This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live finale.
In some ways, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live marks the end of an era for AMC‘s long-running zombie franchise.
As fans saw in the Rick and Michonne spinoff’s sixth and final episode, the story of The Walking Dead‘s central lawman appears to have come to a satisfying conclusion (for the time being at least). Following many years in the figurative and literal wilderness, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) return home to Alexandria in “The Last Time” where Rick reunites with his daughter Judith (Cailey Fleming) and meets his son R.J. (Antony Azor). It’s the rarest of occasions for The Walking Dead: an honest-to-goodness happy ending.
Of course, The Walking Dead isn’t a big fan of endings, happy or otherwise. Though the flagship series concluded with its 11th season,...

[This story contains major spoilers for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live finale.]
And the ones who lived lived happily ever after. The end.
For now.
The six-episode limited series The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live has reached its conclusion, bringing the story of Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira’s Michonne to a close, if only for the time being. Heading into the reunion series, there was little doubt Rick and Michonne would join together again and kick a staggering amount of butt along the way. Would they survive said butt-kickings? Another question entirely. But the Ones Who Live finale answered that concern with a resounding victory for Rick and Michonne, who not only stop the villainous Crm from waging war against an innocent city, but manage to do it all with time to get back to their family in Alexandria.
“I think it was very clear we needed [to survive] the epic journey,...

Spoiler Alert: This article contains details of tonight’s The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Season 1 finale.
“There was always something about the connection of these two characters,” Danai Gurira says of The Walking Dead’s Michonne and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the reunion of the lovers over near-insurmountable odds and legions of Walkers in spinoff series The Ones Who Live. “The plan was always that we would complete this love story in a new form.”
It is fitting in many ways that Michonne and Rick’s love story comes full circle on a day of renewal like Easter Sunday. While there is no official word whether there will be more The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live or Michonne and Rick, certainly the saving of swaths of humanity and the reunion with their children Judith (Cailey Fleming) and R.J. (Antony Azor) at the end of tonight...

In Sunday’s finale of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, “Richonne” took the “im-” out of “mission: impossible.”
While Michonne destroyed Jadis’ Alexandria dossier, Rick received the much-ballyhooed Echelon Briefing from Beale. The gist of it? In 18 hours, the Crm intended to steal away a few bright kids from Portland, then annihilate the city as it established itself as the most powerful force on the planet.

This article contains spoilers for the series finale of The Walking Dead.
After getting a brief taste of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) impending reunion in the series finale of The Walking Dead last year, AMC has finally announced the title of their upcoming spinoff series. During AMC’s Walking Dead Universe Fan Watch Party at Sdcc, it was revealed that Rick and Michonne’s series would be called The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
This title is the perfect callback to The Walking Dead with the phrase “the ones who live” being a recurring theme throughout the series and an important part of Rick and Michonne’s relationship. Rick first utters these words in season 5, telling Deanna Monroe (Tovah Feldshuh) and the more passive residents of Alexandria “We know what needs to be done and we do it. We’re the ones who live.” Michonne...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 23, “Family.”] “Family” really has it out for the youngsters in the Walking Dead group, huh? Not one, but two major characters suffer life-threatening injuries in the episode, and both scenes just might bring a tear to your eye. Aside from that, the whole group heads back to the Commonwealth to confront its corrupt leader — but they’re unaware that as they return, a massive horde of walkers (some of them smart walkers) is also heading for the community. Yikes! Here’s how it happens. Jace Downs/AMC As the episode opens, the adults track down the rest of the kids. Judith (Cailey Fleming) maintains that she’d like to go with everyone else to build hope for the future, while Rj (Antony Azor), Hershel (Kien Michael Spiller), and Annie (Medina Senghore) stay behind to potentially set up some ...

Curious to know how Daryl and Michonne got those nasty X scars? You may want to tune into Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead.
Entitled “Scars,” it’s set to whisk viewers back before the time jump, after set photos revealed a pregnant Michonne wandering the zombie wasteland with only her katana for company. That’s exciting in and of itself, but AMC has now premiered another promo for The Walking Dead season 9×14 in which young Judith asks Daryl: “What would my dad do?”
She is, of course, referring to Rick Grimes, the Walking Dead stalwart who is presumed dead by many of his fellow survivors. Only we know that to be different, so it’ll be interesting to see if AMC’s “eye-opening secrets from the past” have something to do with Andrew Lincoln’s wayward hero.

Things are seriously beginning to heat up for AMC’s The Walking Dead.
With season 9B well underway, and Daryl Dixon in the middle of a full-blown standoff with Beta, the zombie drama is enjoying something of a ratings boon – albeit a small one – and next week’s installment will surely turn heads and raise eyebrows.
Why, you ask? Because it’ll offer us our first glimpse at a pregnant Michonne, who is seen wandering the wasteland with nothing but her katana for company. We know Danai Gurira’s series veteran fell pregnant during 9×03, “Warning Signs,” where she agreed to build a walking, talking legacy with the late Rick Grimes. It’s a poignant moment, and one that Gurira welcomed with open arms.
“When [showrunner] Angela [Kang] told me we were going to do that — first thing, I was stunned, because I never expected that to be where we would go,” said the actress.
