Was KISS' guitarist from April to November 1984, replacing Vinnie Vincent. St. John's premature departure from the band was due to his affliction with Reiter's syndrome, an arthritic condition that caused severe swelling in his arms and hands. He was replaced by Bruce Kulick.
He and his brother, Michael, a bassist, played in the band White Tiger in the mid- to late 1980s.
