Directed by Rodman Flender – who also directed Leprechaun 2 and happens to be the uncle of Dune star Timothée Chalamet – from a screenplay by Terri Hughes and Ron Milbauer, Idle Hands has the following synopsis: When slacker teen Anton Tobias has his right hand possessed by a demonic force, he finds that his life gets a lot more interesting. While Anton himself is an amiable guy, his hand proves to be an appendage of death, killing his two best buddies, Pnub and Mick, who return to life as wisecracking zombies. In addition to murdering those closest to him, Anton’s evil hand significantly hinders his chances with lovely neighbor Molly.

I wish I could say 1998's "Meet The Deedles" was an underrated Disney movie but I can't. In truth, it's probably just about right-rated. Critics wasted no time laying into this frankly bizarre attempt at emulating the buddy comedy magic of such classics as "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" and "Dumb and Dumber" at a time when that goofball subgenre was quite clearly on its last legs. It's one of those movies where you would love to have been in the pitch meeting just to see how it was explained and what actually made Disney greenlight it.
The company had acquired Dic Entertainment as part of its 1996 Capital Cities/ABC deal and was seemingly happy for Dic's newly-created live-action department to use Disney's distribution power to pump "Meet The Deedles" out into the world — like some noxious pollutant contributing to the overall degradation of the cultural atmosphere. I know that's a bit harsh,...

“Monster in the Closet” (1986)
One of Walker’s earliest roles was the 1986 horror flick “Monster in the Closet.” He played young “Professor” Bennett, the son of a college professor who teams up with another teacher and a local reporter to uncover the motive behind several murders.
“Tammy and the T-Rex” (1994)
Walker got prehistoric in “Tammy and the T-Rex,” directed by Stewart Raffill — he plays a boy named Michael whose brain is implanted into the body of a Tyrannosaurus and wreaks havoc on the town in search of his sweetheart, Tammy.
“Meet the Deedles” (1998)
Surf’s up, dude! Walker gave life to Phil Deedle, a surfer turned park ranger alongside Steve Van Wormer, who plays his brother, Stew Deedle. The film is a lighthearted one, complete with an ample helping of flatulence jokes.

Disney has a long and varied history of live-action films. This is a look at some of the most bizarre you would not have expected to have been produced by the Walt Disney Company.
When you think of Disney movies, what comes to mind are beloved tales meant to entertain both adults and children. They can be epic fairytales brought to life, artistic animated films full of beloved characters, or fun-loving adventure films. In the live-action realm, Disney has made a habit of adapting real-life stories from American history to the big screen, or else making films which feature animals, wacky professors, or flying nannies.
The films this article covers are not like this at all. They are Disney live-action movies, but they defy our expectations of what a Disney live-action movie should be. Some of them are ambitious, pushing outside the envelope, and should be applauded. Others are hairbrained...

In this week's column, we honor the late Paul Walker. I considered doing that movie where he was reincarnated as an animatronic dinosaur with Denise Richards, but decided to go with this one. Meet the Deedles (1998) Director: Steve Boyum Stars: Paul Walker, Steve Van Wormer, Dennis Hopper Two "surf bum" brothers from Hawaii mistakenly become rangers at Yellowstone National Park and must save famous geyser Old Faithful from being stolen by Dennis Hopper and...
