What is the Ultimate News Quiz, you may ask? It's a U.K. event in which teams from different news organizations compete in a test on current affairs to raise money for the charity Action for Children. "Now this may be of no interest to you at home at...

Judge Rinder presented the weather on ITV on Wednesday (January 7).
The TV judge was a guest on Good Morning Britain when he was offered the chance to present the bulletin.
The presenter and criminal barrister, whose real name is Robert Rinder, exclaimed "that looks dreadful" when he saw the meteorological forecast for the day.
"It's going to be like living under an elephant – terribly grey," he told viewers, before saying to regular forecaster Laura Tobin: "I think I should stick to being a judge, don't you?"
In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Rinder said he was "happily surprised" at the positive reaction to ITV's Judge Rinder.
"I've only met people that are enthusiastic and positive, truly," he told us. "I haven't had a single negative reaction, and if they have, they've very kindly kept it to themselves."...

Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard became the latest celebrities to take on the Ice Bucket Challenge, tackling the freezing cold stunt on live breakfast TV this morning.
Reid and Shephard both got drenched after being nominated for the challenge by Good Morning Britain weather presenter Laura Tobin.
After having the icy water poured over them, Reid quickly nominated her co-presenter Sean Fletcher and This Morning's Ruth Langsford to take on the challenge next.
Langsford has agreed to take part in the task alongside her husband Eamonn Holmes, although he may be surprised when he finds out what his wife has signed him up for.
The Ice Bucket Challenge is a craze started in America that is raising money for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Als) Association.
Justin Bieber and Bill Gates are among the celebrities who have filmed themselves taking part in the challenge.

Will Ferrell's got some serious live TV news competition from Steve Carell! Following in the Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues star's footsteps, Steve made an appearance on Daybreak, a London morning TV show. But while Will (as Ron Burgundy) was seated in the anchor's chair, Steve (who plays Brick Tamland) hijacked his way onto the Dec. 11 weather forecast, taking meteorologist Laura Tobin by surprise! Steve even offered Laura some words of advice before he joined her in front of the green screen. "Clear your mind," he said, "and think of anything but the weather!" But after a few seconds of Laura talking about the fog, Steve couldn't help but intervene. "You're not...

"The Office" alum Steve Carell has been making the rounds promoting "Anchorman: The Legend Continues," and just like Will Ferrell, he's been doing it in a way to honor his news anchor character. Instead of hosting the news like Ron Burgundy, Carell took some time while visiting ITV's "Daybreak" to promote his role.
He took over for weather reporter Laura Tobin as he learned the different symbols used on a British weather map. "You're all over the place!" he ribs her. "This is the hardest job in the world!"
Carell's "Anchorman" character Brick Tamland wouldn't have been able to handle that much stimulation, despite being a weather reporter himself, so good on Carell for keeping it together. Too many loud noises, and Brick is pretty much useless. And put a lamp in front of him? Good luck trying to have a conversation.
"Anchorman: The Legend Continues" hits theaters on Dec.

Steve Carell surprised viewers and presenter Laura Tobin when he gatecrashed a weather update on ITV's Daybreak this morning (December 11).
The Anchorman actor walked in during the forecast and stood in front of the weather map before offering Tobin some advice.
We amuse ourselves with clips of other celebrities who've tried their hands at hosting the weather - from Prince Charles to Mark Wahlberg - below:
Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks could cheer any cold, grey morning with this dance-filled forecast. The actor was promoting Larry Crowne on a Spanish TV programme back in 2010, and when inevitably asked questions in Spanish which he didn't understand, he performed a little dance instead.
The next thing Hanks knew, he was presenting the weather forecast and dancing A Lot. We have no idea what's going on, and neither does Hanks.
Gerard Butler
Presenter Clare Nasir attempts to look as cool and breezy as the...
