- About Teenage Exorcist (1991), a movie she co-wrote and starred in: "I go from a demure co-ed to a whip-cracking dominatrix from hell. There are savage, scale-eyed zombies, virgin sacrifices and demonic possessions and, when I turn into a gorgeous, va-voom woman, I say the line I've always wanted to say, 'Behold the new queen of hell!" And I say it with relish".
- "I'm convinced only two planetary species actually have 'souls' -- humans and cetaceans (whales & dolphins).
- I'm a healthy, red-blooded American girl with no particular hangups like shyness. I don't seek out nude work, but it's there, face it, and if you want to work as an actress in Hollywood it helps to be able to roll with it. I'm comfortable enough working sans clothing, after my fine past experiences with some of the most outstanding glamor photographers in the world. In my perspective, a beautiful female body is a precious gift ... to hide it away shows a lack of proper appreciation. Years from now, when I look back on the photographs and movies I did as a lovely young woman, I know I'll be glad I had the good sense to take advantage of my assets and opportunities instead of wasting them.
- A fan once told me, "Brinke, you're just a big a nerd as the rest of us. You're just better looking."
- Nudity never really bothered me. I came to expect it early on. It's a little bit annoying when the only reason that you're hired is to be the girl who will take her clothes off. If it is incorporated into a good acting part, I don't really mind doing it. I like my body; I'm comfortable with it. Apparently, other people like looking at it, too. No one ever says, "Hey, put your clothes back on."
- I've probably done more shower scenes than any actress in history. I've done so many that I'm probably the cleanest actress in Hollywood.
- In Dark Romances Vol. 1 (1990), I'm strapped to a torture device, like a rack. To show my agony, they have close-ups of my face, close-ups of my hands clenching and unclenching and also close-ups of my feet pointing and unpointing as I'm stretched on the the rack. I had to admit when I saw that footage that even my feet have talent!
- My aim isn't to become a great Shakespearean actor. I simply want to have steady work and have some fun along the way. I don't take it all that seriously, which is probably why I have fun playing the sexy, bad girl roles.
- The 1980s was a very special decade, and it truly made my career what it is today. At that time, the low-budget, independent horror films we were making were totally unique.
- Most of the movies that I've done have nudity. I almost always get to take my top off or do a shower scene. One of the disappointing things about my role in Acting on Impulse (1993) being such a small role is there was no opportunity for me to take my clothes off.
- Kissing other women was uncomfortable at first, but, you know, it was actually OK. My first shoot with Penthouse was girl-girl and I wanted to strangle my co-star. She thought she was the star of the layout and kept trying to obscure my face. I was already a big Edy Williams fan before we did Bad Girls from Mars (1990) so I was thrilled to kiss her. Eat your hearts out, guys.
Roots of Evil (1992) didn't make any sense at all. It is one of my least favorite movies. They never even gave us a completed script. However, my scene in bed with Deanna Lund was a real hoot and I had fun kissing her, so I'm glad I did the movie.
I've done a few erotic vignettes for the Playboy channel, including a few girl-girl things, that probably turned me on as much as my viewers. - Men adore, indulge and honor my body. They absolutely treasure me and I give myself entirely. I'm hooked by their fascination. I voyeuristically watched my own reflection strip in the mirror as I practiced for the role. I no longer had to pretend to be a stripper. I was the real thing now. For years, I had dreamed of going into a strip club on amateur night just wanting to get up there and dance. It's always been a secret fantasy.
- Debbie Rochon is drop-dead gorgeous, but she's smart and a total sweetheart, too. If I were a guy, I would undoubtedly fall at her feet and gibber something really stupid.
- I'd say there were only three original Scream Queens in the 1980's: me, Linnea Quigley and Michelle Bauer.
- [on having a masters in marine biology] I'm the only scientist-actress-writer-producer in Hollywood.
- [on performing onscreen nude the first time not being an issue] I used to go to a nude beach in San Diego, so nudity has never been an issue for me. I also did a lot of glamour modeling when I first came to Los Angeles. I've been featured in Playboy and Penthouse.
- [not getting breast implants] I think this had absolutely no effect on my career. If I had gotten breast implants, I would probably be a stripper right now. As the '90s interpretation of B-movies faded-out, that's what all the starlets did - they became strippers. Actually, they were returning to their roots: strippers had usually been cast in T&A roles.
- [credit for becoming a Scream Queen] Around 1987, two fabulous gentlemen were responsible for creating me as a popular "Scream Queen": Fred Olen Ray and David De Couteau. The vast bulk of my horror movie work was produced and directed by these prolific independent filmmakers, and I owe them a great debt of gratitude.
- [being cast in Slumber Party Massacre (1982)] It was my first big speaking role, plus the first time I ever screamed and then died horribly on film. Prior, I'd never regarded myself as a legitimate actress. It was just a lark, after all, until I could find a decent scientist job. I figured I'd just keep doing it until somebody yelled, "Hey, you! You're not a real actress! Get outta here!" But nobody ever did. Later, as I watched my exciting big-screen death throes in "SPM", I suspected I could become a very good actress ... and now I suddenly wanted it!
- [modern horror remakes] Hollywood is remaking so many of those old classics - like Last House on the Left, Friday the 13th, Halloween, The Hills Have Eyes, and so on. It's as if they're terrified of having a new idea, and so they have to bank on "re-imaginings" of the original stuff. My advice is to go rent the old videos. They're so much fun.
- [TV roles] I'd love to be a series-regular on a popular TV show for the obvious perks (career longevity and financial reward), but I don't get offered those sorts of auditions. I fell into the indie horror scene right at the start of my career and pretty much have stayed there for four decades.
