- Heather Page is the Co-Founder of The Shine Company, a consulting firm started in 2021 with fellow industry veteran and Texas Industry advocate, Mindy Raymond, which advises and supports clients in the production infrastructure development, incentives, and film tourism spaces. Intent on a career as a sound effects editor, Heather Page was lured into the camera department during a side hustle as a camera PA during the early years of her career. Not formally trained in cinematography, she learned her craft from the bottom up. Heather was mentored by some of the most legendary DP's Operators, and Camera Assistants in the business to become an in-demand focus puller, especially for her Steadicam assisting work, and camera operator at a time when women in the camera department were few, especially on big-budget studio projects. In 2012, while sitting on a dolly on a job in Los Angeles, Heather got a life-changing call notifying her she had been appointed Director of the Texas Film Commission by Texas Governor Rick Perry. During her tenure at the TFC, Heather spearheaded programming changes widely recognized for broadening Texas Film Commission's outreach, marketing, and recruiting efforts to both the industry and Texas communities while improving the agency's efficiency. She built a more attractive incentive program that saw instant success, especially with television production for the major studios, which increased the state's production and job creation by more than 250%. She also implemented Texas' Media Production Development Zone facility incentive (MPDZ) and created the agency's first online film tourism venture - the Texas Film Trails. After leaving the TFC in 2017, Heather began working as an industry consultant before serving as Interim Studios Director at Austin Studios for the Austin Film Society to oversee the organization's recent facility growth and expansion. Heather has served on the boards of the Austin Film Society, Association of Film Commissioners International, International Cinematographers Guild, Texas Motion Picture Alliance, and the Advisory Board of Women in Film & TV-Austin. She also co-created, along with actors Kyle Chandler and Brad Leland, and served as the Executive Director of the Beyond the Lights Celebrity Golf Classic, a fundraiser outside of Austin, Texas for charities that focus on spinal cord injuries, the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, and Gridiron Heroes Spinal Cord Injury Foundation.- IMDb Mini Biography By: The Shine Company
