Paris Jackson is no stranger to Fashion Month. Today, the 25-year-old visited Paris in style to support the Stella McCartney Womenswear Fall/Winter 2024-25 presentation. What surprised many fans most wasn’t the 5-foot-10 model’s outfit choice but who sat with her pre-show.

Before the runway presentation, Paris Jackson squeezed between Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr for photos. Longtime fans of Stella McCartney — Stella is Paul’s daughter, after all — the Beatles legends looked posh in black suits and trendy sunglasses.
Starr gave a peace sign as Jackson smized for cameras. McCartney was notably stoic. This caused some fans to wonder about the 81-year-old’s longtime beef with the late...

Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum are engaged. Amid a sea of celebrity breakups in recent months, multiple sources confirmed the couple's happy news with People on Oct. 30. The news comes just two days after the pair were spotted leaving a Halloween party, during which Kravitz seemingly showed off her engagement ring.
On the night in question, Kravitz and Tatum dressed up as Rosemary Woodhouse and her baby, respectively, from the 1968 horror movie "Rosemary's Baby." While photos of the couple's Halloween costume went viral, many fans were too distracted by Tatum's baby bonnet and the knife prop in Kravitz's hand to notice the massive diamond engagement ring. Upon closer inspection of her right ring finger, however, she seems to be making no attempt to cover up the ring - a subtle but sweet engagement announcement.

The opening track on "Tender," Zzzahara's sophomore solo album, feels like the doo-wop-influenced surf pop of the '50s and '60s. Then two minutes in, "Dust" delivers the album's first big moment, a serrated guitar solo that rips through the song's old-old-days motif and harkens to the lick that powers the grabby 1974 Wings hit "Let Me Roll It."
It's unexpected, but it's not surprising for fans of the Angeleno's first effort, 2022's "Liminal Spaces." They've again pulled distinct threads from disparate brands of rock and pop from across generations and laced them together for a sparkly, rough-edged, varied collection.
"I would describe the sound of Zzzahara as big and melodic," the singer, guitarist, and songwriter told Sound of Life in February. "I think the sound sort of morphed naturally into a more mature sound with lots of thought behind it. Honestly, it's like a medley of different rock genres.

Zach Bryan has ended his crusade against Ticketmaster — for now, at least. After sidestepping the ticket platform entirely for his 2023 North American run, the country superstar has announced he will opt back in for next year’s “The Quittin Time Tour.”
“Everyone complained about Axs last year. Using all ticketing sites this year,” Bryan wrote in a social media statement, before alluding to the title of his 2022 live album, All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster. “All my homies still do hate Ticketmaster but hard to realize one guy can’t change the whole system. It is intentionally broken and I’ll continue to feel absolutely horrible about the cost of tickets in an unfair market.”
Bryan’s lengthy stadium tour kicks off next March in Chicago, with subsequent stops in Brooklyn, Toronto, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and more. See the full itinerary here. The Ticketmaster pre-sale will begin on Thursday, September...

Zach Bryan’s battle against Ticketmaster appears to be over.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the “I Remember Everything” singer announced on Tuesday that for his upcoming Quittin’ Time Tour, he will be using all ticketing sites — including Ticketmaster. The decision walks back his ticketing strategy for his recently completed Burn, Burn, Burn Tour, which largely cut out Ticketmaster in an effort to address fan frustrations regarding the company and the ticketing marketplace as a whole.

For their latest North American tour, The Cure kept tickets prices intentionally low. And yet, the band still managed to achieve the highest-grossing tour of their career.
According to Billboard, The Cure’s “Shows of a Lost World Tour” sold 547,000 tickets for a gross of $37.5 million. Both numbers are new career bests: the band’s previous high-water mark for tickets sold in America was 402,000 in 1992, while they more than doubled the gross revenue of their 2016 jaunt ($18 million).
Despite these impressive totals, The Cure could have earned a lot more, but frontman Robert Smith intentionally left millions of dollars on the table so the band could offer reasonable priced tickets to their fans. Per Billboard, the average ticket price for the “Shows of a Lost World Tour” was $68.54 — 37% less than the average ticket price for the year’s other top tours.

