The realism displayed in Davis Cone's signature brand of art takes us back to the days when Art Deco theaters were the centerpieces of Main Street. His attention to detail is striking; his love for these landmarks resonates in each of his acrylics and watercolors.
Painting was a family tradition for Cone — both of his maternal grandparents were artists and were instrumental in guiding their talented grandson toward a career that has spanned more than three decades.
Not surprisingly, Cone's most vivid childhood memories are of going to the movies in his birthplace of Augusta, Ga.
