"He's doing remarkably well," his mom Jennifer Page tells People. Since then, he's used his powers for good throughout the galaxy. "He's a full-throttle kid who loves doing charity work," says Page, 40, "making appearances in hospitals nationwide, raising funds and cheering up other kids." The 'Darth Vader boy' is back home from having his eighth open-heart surgery! Max Page, or the boy who famously channelled The Force in the 2011 Volkswagen Super Bowl commercial, is back from undergoing open-heart surgery. People reports that on June 19, the 7-year-old boy will spend the next six to eight weeks recovering at home after having his surgery at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. At a press conference the day before he went home, the child actor said he only felt "a little pain in my chest." Max was born with a congenital heart defect and has undergone eight surgeries since. During his latest operation, Max's pulmonary valve was replaced with a new, small adult-sized valve that should last 10 to 15 years. "My teary moments were when we first walked in last Wednesday because I knew what was coming," said Max's mom, Jennifer Page. "As we packed up today and walked out that doorway,...

The seven-year-old star who adorably channeled The Force in a Super Bowl commercial will soon undergo his Eighth open-heart surgery. Little Max Page, who famously dressed in Darth Vader's mask and cape for a 2011 Volkswagen Passat ad will be undergoing open heart surgery on June 14. According to a Today show report, the 7-year-old child actor was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect when he was only 3 months-old, his parents said only hours before Max had to check into the hospital. "He's scared and he's nervous" said his father Buck Page. Because of the surgery -- his eighth! -- Max was disappointed about canceling his summer plans. However, his mom Jennifer Page created a "can-do" list of all the things he'd be able to do during his recovery, such as watching movies and playing Nintendo Wii. And it doesn't end there! He'll also be having a themed house to recover from surgery.

Max Page, the little boy who won America's heart in 2011 as the little Darth Vader who used "the force" to start his family's Volkswagen, has been facing big challenges all his life. He was born with a congenital heart defect and on Wednesday (June 13) will undergo his eighth heart surgery in seven years. The goal of the surgery is to repair a hole in his heart and replace his pulmonary valve.
Dr. Michael Silka of Children's Hospital Los Angeles tells "Today" that the artery that carries the blood between the heart and the lungs is almost the size of an infant's artery - he likens it to trying to pump gas through a straw.
"Doctors have told us Max has not known how good he can feel ... so this is going to enable him to become even more active, which is hard to believe," Buck Page, Max's father, tells Ann Curry in an interview.

Jones was the legendary voice of the "Star Wars" character for years, starting the 1977's "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope".
Earlier on the day, Max and his mother Jennifer Page came to "Today" to reveal his face. "It actually wasn't until halfway through the first day of filming that we even knew it was a Super Bowl commercial," Jennifer said. "I was like, 'Whoa, this is out of this world!