Live Nation and Ticketmaster have confirmed that they’ll be implementing all-in pricing for customers, assuaging complaints of surprise and undisclosed fees while purchasing tickets.
The companies announced the move on Thursday at the White House, where President Joe Biden is hosting executives from a number of platforms to help push his administration’s goal of limiting “junk” fees that drastically hike prices. Live Nation plans to display upfront all-in pricing by September for venues they own, while Ticketmaster will give consumers the option to view all-in pricing up front for other venues. SeatGeek, too, plans to simplify browsing for tickets with the true cost displayed on their site.
“President Biden has been working to lower costs for hardworking families by bringing down inflation, capping insulin prices for seniors, and eliminating hidden junk fees,” National Economic Council director Lael Brainard said in a statement (via Billboard). “More companies are heeding...

Robert Smith serenaded his wife of 34 years, Mary Poole, with The Cure’s “Plainsong” during a recent performance on the band’s ongoing “Shows of a Lost World” tour.
A newly released fan-captured video, reportedly from The Cure’s May 24th concert at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, shows the frontman facing away from the audience and singing directly to Poole backstage. With an unbroken, stoic delivery, he recites the song’s closing lyrics “Like I’m living at the edge of the world/ ‘It’s just the way I smile,’ you said” before taking a long pause to make some discernibly intense eye-contact with his wife, then turning back to the audience. Amidst The Cure’s ongoing North American tour, Robert Smith has been workshopping new music. During the first of three shows at the Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday night, the band premiered a never-before-heard track called “Another Happy Birthday.”
Even by The Cure’s standards, “Another Happy Birthday” is an especially depressing song. “And your birthday is the worst day/ I’m singing to a ghost/ Happy birthday/ I forget how it goes,” Smith sings alongside lush but muted instrumentation.
The origins of “Another Happy Birthday actually date as far back to 1997. Back then, Smith mentioned the song’s existence in connection to a B-sides and rarities collection he was working on. “It’s unlike anything The Cure have done before. It’s not a verse-chorus-verse type of song, but more fluid,” he told MTV at the time.

The Cure honored their most diehard fans last night at the New Orleans kickoff of their North American tour with the first performances of Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me’s “A Thousand Hours” and The Head on the Door’s “Six Different Ways” since 1987.
Frontman Robert Smith sang the vocal to “A Thousand Hours” with his arms outstretched, asking the audience, “For how much longer can I cry like this? … For how much longer can I howl into this wind?” as his bandmates played the song’s dreamy synth-and-guitar swirls around him.

The Cure kicked off their first North American tour in seven years with a show at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Wednesday.
The Robert Smith-led band delivered a 29-song setlist that included several new songs presumably taken from their long-teased new album, Songs of a Lost World, including “Alone,” “And Nothing Is Forever,” “A Fragile Thing,” and “I Can Never Say Goodbye.” During the encore The Cure dusted off “A Thousand Hours,” from Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss, and “Six Different Ways” from The Head on the Door (neither song had been played since 1987).
See the evening’s full 29-song setlist and fan-captured performance footage below.
The North American leg of the “Songs of a Lost World Tour” runs through early July. The tour’s ticket on-sale has been quite the ordeal, but there are limited quantities still available via Ticketmaster.

John Cleese couldn’t help but view the recent coronation of British monarch King Charles III as a satire worthy of one of his classic Monty Python sketches.
In an interview with Gb News, the legendary British comedian — who also famously dressed down a certain British noble named King Arthur in 1975’s Monty Python and the Holy Grail — admitted he “lost it” after starting to watch the historic televised event with his wife. “I couldn’t stop laughing,” he shared, barely able to contain himself through his harsh-yet-candid recollection. “All these people in these silly costumes, all taking things so seriously. I thought it was a [Monty] Python sketch.”
Cleese further clarified that he “wasn’t laughing at the people because they were playing their parts really well” but had one note for the “marvelous” Archbishop of Canterbury, who had to make several adjustments while bestowing the crown on the new monarch’s head.

