- Ginette Reno was born on April 28, 1946 in Montréal, Québec, Canada. She is an actress, known for Mambo Italiano (2003), It's Your Turn, Laura (1998) and Laura Cadieux... la suite (1999).
- One of Canada's most famous French-speaking singers, she was once managed by René Angélil.
- Ginette recorded a French language version of the Lynsey de Paul song "Storm in a Teacup", entitled "Dans La Vie Tout S'Arrange".
- Studied acting with Robert De Niro's coach in New York.
- Pictured on one of four non-denominated Canadian commemorative postage stamps honoring Canadian recording artists, issued 30 June 2011. Price of issue was 59¢. Others honored in this issue were Bruce Cockburn, Kate McGarrigle & Anna McGarrigle (on a single stamp), and Robbie Robertson.
