Anthony] Hickox." The New York Post spoke with the 'Dogs in Pocketbooks' screenwriter Charles Casillo who defended the film saying it is "in no way mean-spirited toward Lindsay." He added, "It's the kind of thing she has spoofed about herself in the past." Lindsay has had quite the year between rehab,...

Lydia Hearst has distanced herself from reports she has been cast in a movie allegedly based on Lindsay Lohan's life, insisting her new red-headed look has nothing to do with a film project.
The socialite-turned-actress was announced as the lead in Dogs in Pocketbooks, a satire about a troubled young star which screenwriter Charles Casillo has suggested was inspired by the Mean Girls star.
But Hearst, who recently ditched her trademark blonde look, has denied the casting news, explaining she adopted her new auburn hairstyle for a modelling job - and not to look like Lohan for the role.
In a series of messages posted on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "Just so we are all clear... My hair is red because I am the new face of Schwarzkopf Color. I am a model. I dyed my hair to front the campaign.
"As for any theatrical roles I am currently filming Two Jacks directed by Bernard Rose. My next project is Catwalk by Tony Hickox. Thank you all for your messages of encouragement during my transition to acting. I truly love and appreciate it. At this time I am not officially signed onto any other projects."
Casillo has since clarified that the character was inspired by a number of stars besides Lohan - including Marilyn Monroe and Britney Spears - after the actress' mother threatened legal action to halt production.

Lydia Hearst Shaw doesn’t want any trouble.
In what’s probably a very smart move, the would-be star of “Dogs in Pocketbooks,” the Hollywood satire whose troubled protagonist bears more than a passing resemblance to Lindsay Lohan, has pretty much denied all knowledge of the project, according to New York Magazine.
“As for any theatrical roles, I am currently filming ‘Two Jacks,’ directed by Bernard Rose,” the heiress recently tweeted. “My next project is ‘Catwalk’ by Tony Hickox. At this time I am not officially signed onto any other projects.”
She’s no fool, that Lydia Hearst Shaw. She knows that when Lindsay Lohan’s mom says that she’s gonna sue, she definitely means it.
But wait… don’t sue, Mom! “Dogs In Pocketbooks” isn’t about your daughter. No way.
“It’s more like it’s based on some of the headlines she’s generated,” said screenwriter Charles Casillo to Entertainment Weekly.

A new movie starring Joan Collins and Lydia Hearst is based on the troubled past of Lindsay Lohan. “Dogs in Pocketbooks” is based on Lohan’s past going in and out of jail and rehab. Hearst will play the role of the young starlet while Collins will play her high-powered agent. Filming will begin in February. Collins told New York Post’s Page Six “The script is a hoot -- a satire on the crazed hysteria surrounding showbiz celebrities. I'm playing an aggressive, sexy, powerful woman. For a change." Charles Casillo, the screenwriter said “Lydia will play a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media -- a role obviously based on Lindsay Lohan. I spent a lot of time casting for the right actress for this screwball comedy, but Lydia is perfect.

Well, there's nothing quite like subtlety.
TMZ reports that the Lohan clan is none too thrilled with Casillo's script. "They are again using her likeness without her being compensated," Lohan family lawyer Stephanie Ovadia tells the site. She notes that the family sued E*Trade for including a "milkaholic" baby named Lindsay in its ads.
Dina Lohan warns ominously, "Anyone bringing up negativity will be dealt with accordingly."

Lydia Hearst-Shaw has been described as "perfect" for the role of a character "obviously based" on Lindsay Lohan. Hearst-Shaw, heiress to the publishing giant William Randolph Hearst, will portray a 'spoofed' version of Lohan in the film Dogs in Pocketbooks. Screenwriter Charles Casillo told The New York Post: "[Shaw] will play a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media - a role obviously based on Lindsay Lohan." Hearst-Shaw, primarily a model, has appeared topless in GQ Italia and acted in the hit TV drama Gossip Girl. Casillo described the casting process for Pocketbooks, saying: "I spent a lot of time casting for the right actress (more)...