She's taking the trophy, dumbass. "The White Lotus" star Jennifer Coolidge just notched another honor after a landmark few years, taking home the 2023 comedic genius award during the MTV Movie & TV Awards on May 7.
Coolidge, 61, accepted the award in a prerecorded video, as the show was not held live due to the Writers Guild of America strike. During her short speech, she threw her support behind those striking, saying, "I stand here before you tonight side by side with my sisters and brothers in the WGA."
"Thank you, thank you MTV for honoring me with this incredible comedic genius award," Coolidge said, noting that it "thrilled" her and was "ironic" that the trophy is shaped like popcorn, because the snack is her "favorite food."
Coolidge danced with her trophy to end the acceptance video, which was preceded by footage from some of her most iconic roles.

Robert Smith continues to be a man of the people. On King Charles’ coronation day, The Cure frontman shared a political cartoon slamming the royal family and the “distracting profligacy” of the monarchy.
“All hail the nature arbitrary of privilege that’s hereditary,” the cartoon, by the artist First Dog on the Moon, says. “The huge cost of this ceremony could buy each British child a pony/ Yet distracting profligacy must calm the masses all, lest we the fury of the poor unleash/ Let them eat Coronation Quiche!”
As Ultimate Classic Rock points out, Smith has spoken out against the monarchy before. In 2012, he dismissed the idea of ever accepting knighthood from the royals, proclaiming, “I would honestly cut off my own hands before I would go there, because how dare they presume that they could give me an honor? I’m much better than them. They’ve never done anything!

After catching a lot of flak for speaking out against sex reassignment treatment for children, Paul Stanley has attempted to clarify his statement. In a new social media post, the Kiss singer-guitarist insists, “I support those struggling with their sexual identity.”
As previously reported, in his original statement, Stanley said, “There is a Big difference between teaching acceptance and normalizing and even encouraging participation in a lifestyle that confuses young children into questioning their sexual identification as though some sort of game and then parents in some cases allow it.” He went on to say that sex reassignment (or gender affirmation) treatment for children had “turned into a sad and dangerous fad.”
In his new post, Stanley refrained from apologizing, but admitted he used a poor choice of words:
“While my thoughts were clear, my words clearly were not. Most importantly and above all else, I support those struggling with...

Robert Smith has revealed that The Cure will play shows in Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay as part of their upcoming “Songs of a Lost World Tour.”
Smith shared the countries the band will visit in a social media post on Wednesday, but said specific details are still being ironed out. “Sorting Out The Deals Is Taking A Bit Longer Than I Thought It Would,” he wrote. “More Details When They Exist.”
The upcoming dates will mark The Cure’s first tour of South America in a decade. They last visited the continent in 2013 as part of “The Great Circle Tour.”
The North American leg of the “Songs of a Lost World Tour” is scheduled to kick off next week in New Orleans, with dates running into early July. The tour’s ticket on-sale has been quite the ordeal, but there are limited quantities still available via Ticketmaster.

Actor Sharon Stone looked forward to being cast in a project about the late Lana Turner. But when Michael Douglas’ wife Catherine Zeta-Jones nabbed the project instead, Stone couldn’t help express her disappointment in the outcome.

Stone may have been in the running once to play late actor Lana Turner. According to TCM, Turner was an actor on the rise in the late 30s, having made her small silver screen debut in the feature They Won’t Forget.
From there, Turner’s career experienced even higher heights in the 40s. The 40s saw her starring in notable features like Honky Tonk and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, further growing her celebrity.
Deep in the 40s and 50s, Turner was already an established star and an A-lister in her own right.

Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino discussed the recent controversy surrounding The Cure’s ticket on sale and a host of other topics during an appearance on The Bob Lefsetz Podcast.
For their upcoming North American tour, The Cure opted out of Ticketmaster’s “platinum” and “dynamically priced” ticket options, and restricted ticket transfers in markets where the band was legally allowed to do so. Even so, frontman Robert Smith discovered the system to be “far from perfect,” as numerous tickets still ended up on the secondary market, while those fans who were able to purchase tickets complained of excessive transaction fees. Smith ultimately compelled Ticketmaster to offer fans a reimbursement of $5-10.
“We were proud of Ticketmaster’s side,” Rapino said. “We did a ton of work with Robert, making sure [tickets] were non-transferable, that it would be a face value [ticket] exchange and verified, doing all we could to put all...

Kylie Jenner recently opened up about why she got lip filler and the impact the plastic surgery procedure has had on her confidence.
In the past, Jenner, like many celebrities denied any surgical enhancements. But in a recent interview, she said getting lip filler was the best move she could have made. So if plastic surgery can boost confidence and make people feel good about themselves, why hide it?
Kylie Jenner doesn’t regret doing lip filler
“I think a big misconception about me is that I’ve had so much surgery on my face and that I was some insecure person, and I really wasn’t! Yeah, I love full lips and wanted full lips, but growing up I was always the most confident person in the room,” she told Homme Girls. “I was the girl performing for everyone.”

It’s Robert Smith‘s birthday so, naturally, fans of the singer are sharing what is commonly believed to be one of his greatest moments.
The musician, who is the frontman of The Cure, turns 64 today (Friday 21 April).
In 2019, he became a viral sensation on Twitter thanks to his hilariously deadpan response to an excitable reporter.
Smith was in attendance at that year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where The Cure were being inducted alongside Stevie Nicks, Janet Jackson, Def Leppard, The Zombies, Radiohead and Roxy Music.
The singer approached a chipper interviewer at Brooklyn’s Barclays Centre, who said to him: “Congratulations, The Cure – Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees 2019! Are you as excited as I am?”
Smith, without missing a beat, replied: “Um, by the sounds of it, no.”
The interviewer, brushing off the response, laughed in response, and asked him: “Oh, no, what are we going to do?...

Michael Stipe, Chvrches, and Coldplay are just a few of over 60 artists who’ve contributed to the 2023 iteration of EarthPercent’s annual Earth Day compilation album. Proceeds will benefit the Brian Eno-founded charity’s grant giving program, which directly benefits organizations fighting the ongoing climate crisis.
Stipe — a frequent eco-advocate — contributes the track “Give Me a Hand,” a moody art-pop number featuring guest vocals from folk singer and disability advocate Gaelynn Lea. Meanwhile, Chvrches reunite with their pal Robert Smith of The Cure for a rendition of their song “How Not to Drown,” recorded live at the Brixton Academy. Coldplay tap H.E.R. for another live track, this one being their ballad “Let Somebody Go” at the River Plate.
Also featured on the compilation are Eno, Dry Cleaning, dodie, Bring Me the Horizon, Julia Holter, Mystery Jets, and many more. Stream the album via Bandcamp below.

A world expert on William Shakespeare has compared Taylor Swift to some of history’s greatest writers – including the Bard himself – and said she is a “real poet”.
Scholar Sir Jonathan Bate, a former Shakespeare professor at Warwick University, said he believed the popstar is more than “just high-class showbiz” and has a “literary sensibility” that was apparent from her debut album.
In a piece for The Sunday Times Magazine titled Why Taylor Swift is a literary giant, he wrote that he had “one of the best nights of [his] life” at one of Swift’s concerts.
“Listening to her lyrics, which most of the rapturous (mainly female) audience seemed to know by heart, I came away with confirmation of a thought I first had 15 years ago: this isn’t just high-class showbiz, Taylor Swift is a real poet,” he said.

In one of the many jacked-up, bodies-leaping-and-flying, vampire-meets-action-film sequences that punctuate “Renfield,” Dracula (Nicolas Cage), jutting into the movie well before we expect him to, does all the throat-ripping damage he can in a montage that culminates in drapes being thrown open, the sunlight flooding in, and the vampire, in his red bathrobe, bursting into flame. It looks like the climax of many a vampire film, and it leaves Dracula a charred husk. But has he been killed? No way! As Renfield (Nicholas Hoult), Dracula’s servant and disciple through the ages, explains to us in voice-over, when something like this happens it takes a great deal of work to return Dracula to his previous state. Renfield must gather up many new victims for his master to feed upon. But with enough blood and enough time, Dracula can claw his way back to his old robust undead form.

