Rupert Evans and Ewan Horrocks will lead the cast of a new four-part limited series, “Truth & Conviction,” to be distributed by “Sound of Freedom” producer Angel Studios. Based on a true story, the series follows Helmuth Hübener, a teenager who led a resistance group with his two friends during World War II in Hamburg, Germany.
Evans will play Erwin Mussener, the SS Agent. He is intent on hunting down Helmuth, a young resistance fighter, who will be played by Horrocks. Ferdinand McKay and Daf Thomas also join the cast as Helmuth’s friends and fellow resisters Karl Schnibbe and Rudi Wobbe.
Horrocks has appeared in Netflix’s British drama series “The Last Kingdom,” which ran from 2015 until 2022. Evans has portrayed Malcom in horror film “The Boy,” and appeared in Amazon Prime Video’s “The Man in the High Castle,” which explores what the world might look like had the...

President Donald Trump started off the Sunday morning Twitter attack quietly, touting his interview appearance with Chris Wallace on Fox. Twice.
The Commander-in-Tweet initially sent out a blast as a heads-up. He later dialed in the time slots for those anxiously awaiting word and not near a handy reference. The segment will air twice today, allowing Twitter Trump followers no excuses for missing the interview.
Later, the President got in a little dig at one of his main Democratic rivals, Adam Schiff, and found time to talk about the “caravan” that is mounting at the border.
Interestingly, Wallace went after the President for his stances on the media.
The “Fox News Sunday” host chided Trump for calling the media “the enemy of the American people.”
“Barack Obama whined about Fox News all the time but he never said we were the enemy of the people,” Wallace said.
Trump wouldn’t back down.

Fox News’ Chris Wallace will interview President Donald Trump this Sunday on Fox News Sunday. The cable news network says the “wide-ranging” interview will include questions about CNN’s lawsuit against the White House after Trump pulled the credentials of Jim Acosta.
A DC District Court judge is set to rule Thursday afternoon whether to compel the White House to temporarily re-instate Acosta’s White House credentials as CNN’s lawsuit makes its way through the court.
Fox News on Wednesday came out in support of CNN’s lawsuit. In so doing, it joined about a dozen other media outlets announcing intent to file friend-of-the-court briefs to support CNN and its White House correspondent. “Secret Service passes for working White House journalists should never be weaponized,” Fox News chief Jay Wallace said in a statement. “While we don’t condone the growing antagonistic tone by both the President and the press at recent media avails,...

Last week was not good for President Donald Trump, Trevor Noah informed The Daily Show viewers.
It started Wednesday “when Trump replaced his House Elf, Jeff Sessions, with with Republican Vin Diesel,” aka Matt Whitaker, Noah explained Monday. Reaction was so negative, Trump began insisting he did not know Whitaker, despite having told Fox News he knows him, calling him a great guy.
“Sometimes Trump lies so hard he gives my brain whiplash,” Noah confided.
Trump also got trashed for his tweets about the wildfires in California, blaming “forest management” and threatening to pull federal payments to the state.
But Potus had the chance to put all that behind him in France over the weekend. All he had to do was show up at a ceremony to commemorate Armistice Day, at an American cemetery. Trump instead skipped the event, blaming the rain which, White House said, prevented his helicopter from flying there.

Here’s a thought to make January more bearable: February is worse. Heh!
Yikes. We’re in dire need of comedy this month, and here are 10 gay tweets (and an extra one from me) designed to make this month lovable. I also tacked on a tweet from Patton Oswalt about Neneh Cherry that sent me into Drugstore Cowboy-type convulsions.
1. Richard Lawson jokes by not joking at all.
Liz Cheney is dropping out of the race to spend less time with her family.

2. Chris Schleicher values the least important meal of the day.
Why do people have kids? Because they got bored of going to brunch?
— Chris Schleicher (@cschleichsrun) January 7, 2014
3. Matt Whitaker needs a moment.
Just found out Robin Roberts has been cheating on me for ten years.

4. Sean Brewster is the hero of January.

Well it’s that time again, time for another installment of Streaming for Your Pleasure. With Memorial Day weekend upon us America is about to officially start the summer. Barbeques, beers, and beaches will surely take up much of our time this weekend, however let us not forget the purpose behind this day as we celebrate the glory that is a three day weekend. In all seriousness it is a time to honor our Veterans and current soldiers for the remarkable sacrifices they make. No matter what political stance you may take I feel that is one thing we can all get behind. With that in mind I dedicated this installment to all things military as I look at military centric films currently available on Netflix Streaming.

We have some new music for you, ShockYa readers that will take you back to the days where punk music was organic and instrumentally clutter free. These reawakening tunes come from the alternative rock band, Acidic. The Los Angeles band, which consists of lead singer and guitarist, Michael Gossard, bassist, Ted Dubrawski and drummer, Matt Whitaker, released their third full-length album, “Chronic Satisfaction”, on September 20th, 2011. The trio teamed up with producer John Ryan, who produced albums for Santana, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Styx. “Chronic Satisfaction” showcases the difference between punk bands that know how to express their sound intelligently and those that choose to jam out and hope for...
