This is the second full trailer for The Wachowskis' Jupiter Ascending. I really wanted to be excited for this movie, it looks like it would be a movie that I would be stoked about, but I'm just not. The special effects and visuals look incredible, but the story seems very weak. Of course I'm still going to see it, I just won't be in any rush. My expectations are low, so maybe it will surprise me. It definitely looks like a unique movie with Channing Tatum riding around on anti gravity roller skates.
The movie also stars Mila Kunis, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton, Doona Bae, James D’Arcy, Richard Pickren, and Tim Pigott-Smith. Here's the synopsis:
Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up...

After months of hearing surprisingly little about the Wachowskis’ upcoming sci-fi space epic Jupiter Ascending, we finally got an extended look at the film today with two character posters and the second full trailer (the first, which debuted in December, did little to clarify Jupiter Ascending‘s story).
The trailer, which you can check out below, plays up the fact that with the directors of The Matrix and Cloud Atlas sitting behind the camera, we can expect to see some truly dazzling visual effects. Also front and center are stars Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum, undeniably the most bankable part of Jupiter Ascending.
Compared to other buzzy blockbusters due to hit screens this summer, like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past, Jupiter Ascending has seen very little promotion from Warner Bros.. The film looks really interesting though, so hopefully the marketing campaign will kick up a...

Though the Wachowskis’ last venture into sci-fi territory, 2012′s Cloud Atlas, received a less-than-enthuasiastic response at the box office, that disappointment evidently wasn’t enough to stop the pair from embarking on another incredibly ambitious sci-fi project. Jupiter Ascending, due to hit this July, is an admirably risky proposition for Warner Bros., though stars Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis are likely giving execs a little more confidence in the film’s ability to break even on its budget (which various reports have estimated to be between $100 and $200 million).
The second trailer for Jupiter Ascending will touch down later tonight, but to keep us busy in the meantime, Warner Bros. just unveiled two new posters for the film on its official Twitter page. Check them out below:
