Adam Deacon’s star-stuffed parody arrives on digital platforms next week ahead of a boxing day rental release.
The latest film from BAFTA-winner Adam Deacon will be available to download and keep on digital platforms from the 12th December, before becoming rent-able (presumably from those same ‘digital platforms’) from the 26th December.
We’ve not managed to catch this one yet, but the synopsis (and a stacked cast list) have our curiosity piqued. Here is that very same synopsis:
In this parody of the UK urban genre Riko and Kane have got it all … big dreams, no respect and a fifteen grand debt. Could things get any worse?
Yes! So, it’s time to man up and finally be taken seriously as “Roadmen”. Once putting their heads together on various ways to make some money, they decide to rob a megastar in a nightclub toilet and hold up the local bank,...

Saban Films has acquired North American rights to “Shepherd,” a supernatural thriller by writer-director Russell Owen.
Following its world premiere at BFI London Film Festival, “Shepherd” was released in theaters in the United Kingdom last month and has generated $19 million to date. It doesn’t yet have a release date domestically.
“Shepherd” centers on Eric Black, who finds work on a remote, weather-worn Scottish island after the sudden death of his wife. As his sadness continues to engulf him, so do the supernatural portents of his stark new surroundings. He soon becomes plagued by terrifying visions until it is clear he must confront his past trauma to survive.
The film stars Tom Hughes, Kate Dickie, Gaia Weiss and Greta Scacchi (The Player). Karim Prince Tshibangu and Aslam Parvez served as producers.
Owen calls the movie a “passion project,” one that is loosely based on a true story from his native Wales.

Lord Lucan Mystery. Acorn Rlj Entertainment
Kieran Kinsella
Fans of British TV have an enduring fascination with murder mysteries. The most intriguing cases are often based on real events and the brutal murder of Sandra Rivett certainly falls into that category. The identity of the victim herself is often over shadowed by the notoriety surrounding her alleged killer: Lord Lucan. He was never charged with the crime but she was the nanny of his estranged family and was found dead on the very same day that Lucan vanished. The case has never been solved and Lucan’s whereabouts have remained a mystery for the last 40 years. Rumors abound that he continues to evade capture thanks to the aiding and abetting of his high society friends. That said, 81 years on since his birth, the sands of time may catch up with him even if he continues to evade the long arm of the law.

New Tricks is to end after its upcoming 12th series.
The BBC is bringing the long-running crime drama to an end "to make room for new series", Broadcast reports.
In a joint statement, BBC One controller Charlotte Moore and BBC drama controller Ben Stephenson said: "We are incredibly proud of New Tricks and would like to thank Roy Mitchell the brilliant creator, Wall to Wall and Headstrong, and all the cast and teams involved across the 12 series.
"However, on BBC One, it's important to make room for new series and continue to increase the range of drama on the channel, so it won't be returning after the next series airs this summer."
Headstrong Pictures - who are producing the final series - added: "For eleven series, New Tricks has been one of the most enduringly popular dramas on television, and Wall to Wall and Headstrong Pictures are hugely proud of the success of the show.

I don't understand why you need to be skinny to play any character, unless it specifically says in the script that she's a model or dying of consumption. And I'm too old...

Richard Blackwood underwent a rectal examination for prostate cancer live on This Morning earlier today (June 11).
The 41-year-old was filmed receiving a Digital Rectal Examination (Dre) from the show's resident medical expert Dr Chris Steele in a segment supporting ITV's 'Stand By Your Man' campaign, which aims to raise awareness of prostate cancer and encourage men to get checked.
Speaking to host Phillip Schofield, Blackwood said that he felt a duty as a "strong black role model" to illustrate how relatively quick and painless the procedure can be, given men of African and African Caribbean descent are three times more likely to get prostate cancer.
"Men have this phobia of being checked, of being vulnerable, so I'm showing as a man not to be afraid and go get it done," he said.

ITV has teamed up with Prostate Cancer UK to produce a special film as part of the network's week-long 'Stand by Your Man' campaign.
Ray Winstone, Charles Dance, Tamzin Outhwaite, John Simm and Neil Stuke all star in the 18-minute film, which aims to raise awareness of the disease.
The movie, titled Father's Day, hopes to spark discussion and encourage men to talk more openly about such illnesses and reassure them that they are not alone, reports The Red Pages.
Game of Thrones actor Dance said: "I did recognise the reluctance of the men in the film to talk about such issues, I think that's true.

Like Hedgewick's World, Nightmare in Silver promises the world. “The biggest and best amusement park there ever will be!” It sounds like the perfect resort to pacify the supremely irritating Maitland kids. And likewise, Nightmare in Silver sounds like the perfect Who script. It's written by acclaimed author Neil Gaiman, who contributed the superlative Doctor's Wife . We'd probably put ourselves in that camp too to an extent. We're not quite sure what we thought we were going to get when it was revealed that Neil Gaiman was reinventing the Cybermen. But Nightmare In Silver feels a little different, which is mainly a positive thing here.
The whole episode, after all, was bathed in sci-fi. The setting of a futuristic theme park - Hedgewick's World Of Wonders here (which, by the map, looked like it would be an ace day...
