He was nominated for a 2003 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for
Outstanding Achievement in Dance of 2002 for his choreography of the
Royal Ballet's Tryst at the Royal Opera House and New York City
Ballet's Polyphone at the Sadler Wells Theatre.
He was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2016 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to promoting British classical and theatrical dance. He is an international choreographer of contemporary ballet.
