Spoiler Alert: This piece contains spoilers from the entire first season of Netflix’s new hit Korean drama “All of Us Are Dead,” which premiered Jan. 28.
The final scene of “All of Us Are Dead” could act either as a period on the end of a sentence or a semicolon that finishes one phrase while leaving room for another. After 12 episodes of frenzied running from zombies, the show’s exhausted, traumatized teen heroes stand on the roof of their ruined school. Months after the zombie outbreak first began, they had set out to find their classmate Nam-ra (Yi-Hyun Cho), whose zombie bite turned her into something different than the drooling monsters that spread throughout the city like a virus. They succeeded — but couldn’t know exactly what they’d find.
As played with precision by Yi-Hyun Cho, Nam-ra’s struggle to reconcile her emotional humanity with her new pulsing zombie...

The Korean Netflix original "All of Us Are Dead" has made quite a splash since its Jan. 28 premiere. Adapted from the webtoon "Now at Our School" by Joo Dong-geun, the K-horror series follows a group of high-school students struggling to dodge a zombie outbreak spreading like wildfire across the globe - and which originates from their school's very own science lab. Dubbed the "Jonas Virus," the contagion virus is created by a desperate father who, in a last-ditch effort to protect his timid son from ruthless bullies, puts his scientific knowledge to dangerous use - unwittingly wreaking havoc on the world in the process.
Consisting of 12 episodes, each clocking in at about 60 minutes, the first season of "All of Us Are Dead" takes its sweet time developing the central characters as they fight to survive - but the season finale is somewhat open-ended. If you're trying to decipher the ambiguous...

Director Lee Jae-kyoo looked mostly for unknowns when casting the students in All of Us Are Dead, hoping that a lack of familiarity would make the zombie drama feel more real for audiences watching at home. That being said, he grounded the expansive ensemble with some established K-drama actors viewers may recognize from other projects. Here’s where you may have seen some of the All of Us Are Dead‘s young cast members before…
Yoon Chan-young as Lee Cheong-san
One of the many scene-stealers in the All of Us Are Dead cast is Yoon Chan-young, who plays the extremely nimble Lee Cheong-san. Yoon is one of the young members of this cast who is already an established performer, having worked as a child actor since 2013. The now 20-year-old has an extensive filmography that ranges from 2019’s coming-of-age drama Everything and Nothing to 2014’s Pluto Squad, a show about child detectives.
