Kai Cenat is on a roll. After completing a marathon playthrough of the notoriously difficult video game Elden Ring, Cenat kept his hot streak going when he drew 400,000 viewers for a collab with actor and comedian Kevin Hart.
Hart teased his appearance on Cenat’s stream one month before the broadcast’s go-live date. He promised “big things” for the collab, and he did not disappoint Cenat’s 10.7 million Twitch followers. During a broadcast that lasted nearly four hours, Hart and Cenat presented comedic “gifts” and matched each other’s high-key energy. The affinity between the two entertainers comes as no surprise; Cenat, who has serious Hollywood ambitions, has been described as a Kevin Hart for the internet age.
Hart is not the first celebrity to appear alongside Cenat on his popular Twitch channel, and the streaming star is making sure to provide plenty more entertaining broadcasts for his ever-growing audience.

Welcome to Deadline’s International Disruptors, a feature where we shine a spotlight on key executives and companies outside of the U.S. who are shaking up the offshore marketplace. This week, we’re talking to Jordan Schwarzenberger, one of the founders of Arcade Media, a London-based management company that manages YouTube megastars the Sidemen. Schwarzenberger has used skills honed as an agent to help the group of creators move to new levels.
The Sidemen are, in their words, “a group of friends with a few videos online.” Those “few” videos have generated six billion views on YouTube, and spawned chicken shops, a vodka brand, hotel projects, clothes, and a film telling the story of how a group of friends who started out playing video games together became the biggest crew of digital creators in Europe. Their management company is Arcade Media, founded by Jordan Schwarzenberger, Aaron O’Neill and Sam Unwins.

Jimmy Donaldson is getting more shine from traditional media. Nearly two years after he graced the cover of Rolling Stone‘s first Creator Issue, the man known as MrBeast has hit the front page of another magazine: Time. The 101-year-old news publication featured Donaldson in a story about his “swift rise” on YouTube and his status as “the most-watched person in the world.”
The 4,500-word profile of Donaldson includes all of the typical talking points that come up in long-form explorations of the MrBeast empire. Time traced the creator’s roots in North Carolina, chronicled his upending of the YouTube ecosystem, and details his struggles to maintain profitability in an ever-changing industry.
Donaldson told Time that he envisions a future in which he won’t have to rely on sponsors the way he does now. “I know a video is gonna get 200 million views,” he said. “And I sell that video to a different company,...

In 2023, we began publishing weekly recaps of the most-watched sponsored videos on YouTube. After all, marketers spent nearly $1 billion on YouTube campaigns last year, and that number is projected to rise even higher.
We compiled our rankings using data from our partners at Gospel Stats. Some of our findings were obvious and to be expected:
MrBeast is the most popular creator on YouTube. Digital learning platforms like to partner with educational channels like Veritasium and Kurzgesagt. Vpn companies like to partner with…pretty much everyone.
We also drew some insights that felt new and noteworthy. Influencer marketing may not be as novel as it once was, but the industry is still subject to constant change, especially after experiencing a boom during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The short-form meta is still a dominant force in our U.S. Top 50, but a few channels that focus primarily on long-form content are hanging around near the top of the chart. MrBeast, the massively popular YouTube creator known for big-money giveaways and outlandish stunts, is nearing a deal for a reality-competition show with Amazon’s Prime Video, Variety has confirmed.
Details of the show, including its title, aren’t known. But the idea is that a MrBeast-hosted show for Prime Video would follow the format of his viral YouTube challenges, including doling out large cash prizes. To date, MrBeast’s most-viewed video on YouTube is his 2021 reenactment of “Squid Game,” featuring a series of elimination challenges re-created from the hit Netflix show — which awarded one winner $446,000.
Amazon declined to comment. Reps for MrBeast did not respond to requests for comment. MrBeast’s negotiations with Prime Video were first reported by Puck, which cited a source as pegging the deal at potentially near $100 million. Sources familiar with the talks cautioned that a deal has not yet been officially inked at this point.

Amazon Studios is getting into business with YouTube personality MrBeast.
The 25-year-old comedian, né Jimmy Donaldson, who has over 230M subscribers on the Google-owned platform, is nearing a deal with the streamer for an unscripted competition series.
Details about the series are still under wraps and Amazon declined comment.
MrBeast is the most-subscribed individual and second-most subscribed account overall on YouTube. His social media career began when he first posted on the platform at 13, though he rose to fame in 2017 when a video of MrBeast counting to 100,000 went viral.
He also has a number of other business interests including food company Feastables, which launched his own line of chocolate bars and launched a Fast channel on Roku last year.
He was also a judge on Fox’s Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars last May.
The news was first reported by Puck.

MrBeast hasn’t committed to regular uploads on X, but he’s at least curious about it. On the platform formerly known as Twitter, top creator Jimmy Donaldson shared an old video to test the earnings potential of Elon Musk‘s revenue sharing program.
Donaldson chose a car-themed video as his guinea pig for X monetization. The Samsung-sponsored hit the MrBeast YouTube channel last September, and it has since pulled in more than 211 million views. Obviously, the video’s X traffic won’t be nearly as high, so I’d imagine Donaldson is testing his earnings rate rather than his viewership potential.
“I’m curious how much ad revenue a video on X would make so I’m reuploading this to test it,” Donaldson wrote in a tweet. “Will share ad rev next week.”

Two weeks into the new year, we’ve had two different #1 finishers in the Global Top 50. This week’s top YouTube channel is returning to the #1 spot after hovering close to the top five for much of last year.

YouTube’s top trend of the year features long-necked heads that pop out of toilets. That’s the best description I can offer for Skibidi Toilet, which headlined 2023’s “Year On YouTube” recap.
Skibidi Toilet took YouTube and TikTok by storm over the summer, pulling in billions of views in the process. “2023’s Trending Topics in the US reflect fandom’s increasingly important role in transforming cultural moments into fully immersive phenomena that play out across Shorts, longform, livestreams, and podcasts,” reads YouTube’s recap. “From original series like Skibidi Toilet to the release of Barbie, fans came to YouTube to put their personal spins on memes, movies, and more.”
The Year On YouTube blog post continues an annual YouTube tradition. Each December, the leading video site compiles a list of the videos, creators, trends, and songs that defined its culture during the previous 12 months. In recent years, MrBeast — a.