Like their unlikely namesake, the Zombies have had several lives since being formed by keyboardist Rod Argent and vocalist Colin Blunstone in St. Albans in Hertfordshire U.K. in the early 1960s. The first British Invasion act after the Beatles to score a chart-topping U.S. hit, with “She’s Not There,” the guys disbanded shortly before their 1968 soon-to-be-cult album, “Odessey and Oracle,” was released. That collection produced another stateside smash in “Time of the Season,” which Al Kooper belatedly convinced Columbia’s Clive Davis to put out.
Since Argent and Blunstone reunited as the Zombies in 2004, the group has released four albums, the latest being the Covid-delayed “Different Game,” on the indie Cooking Vinyl, which serves as the follow-up to 2015’s aptly titled “Still Got That Hunger.”

The Cure have expanded their 2023 “Songs of a Lost World” North American tour by announcing additional dates in San Diego, Montreal, and Atlanta, as well as a new show in Portland, Oregon. Frontman Robert Smith has also teased that concerts in Mexico and South America will be revealed later this month.
The newly announced dates are The Cure’s latest efforts to get tickets in the hands of fans following a frustrating initial on-sale process. Fans who were previously issued verified fan codes but who were unable to buy tickets to shows in San Diego, Montreal, and Atlanta will have first crack at tickets for the new dates. Meanwhile, the band is using its May 31st concert in Portland as an “experiment” to see whether simply have a non-transferable ticket policy sans the usage of Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan experience will provide enough protection.

Robert Smith’s efforts to go after scalpers have resulted in the cancelation of 7,000 tickets to The Cure’s upcoming North American tour.
As part of the on-sale process for the tour, Smith opted out of Ticketmaster’s “platinum” and “dynamically priced” ticket options, and restricted ticket transfers in markets where he was legally allowed to do so.
As a result, according to Smith, “Approx 7k tickets across approx 2200 orders have been cancelled. These are tickets acquired with fake accounts / listed on secondary resale sites.”
Smith also warned ticket buyers from attempting to circumvent ticket transfer rules. “Offering To Sell/Send Account Login Details To Get Around Tm Transfer Limitations… Any/All Tickets Obtained In This Way Will Be Canceled, And Original Fees Paid On Those Tickets Will Not Be Refunded,” Smith announced. “..Original Fees Paid On Those Tickets Will Be Donated To Amnesty International, And The Tickets Themselves Will Be Resold To Fans.

The inflated prices for Drake’s “It’s All a Blur Tour” with 21 Savage have led to the initiation of the latest class-action lawsuit against Ticketmaster.
Per the Toronto Star, the law firm Lpc Avocat Inc. has filed a lawsuit claiming the ticket giant “intentionally misleads consumers for their own financial gain” on behalf of a Montreal man who says he purchased a pair of “Official Platinum” tickets for the July 14th show at Bell Centre for $789.54 each. The next day, the same seats were priced at $350 after Drake announced a second show at the venue.

Neil Young has publicly called out Ticketmaster for its high ticket prices.
In a new post titled “Concert Touring Is Broken” on his website, the 77-year-old singer wrote: “It’s over. The old days are gone.”
“I get letters blaming me for $3,000 tickets for a benefit I am doing. That money does not go to me or the benefit. Artists have to worry about ripped-off fans blaming them for Ticketmaster add-ons and scalpers.
“Concert tours are no longer fun. Concert tours not what they were.”
Young’s post also consists of a news article highlighting The Cure’s recent Ticketmaster debacle for the “Verified Fan” sale for their upcoming tour.
“I am as sickened as you all are by today’s Ticketmaster ‘fees’ debacle,” frontman Robert Smith tweeted on 15 March. “To be very clear: The artist has no way to limit them. I have been asking how they are justified.

