For the very first time he is issuing limited editions of his original paintings through Chisholm Gallery, LLC.
Jonathan married Nandi Heckroth (daughter of Hein Heckroth) in
1948. They had two sons, Christian Routh and Jodi Routh, and divorced in 1969. Nandi died in a car crash in 1972.
He turned to painting in later years with his favorite subjects being Queen Victoria and nuns. His paintings were often incorporated for a series of children's books. He lived the rest of his life in Jamaica as an eccentric recluse.
Partly raised in Palestine where his father served as Colonial Governor.