The writer/producer of " Dogs in Pocketbooks " now insists his movie is Not about Lindsay Lohan ... maybe because the Lohan's are making rumblings of a lawsuit. Charles Casillo now tells TMZ ... reports that the movie -- about a starlet addicted to drugs and alcohol who goes in and out of rehab -- is based on Lindsay are "totally blown out of proportion." Interesting comment, given what Casillo told Page 6 a few days ago: "[The movie] is in no way mean-spirited towards Lindsay.

We all remember how personally Lindsay Lohan took that E*Trade commercial featuring a “milkoholic” baby named Lindsay, but screenwriter Charles Casillo insists the actress has nothing to worry about with his upcoming film Dogs in Pocketbooks. TMZ reports that the Lohans are already considering legal action after the New York Post’s Page Six column wrote that the script centers on a character based on Lindsay. (Reps for Lohan have not returned EW’s request for comment.) “It’s more like it’s based on some of the headlines she’s generated. Not a biography. The movie is a...

If you've never heard of Lydia Hearst-Shaw, she's essentially a non-slutty, less publicized version of Paris Hilton. Great-granddaughter of publishing giant William Randolph Hearst, the heiress has more fame to her name than being the offspring of a historical media man. Aside from working as a journalist (writing for Page Six of The New York Post), she's more well-known as a model (appearing in Vogue, GQ and more) and most recently, acting roles in "Gossip Girl" and a couple low profile indie films like The Last International Playboy. Now The New York Post reports the heiress is taking aim at troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan for her next role. Apparently Hearst-Shaw will lead a screwball comedy called Dogs in Pocketbooks in which she'll play a comic character based on Lohan and her publicized trials and tribulations with fame. Screenwriter Charles Casillo revealed, "Lydia will play a bratty movie goddess...

Lindsay Lohan's mother has confirmed the family is considering legal action in a bid to stop a movie spoofing the actress' colourful personal life.
Lydia Hearst and Joan Collins have signed up for roles in Dogs in Pocketbooks, about a troubled young star making her way in Hollywood, and screenwriter Charles Casillo has confirmed the model/socialite's part is "obviously based on Lindsay Lohan".
The move has already riled Lohan's father Michael, who criticised the film plans, and now the actress' mother Dina has confirmed she is talking to lawyers about the project.
Lohan settled a multi-million dollar battle with executives at financial firm E-Trade back in September over allegations they mocked her in an advert, and Dina is convinced bosses behind Dogs in Pocketbooks could face a similar lawsuit.
She tells TMZ.com, "(The movie role) is definitely based on Lindsay's likeness... We have a very strong case. It's shadowing E-Trade... Anyone bringing negativity will be dealt with accordingly."
Lawyer Stephanie Ovadia, who has reportedly been retained by Dina, adds, "They are again using her likeness without her being compensated... Not only that but they are advertising the fact that they are using her likeness."...

Lydia Hearst Shaw is doing her best to separate herself from the controversy building around the upcoming film "Dogs in Pocketbooks." Screenwriter Charles Casillo announced Monday that he had hired Hearst Shaw as the lead in his satire on the life of Lindsay Lohan (and, apparently, other starlets). But after Lohan's mother Dina lashed out and threatened to sue over the project, Shaw took to her Twitter to clarify that she is not involved in the film.
"Just so we are all clear.. My hair is Red because I am the new face of Schwarzkopf color. I am a model. I dyed my hair to front the campaign," she tweeted. "As for any theatrical roles I am...

Mom Dina Lohan says the family has 'a very strong case' against satirical film.