Though there has always been nepotism in the entertainment industry, it’s been a huge topic in the zeitgeist as of late. Thanks to the Internet, people can find out who famous actors, models, musicians, and more are connected to with just the click of a button. In recent years, the term “nepo baby” has been adopted to describe those in entertainment who have famous family members and, therefore, built-in connections to their chosen industry. But while some celebrities shy away from or outright reject the label, Gigi Hadid seems to be embracing it. The model recently opened up about her privilege.

Whether or not Robert Smith intended it, the Cure’s ticketing on-sale this week became a worthy case study for anyone to learn about all the efforts, and the complications, that come with making the ticketing marketplace a more equitable experience for fans.
Readying its first U.S. tour in seven years, the English goth rockers had established what many live music experts would say were the ideal measures for a fan-centered experience to keep tickets at face value even as demand is higher than supply. The Cure likely left...

Taylor Swift enjoyed a light-hearted dig at her TikTok fanbase during the opening night of her new tour.
The singer-songwriter, 33, was responding to a rumour that had circulated on TikTok that she dislikes one of her own albums – 2020’s Evermore.
On TikTok, fans of Swift have long joked that the artist “hates” the album, with videos being shared arguing both for and against this being the case.
Performing at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Friday (17 March), Swift alluded to the TikTok debate while introducing her song “Champagne Problems”.
“The Evermore album [is] an album I absolutely love... despite what some of you say on TikTok,” she quipped.
“I see it. I’ve seen all of it,” she added.
The gig was Swift’s first tour date since 2018, and comes at the start of an extensive US tour, titled The Eras Tour.

Surprise! Ahead of her very, very, very sold-out Eras worldwide tour, which kicks off in Glendale, Arizona, this weekend, Taylor Swift has presented us with four previously unreleased songs from her discography. So while we’re sobbing at home on show night with only an old Swiftie merch tee to wipe away our tears because we couldn’t bag tickets, we at least have some new music to cry to.
Three of the four titles to have been released come from the singer’s re-recorded projects, meaning you can now happily listen to “Eyes Open”, “Safe and Sound”, and “If This Was A Movie” on Spotify in the knowledge that you’re not contributing to Scooter Braun’s bank account. But most of the attention is on “All of the Girls You Loved Before”, a track that was initially recorded for 2019’s Lover. It didn’t make the final cut on the album,...

Robert Smith, the frontman of The Cure, has announced that Ticketmaster will issue partial refunds to fans after complaints about excessive fees on the site.
The fees, in some cases, had more than doubled the price of a ticket to see the English rock band on their Songs of a Lost World tour.
“After further conversation, Ticketmaster have agreed with us that many of the fees being charged are unduly high, and as a gesture of goodwill have offered a $10 per ticket refund to all verified fan accounts for lowest ticket price transactions,” Smith tweeted on Thursday evening (16 March), all in capital letters.
“And a $5 per ticket refund to all verified fan accounts for all other ticket price transactions, for all Cure shows at all venues.
“If you already bought a ticket you will get an automatic refund; all tickets on sale tomorrow will incur lower fees.”

Jack White has responded to the debate over Meg White’s drumming ability by posting an original poem in support of his former White Stripes bandmate.
A row errupted this week after writer Lachlan Markay called her a “terrible” drummer.
“The tragedy of The White Stripes is how great they would have been with a half decent drummer,” he wrote in a now-deleted tweet.
“Yeah, yeah I’ve heard all the ‘but it’s a carefully crafted sound mannnn!’ takes. I’m sorry Meg White was terrible and no band is better for having s****y percussion.”
Since then, numerous fans and friends including Questlove, Karen Elson, and Jack himself have jumped to defend Meg and criticise Markay for his comments.
Elson, who was married to Meg’s ex-husband and bandmate between 2005 and 2013, tweeted: “Not only is Meg White a fantastic drummer, Jack also said the White Stripes would be nothing without her.
