Frank Dietz and I are the 20th Century's Big Media Babies. Our primary
school was movie theaters and broadcast TV. Our high school was
videotape. Our college consisted of becoming studiously obsessed
keepers of the flame, preservers of the past, collectors. And our
maturity, largely, has to do with finding ways to make [our] monsters
recompense that diligence and faith.
