There will be no third season for Insatiable. Netflix has canceled the dark, twisted revenge comedy starring Debby Ryan, Dallas Roberts, and Alyssa Milano after two seasons. Milano revealed the cancellation decision to a fan on Twitter earlier this month. Today, she posted an update, thanking fans.
This is sadly true. We had the most fun creating this show. I want to thank the fans who gave us a shot and kept coming back for more. Season 1 & 2 are still streaming. P.S. Any thoughts on who was Coralee’s baby daddy? I guess we will never know.

Turns out Netflix’s appetite for “Insatiable” wasn’t entirely, well, insatiable.
The dark comedy, which faced considerable backlash and was accused of promoting fat shaming before it even premiered, has been canceled by Netflix after two seasons.
“Insatiable” followed Patty (Debby Ryan), who for years has been bullied, ignored, and underestimated by those around her because of her weight. But now that she finds herself suddenly thin, Patty is out for payback against anyone who has ever made her feel bad about herself.
In addition to Ryan, the series starred Dallas Roberts, Alyssa Milano, Christopher Gorham, Erinn Westbrook, Michael Provost, Kimmy Shields, Irene Choi, and Sarah Colonna. Lauren Gussis created the series and served as executive producer alongside Ryan Seacrest, Nina Wass, Andrea Shay, Todd Hoffman, and Dennis Kim. CBS Television Studios produced the show.
Milano appeared to confirm the news in a tweet from Feb. 4.

ABC has added a second single camera pilot to its development slate.
The network has issued a pilot order for “Work Wife,” a comedy inspired by the real-life partnerships of producers Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, and writers Casey Johnson and David Windsor.
The prospective series tells the story of a platonic male-female team whose professional success, personal friendship and ability to share deodorant makes their lives work. Set in the world of real estate, Dani and Scott have taken the leap to start their own team. Now feeling the stress of being the boss, they have to rely on the yin-yang of their dynamic more than ever to keep their professional and personal lives afloat.
ABC began developing the project, which hails from ABC Studios, back in October 2018 with a put pilot order. Back then, “Work Wife” was a multi-cam which Michael Ian Black was slated to write, but...

Netflix has ordered a second season of its series Insatiable, from creator Lauren Gussis and CBS TV Studios. The dark, twisted revenge comedy starring Debby Ryan, Dallas Roberts, and Alyssa Milano, will return in 2019.
Like Netflix’s drama series 13 Reasons Why, Insatiable has attracted both strong viewership — judging by available streaming data — and controversy. 13 Reasons Why, which had been criticized for its depiction of teen suicide, bullying, drunk driving and rape, was recently renewed for a third season. Similarly, Insatiable, which was accused of “body-shaming,” has landed a second season.

As part of the pact, Ryan Seacrest Productions, under scripted programming executive VP Nina Wass, will develop projects for broadcast and cable as well as streaming services. When it comes to unscripted fare, Rsp will remain independent and thus able to sell across all networks. “Under Nina Wass’ leadership, our scripted team has made great strides in the last two years. CBS Television Studios and David Stapf have a tremendous track record in developing ground-breaking material, and we hope

Veteran unscripted executive and producer Eugene Young has joined Ryan Seacrest Prods. as president. He succeeds longtime CEO Adam Sher, who stepped down in November. Young starts in March, reporting to Rsp chairman Ryan Seacrest on creative matters and to COO/CFO Jeff Refold on business and financial matters. Recently appointed Evp Unscripted Programming Izzie Pick Ashcroft will report to Young. Evp Scripted Programming Nina Wass will work closely with Young, and continue to report to Seacrest. “Eugene’s an extremely talented and accomplished television executive, as well as an experienced producer, with a keen understanding of the business — not just where it’s been, or even where we are, but most important, where it’s all going,” said Seacrest. Young called the appointment “the biggest opportunity of my career.” For the past eight months, Young served as co-managing director of Hell’s Kitchen producer A. Smith & Co. Before that,...

In one of the highest-profile packages this year, NBC has given a 13-episode straight-to-series order to Shades Of Blue, a drama toplined by Jennifer Lopez, which she will executive produce with her American Idol co-star Ryan Seacrest. Written by Adi Hasak (From Paris with Love), the project will begin working on scripts in June with an eye toward a 2015 production start and will be for the 2015-16 season, not the one that starts in September. Shades of Blue is a complex police series that centers on Harlee McCord (Lopez), a single mother and detective recruited to work undercover for the FBI’s anti-corruption task force. Part of a close-knit unit known for its conviction record, Harlee has become compromised by her colleagues — all of whom also pitch in to help her raise her daughter — and finds herself faced with the moral dilemma of working against her cop brothers in order to redeem herself.

The revolving door at Ryan Seacrest Prods. continues with a slew of comings and goings in the past year. The latest development is the exit of CEO Adam Sher, who had been with the company since 2008. According to sources close to the company, Sher he will retain his equity stake. In the past year, the company, which is yet to score a major hit beyond the Keeping Up With The Kardashians franchise, also parted ways with Fernando J. Hernandez, Evp Development and Production, who took a job at Universal TV, and Svp Development and Current Unscripted Programming Heather Schuster. On the coming side, Rsp brought in veteran scripted executive Nina Wass and Jason Sarlanis as Svp Unscripted Development, with Izzie Pick Ashcroft set to join early next year when Rsp is expected to name a new president.

At ABC‘s upfront, there were a few things that the network wanted to make sure you knew. 1) They are really impressed with the idea that people are going to watch Rebel Wilson do just about anything, and 2) There isn’t anything they’re happier about than bringing you more episodes of television created by Shonda Rhimes.
On these notes, the network would love for you to know that more Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal are coming your way. These, ABC would like to impress upon you (as advertisers) are really good shows. Because… hellllooo… so many people watch them that we’re bringing them back. But wait, don’t think that you’re as excited as you can get yet, because if those are your favorite shows, then we have a new one for you to fall in love with, Betrayal.
Also on the agenda, and actually looking like they might be interesting,...

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the third announced earlier today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on ABC.
The network is changing up some of its serialized dramas - removing random repeats in favor of two "uninterrupted runs" of twelve episodes each (one in the fall, one in the spring) for shows like "Once Upon A Time," "Grey’s Anatomy," "Scandal" and "Revenge". The large gaps between the two half-seasons will be bridged by "limited series" designed around only 12-13 episode seasons.
Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't be seen including the high-profile "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" rip-off "Gothica", McG's rip-off of Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet" entitled "Westside", the series based on Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain ride, the Annie Potts-led "Murder in Manhattan" about...
