Lamb of God offset the Los Angeles sunshine with the darkness of "512" during Thursday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performing the brooding single on the show's outdoor stage. Led by Randy Blythe's dark bellow and the explosive soloing of guitarist Mark Morton, the metal veterans inspired a crowd mosh pit.
In June, Lamb of God premiered a macabre music video for "512" filled with dead bodies and murderous revenge. The track is featured on the Virginia band's eighth LP, VII: Sturm Und Drang, which was inspired by Blythe's life-changing stint in Prague's Pankrác Prison.

Lamb Of God is one of the most respected, influential and successful bands in modern metal. They’ve built up a following over the course of their career due to their abrasive, uncompromising yet technical sound and their renowned live shows which have become revered and admired both because of the band’s ability to create a great atmosphere and also because they (arguably) sound even better live than on studio recordings. Their gigs are also some of the most hectic and in-your-face you’ll go to – I should know as I lost both my trainers in the pit in one of their London headlining gigs and had to endure the rest of their set with people parading over my feet. But it was worth it. Even though I’d been a Lamb Of God fan for years, that was my first time seeing them live...

A 911 call placed by an alleged employee of the Iowa hotel where Slipknot bassist Paul Gray was found dead Monday has emerged. TMZ obtained a recording of the call placed by an unnamed hotel maintenance worker who discovered Gray's body.
"We believe that it's a drug overdose," the employee said of Gray's condition. "There's a hypodermic needle next to his bed here."
Asked if Gray were awake, the employee replied: "Oh God, no," explaining that it appeared as though Gray had been dead "for a while" based on his physical appearance. He identified Gray's name from the prescription label of a nearby bottle of pills. The employee also said Gray's mother had called the hotel earlier that day because she was having trouble reaching her son.
