Co-creator of Morning Knight with actor Jason Ritter; Marianna Palka was born on her elder sister Nina's 3rd birthday, 7th September 1981. They are the only two children of Basia and Tadeusz Palka (who has Huntington's Disease). The family had a wholesale bag company called Ralka Bags in Scotland throughout the 1980s. Marianna grew up without a television and moved to New York, aged 17 to study acting at The Atlantic Theater Company. She makes films with the production company Morning Knight Inc. Best friend is costume designer Daphne Javitch. Mentor is actor/writer/director Peter Mullan.
