Cue all the hand flailing because a first glimpse of the "Divergent" movie is in, initiates!
Yes, it's super duper early — considering the fact that production, like, just started — but Summit Entertainment knows they've got a cash cart on track here and wants this train to roll into Tinseltown (by way of futuristic Chicago) at full speed.
So, the first pic from "Divergent" came in today via Entertainment Weekly, revealing the newest queen of Ya Shailene Woodley as our heroine, Tris.
The Veronica Roth faithful will recognize this pic as the knife-throwing scene from Tris' Dauntless faction initiation process, when her hunky trainer Four must test his aim with her posted up before the target as a test of bravery-slash-bit of punishment for bad behavior.
Apart from the fact that her hair may be a teensy weensy bit more Mary Jane red a la "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" than readers may have been expecting,...

As expected, Entertainment Weekly has doled out a coveted first look at Neil Burger's book-to-screen adaptation of Veronica Roth's "Divergent" today, and as many fans hoped, the sneak peek is indeed a still image from the film! The first still is of Shailene Woodley as Tris, with that strawberry-blonde hair hers, against the wall for the knife-throwing scene with Four (Theo James, unpictured). Summit Entertainment at Lionsgate announced today that a sneak peek of the currently in-production movie adaptation of Veronica Roth's best seller will be unveiled at noon Est tomorrow over at Entertainment Weekly! Rupert Bryan showed off footage from his upcoming horror film, The Hike, at a "winter memorabilia" show in the UK. I guess that is the British equivalent of Comic-Con. "In one way, it's a thriller that is very much about the chase and the kill, but on another level it is a story of realism," said Bryan.
