This Harry Potter star is in a bit of financial hot water with his former agent. Devon Murray, the actor synonymous with wizard Seamus Finnigan for all eight films of the famous franchise, appeared in Dublin's High Court Friday to learn his fate regarding an ongoing civil suit. The 27-year-old Irish actor had been sued by Neil Brooks, the agent who represented him when he got cast in his breakout childhood role. According to the BBC, Brooks alleged that Murray and his family owed him 286,000 euros in unpaid commission fees. Though Justice Michael Moriarty agreed with the claim, he reportedly lowered the payment amount to 260,000 euros. "It's amazing how one man can...

'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' poster. With Daniel Radcliffe. Rupert Grint. Emma Watson. 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' quiz question: Does state-of-the-art CGI equal movie magic? (Oscar Movie Series) Alfonso Cuarón seems like an odd choice for director of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third installment in the Harry Potter movie series. That is, if one thinks only of Cuarón's pre-Harry Potter sleeper hit, the François Truffaut-esque Y tu mamá también, while ignoring two of his earlier efforts, the critically acclaimed A Little Princess and the moderately respected Great Expectations. This time around, working with a reported $130 million budget (approx. $163 million in 2015), state-of-the-art special effects, and the Harry Potter franchise, Cuarón surely could do no wrong. At the box office, that is. For although Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is stylistically superior to Chris Columbus' previous work in the series,...

On July 15, the world will come to a halt as the Harry Potter franchise’s last movie installment comes to theaters in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. 3 days before “it all ends”, EA releases the video game adaptation for the movie on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
We recently got our hands on the second part of the Harry Potter finale game. While most core gamers may cringe when they hear the words “video game adaptation”, the second installment of Deathly Hallows actually did an amazing job of bringing to life the atmosphere of Harry’s inevitable showdown with Voldomort and all the carnage taking place at Hogwarts before the conclusion. It’s pure wizarding bedlam.
Characters like Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), Seamus Finnigan (Devon Murray), Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis), Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) and Ginny Weasley (Bonnie Wright) are brought to life through the voices of their corresponding feature film actors.

[1] With just one month left before the Harry Potter film series ends for good, it feels like we're getting a some new bit of promotional material practically every day. At this point, I've lost count of just how many posters we've already seen for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. But as long as they look this fantastic, I'm not complaining. In the days since we last showed you the last batch [2] of posters, featuring the heroes and villains looking dirty and bloodied, a handful of new posters have been released. Hit the jump to see the forces of good, an army of evil, and a huge-ass dragon. Though Warner Bros. has released character posters for practically all the major players (except Ginny! Why?), it's now released two more posters that show the characters organized into factions. In the first poster, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) stands looking determined and battle-worn,...

Comicpalooza, the largest comic-con/pop culture event in Texas, is taking place this weekend — but that hasn't stopped the organizers from adding awesome new guests and events to the already-stuffed schedule.
Actress Meaghan Rath, from the hit Syfy series Being Human, has just joined the roster of actors, which already includes celebrities such as Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica), Sam Trammell (True Blood), Tony Todd (Candyman), Sean Maher (Firefly/Serenity), Peter Mayhew (Star Wars), Nick Jones (Green Lantern), Jeremy Bulloch (Star Wars) and Marina Sirtis (Star Trek).
For all you Harry Potter devotees, actor Devon Murray has also been added to the guest list. Apparently, Murray is known as Seamus Finnegan in the hallowed halls of Hogwarts. (I've never actually seen a Harry Potter flick, so I have to take their word on this one.)

In June (http://www.snitchseeker.com/harry-potter-news/devon-murray-appear-early-half-blood-prince-screenings-65000/) we told you about special early screenings of Half-Blood Prince, for Colorado in the States, attended by Devon Murray to benefit There With Care (http://www.therewithcare.org/), a hospice that supports family & friends of those with critical illnesses. At the time, Tom Felton and Jamie Waylett were said to have recorded a message, to be shown before the film. Grint alert! I have finally uploaded the first batch of the videos I filmed two days ago in London, at the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I was given the opportunity to exchange a few words (and smiles) with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, Jessie Cave, Freddie Stroma, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Matthew Lewis, Tom Felton, Jim Broadbent, Jason Isaacs, Helen McCrory and the producer David Barron. (I also filmed quite a few others, such as Emma Watson, Bonnie Wright, Evanna Lynch, Devon Murray etc. but didn't have time to talk to them.) I was sharing the red carpet spot (and the umbrella) with Nick from MuggleNet and Mary from Harry Latino, so I'll be swapping videos with them as well. Instead of a classical report, I'm going to let the video clips do the talking! So please head over to this page, where you will find...

A copy of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" script has been moved to a safe house in an attempt to prevent thieves from getting a hold of it. The fact has been revealed by Devon Murray, the script's owner and the actor portraying Seamus Finnegan in the "Harry Potter" series, when speaking to The Herald.
He explained that film bosses took the decision over fears that the script would be stolen and leaked after several break-in attempts were made in his family home. "It just wasn't safe to keep it there, as there was so much hype surrounding the new storylines, so they now use a safe house for the script," he said.
On the occasion, Devon also spoke up about his co-star in the series, Daniel Radcliffe. Stating that the Harry Potter's depicter is far less innocent than he appears on the big screen, he said, "He's totally wired.