It took less than a day for reps from the Lohan family to speak out against Charles Casillo's latest film, "Dogs in Pocketbooks." The screenplay was written as a satire of Lindsay Lohan's life, though Casillo was emphatic that the film was "in no way mean-spirited toward Lindsay," adding, "It's the kind of thing she has spoofed about herself in the past."
But the Lohan family has been notoriously sensitive about anything that makes a mockery of Lindsay, most recently seen when they sued E-Trade for $100 million because of an ad that was modeled after her and ran during the Super Bowl.
Dina Lohan, Lindsay's mother, spoke with TMZ and said the family is considering legal action against Casillo. She said the new movie...

Actor and screenwriter Charles Casillo made news for his latest project “Dogs in Pocketbooks” by announcing that model and heiress to the Hearst Publishing fortune Lydie Hearst Shaw landed her first movie role, playing a character in the film based on Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay Lohan is getting a big screen treatment. The 24-year-old actress and her scandalous life have apparently inspired screenwriter Charles Casillo to develop "Dogs in Pocketbooks". Although putting a comedic spin to the actress' troubles, he told the New York Post this movie didn't aim to poke fun at the actress.
"[The movie] is in no way mean-spirited towards Lindsay," the screenwriter whose short film "Fetish" was a hit on the festival circuit insisted. He added, "It's the kind of thing she has spoofed about herself in the past. It's more of a satire about the crazy people around her and the situations they generate. It satirizes the obsession with modern celebrity."
On which actress he chose to portray Lindsay, Charles unraveled he has hired Lydia Hearst-Shaw. "I spent a lot of time casting for the right actress for this screwball comedy, but Lydia is perfect," he praised the fashion model daughter of Patricia Hearst.

The life of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has inspired the plot of a new comedy movie starring Joan Collins and Lydia Hearst-Shaw. "Dogs in Pocketbooks" is based on the "Mean Girls" star's colorful past, which has seen her in and out of jail and rehab over the last few years.
Socialite-turned-actress Hearst will take on the lead role of a young star making her way in Hollywood, while Collins will play a high-powered agent in the picture, which begins filming in February 2011. Collins tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "The script is a hoot - a satire on the crazed hysteria surrounding showbiz celebrities. I'm playing an aggressive, sexy, powerful woman. For a change."
Screenwriter Charles Casillo adds, "Lydia will play a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media...

Hollywoodnews.com: Lindsay Lohan’s movie career likely is over (a sad admission about an actress who once had such potential), so the closest thing we’ll get to seeing LiLo on the big screen is a high-profile spoof.
Heiress-turned-actress Lydia Hearst will play a version of Lohan in the upcoming comedy “Dogs in Pocketbooks,” according to the New York Post. The film’s screenwriter, Charles Casillo, admitted to the newspaper, “Lydia will play a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media — a role obviously based on Lindsay Lohan.”
It will be the 26-year-old heiress’s first role. But Casillo said that even though Hearst lacked acting experience, she was the right candidate for the job.
“She’s one of the few supermodels who can actually act,” Casillo said.

Lindsay Lohan is getting a biopic? Sort of. An upcoming Hollywood satire from grip-turned-screenwriter Charles Casillo is based on the life of Lohan, particularly the parts involving drugs and rehab. Titled 'Dogs in Pocketbooks,' the film has just cast its lead, according to the New York Post. Supermodel and publishing heiress (and, sorry ladies, girlfriend of Jeff Goldblum) Lydia Hearst will play the part of "a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media."
This will be the first major role for the 26-year-old daughter of Patricia Hearst and Bernard Shaw (and great-granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst). She's appeared on 'Gossip Girl' and in a few movies, but nothing this significant. Casillo told the tabloid that she's "one of the few supermodels who can actually act.

Lindsay Lohan's troubled life is about to be parodied on film. The comedy film "Dogs in Pocketbooks" will feature a character that leads a strikingly similar disastrous life as Lindsay.
Screenwriter Charles Casillo told the New York Post that the film will center on a "bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media."
But even though the role is obviously based on Lindsay, except for the "movie goddess" part, Casillo cleared that it is "in no way mean-spirited towards Lindsay. It's the kind of thing she has spoofed about herself in the past."
