Scott Stambler spent thirty-three years in film music. He has 64 film
credits, mostly for music editing. He has supervised music on such
films as "When Harry Met Sally." He also had a brief career as a
composer on Oscar winner Brian Helgeland's director's cut of "Payback
Straight Up." He won the Golden Reel award as supervising music editor
on Michael Jackson's "This Is It." Scott has a long-time working
relationship with Rob Reiner, and has worked with Michael Mann, Ben
Stiller, Jee-Woon Kim, and Robert Zemeckis.
Scott has recently stepped out of retirement to become an adjunct
professor at Chapman College where he hopes to inspire students, and
himself, with a one of a kind curriculum about the temp-music process.
He is also the new head of music at Chapman Filmed Entertainment, the
micro-budget film program under the auspices of Dodge College. Scott
has two lovely teenage daughters, an ex-wife, and a golden retriever.
Otis carries a note from Scott's shrink so he can stay at hotels and
other establishments who don't see eye to eye about a dog's being a
best friend.
