Magoo, the Virginia rapper best known for his work in the late-Nineties and early-2000s with longtime friend/super-producer Timbaland, has died. He was 50.
The Office for the Chief Medical Examiner for Virginia’s Tidewater District confirmed his death to Rolling Stone, though noted a cause of death was still pending. His wife, Meco Barcliff, told The New York Times that the rapper (real name Melvin Barcliff) had not been feeling well for the past week; but, she added, he had no known health problems besides asthma.

After a plastic surgeon discovered a hole the size of a coin burned through Nicks’ nose from her cocaine use, the singer checked herself into the Betty Ford Center to overcome her addiction.
She was prescribed Klonopin to help her wean off cocaine. Nicks became dependent on the...

A vulnerable Lil Wayne and a teary-eyed Missy Elliott accepted the Recording Academy and Black Music Collective’s Dr. Dre Global Impact Award — which was renamed Thursday night as they also honored Dr. Dre.
Lil Wayne, who signed his record deal at 12 and turned 40 in September, won over the audience with a touching and authentic speech that ended the night.
“I want you all to know that I don’t get honored,” he said at the Hollywood Palladium as singers, rappers, producers, songwriters, label executives and other industry players cheered him on. “Where I’m from, New Orleans, you’re not supposed to do this.”
“I walked into my mama’s room when I was 14. She asked me for a kid because my dad was killed. And her son had just blown up and went on his first tour. When I came home she said, ‘Son, I can’t live in this house by myself.

San Francisco, Jan 31 (Ians) Twitter under Elon Musk is now working on a payments system that will support accepted currencies with crypto functionality embedded into it.
According to a report in The Financial Times, citing sources, the payments feature will support fiat currencies to start with.
Neither Musk nor Twitter confirmed the development.
“Mr Tweet” has apparently instructed developers to build the platform’s payments system.
Twitter has been teasing about bringing payments to its platform as Musk wants it to become “an everything app” like China’s WeChat.
“Buying Twitter is an accelerant to creating X, the everything app,” Musk said in October last year, as he took over the company after acquiring it for 44 billion.
“Twitter probably accelerates X by 3 to 5 years, but I could be wrong,” he added.
Later, images surfaced about “Twitter Coins” on social media.
Unconfirmed rumours also emerged that Twitter was working on a...

Roiland’s firing comes just weeks after it was reported that the former co-creator and star of the adult cartoon series was facing charges of domestic abuse in connection with a 2020 incident.
The Independent has contacted Roiland’s representatives for comment.
Along with the news, the network confirmed that the popular show would continue on without Roiland, who voiced the titular characters, grandfather Rick and grandson Morty.
