It’s the small details that get Jorja Smith high in her new single, “Little Things.” On the track, which fuses R&b with clubby rave music, she flirts relentlessly with the person who caught her eye. “Won’t you come with me and spend the night,” she sings in the chorus. “Just a little thing for you and I/And if it’s meant to be then that’s all right.” The track is streaming now, and a 7-inch single available via her online store features an extended mix and an instrumental.

CNN This Morning’s viewership ratings have continually declined since the show launched three months ago.
The new morning programme, featuring journalists Don Lemon, Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, kicked off on 1 November.
It premiered just one day after New Day, the show it was intended to replace, concluded on 31 October.
The show already got off to a rocky start, but according to viewing stats from Nielsen, last week CNN This Morning earned its lowest ratings since the show began, averaging 331,000 viewers.
Meanwhile, its competitors Fox & Friends and MSNBC’s Morning Joe drew nearly 1 million and 760,000 viewers apiece across the same time period.
When it first began, CNN This Morning averaged a total of 387,000 viewers. This was six per cent lower on a year-to-date perspective than the series premieres of New Day, which was led by Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota.
CNN’s new CEO Licht said at the time:...

It may be chilly outside, but it’s all heat over on ITV2 as Love Island is back on our screens once again.
The popular dating reality show is back for its ninth season, and its second-ever winter run, set in South Africa.
This year, Maya Jama has taken over hosting duties after Laura Whitmore’s departure at the end of season eight last summer.
But, it’s not all change – as usual, there are a selection of hopeful romantics who join the show throughout the season. Nicknamed “bombshells”, these later arrivals always bring an additional level of excitement to proceedings by mixing up the couple dynamics.
On day three (Wednesday 18 January), Essex boy David enters the villa alongside model Zara – but who is he?
What are David’s vital statistics?

The sound of the near future in film and TV has typically been characterised by dramatic synths that reflect the conflict between man and machine. Think of Vangelis’s atmospheric Blade Runner score with its memorable Yamaha Cs-80 synthesiser, or the sparse orchestral cues heard in more recent projects such as The Handmaid’s Tale. Now, a new series is about to take a very different route.
Jungle is the debut TV project from burgeoning production company Nothing Lost, best known for directing London rapper Big Tobz’s “Woke” music video, which got them on the shortlist for the Saatchi & Saatchi New Creators Class of 2019. Available on Amazon Prime Video now, the show follows a group of strangers whose lives are interconnected by a series of bizarre events.

Stormzy has wowed fans as he returned to music with a star-studded video for his first solo track in nearly three years.
On Friday (23 September), the rapper dropped his new single “Mel Made Me Do It”, featuring a music video clocking in at just under 11 minutes.
The video features cameos from a wide range of stars. In one scene, Usain Bolt is sat at home in his mansion, when he turns on the TV to see Jonathan Ross and Zeze Mills interviewing Louis Theroux, Dina Asher-Smith and Stormzy.
In another, Stormzy samples the much-memed Jose Mourinho comment: “I prefer not to speak. If I speak, I am in big trouble,” before standing in a mansion alongside the manager.
A monologue written by Wretch 32 is then delivered by I May Destroy You creator Michaela Coel, while a number of Black artists including Gabrielle, Little Simz, Dave and Headie One are seen...

Whilst it is not always necessarily true that you have to be an expert in a certain field in order to make a documentary about it, a passion for your subject matter certainly helps. Director Theo Williams, who has been working in and amongst the UK rap industry for the past 5 years, proves this with his newly released YouTube Original documentary Terms & Conditions: Deeper than Drill. His third documentary focusing on the UK rap industry, the film examines the previously underground and controversial genre of drill which is now a dominant force in the UK rap scene. Drill has found itself burdened with connections to gang crime and violence and has regularly been scapegoated in national headlines as being the cause of a lot of problems in inner city and deprived parts of the country. However, as Williams and his insightful documentary demonstrate, it has become a way for young...

Olivia Rodrigo is a very familiar name after her single "Drivers License" went pretty much viral - so much so that Saturday Night Live did a hilarious skit back in February that had even Rodrigo herself impressed.
Fast-forward to May, and Rodrigo's performed the chart-topping track at this year's Brit Awards ceremony, sounding absolutely incredible. She took to the stage in a flowing red gown, with a stripped-back performance of the soothing single that featured a real-life harp player. That's right, an actual harp. Fans of Rodrigo were incredibly proud of her performance, especially since she received a whole host of cheers from the audience, made up entirely of key workers.
Other performers of the night included the likes of Arlo Parks, Brit rising star Griff, The Weeknd, Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Headie One, and a special performance by Rag 'n' Bone Man and P!nk, featuring the NHS Greenwich choir.

On May 11, Arlo Parks took to the Brit Awards stage to perform a stripped-back rendition of her latest track, "Hope." The singer's performance began with a digital projection, featuring poetic words of hope and positivity on the screen, before Parks emerged in a metallic three-piece suit, surrounded by sunflowers. Parks' debut album, Collapsed in Sunbeams, released this year, and featured "Hope" as the latest single, following "Caroline," "Hurt," and "Eugene."
Other performers of the night included the likes of Dua Lipa, Brit rising star Griff, The Weeknd, Coldplay, Olivia Rodrigo, Headie One, and a special performance of "It's A Sin" by Olly Alexander and Sir Elton John, plus a performance from Rag 'n' Bone Man and P!Nk, featuring the NHS Greenwich choir.

Obviously, the summer of 2020 is not an ordinary season, and Spotify’s predictions for the Song of the Summer reflect that. There are songs like DaBaby’s “Rockstar” (feat. Roddy Ricch), Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” (feat. Beyoncé), “Tkn” by Rosalia (feat. Travis Scott) and “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles, which was released in 2019 but continues to stream in high numbers.
But there are also many songs focused on supporting the Black community — some that dropped in the past few days, like Beyonce’s “Black Parade,” H.E.R.’s “I Can’t Breathe” and Lil Baby’s “The Bigger Picture,” and some that are a couple or a few years old, like “This Is America” by Childish Gambino and “Alright” by Kendrick Lamar.
In no particular order, here is Spotify’s list of predictions for Songs of the Summer 2020, which you can stream now in this playlist:
• “Rockstar” by DaBaby, feat.

Jamie xx has released the one-take visual for his latest club track, “Idontknow.” The video stars Belfast dancer and choreographer Oona Doherty, who also co-directed the clip with Luca Truffarelli.
Filmed in Belfast in March 2020 — the night before Northern Ireland went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic — the visual sees Doherty performing an anxious dance through the dark city streets. Midway through the clip, she looks down at her phone and has a spiraling response to what she sees on the screen. The video ends with Doherty encountering a friend and embracing.

Stormzy does not suffer fools gladly in his new video for “Audacity” featuring Headie One. The song will appear on Stormzy’s upcoming Heavy is the Head album, which is due on Friday.

Stormzy has released a new single from his upcoming album Heavy Is the Head, this one featuring Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy. The track, “Own It,” is Stormzy and Sheeran’s second collaboration this year, following “Take Me Back To London.” (Stormzy was also featured on a remix of “Shape of You.”)
