Chris Vogt(I)
- Art Department
Chris Vogt has earned his lively hood by juggling at a multitude of
events. Chris began his professional career as a juggler at the age of
eleven. He has streetperformed at notable events such as Milwaukee's
Summerfest, Milwaukee's Irish Fest, and Wauwatosa's 4th of July and St.
Patrick's Day Parades. Chris has been featured onstage at Duncan Hall's
Magical Dessert show and at Monona Terrace for Wisconsin's Annual
Celebrating Youth! Showcase. Chris also competed globally at the
International Juggler's Association in Buffalo, New York.
Growing up in Wisconsin, Chris was first enamored with juggling as a child when his parents randomly started juggling in the ball pit at Chuck E. Cheese. Ever since that day, Chris practices his craft, continually pushing his ever-evolving skills to separate himself from other jugglers
After becoming a well known stage and street performer, Chris looked to the media to display his versatility as an entertainer. He has been seen on Big Ten Network's Friday Night Tailgate, CBS 58 News in Milwaukee, and Wisconsin Public Television's Into The Book student reading series. In addition to his juggling skills, Chris recently was cast in the role as Guido in Purdue University's theatrical play Scapino! Chris takes great pride in his perfectionism, sharpness, humbleness, dexterousness, adaptiveness, and peak energy level, all of which are characteristics that he brings to every performance.
Chris will graduate from Purdue University in 2011, where he is majoring in Aeronautical Engineering Technology and minoring in Theatre. He has joined several organizations at Purdue including the Break Dancing Club, Gymnastics' Club, and Juggling Club. Each organization has helped him grow as an artist and expanded his physical entertainment repertoire.
When not performing, Chris gives back to the sport by teaching people of all ages to juggle and instill passion for the art form.
