No one is more upset at Donald Trump moving into the White House than Joe Biden in meme form is. The Vice President has gone viral as the subject of internet memes that show him trolling Trump. Joe: I’m going to ask Donald if he wants something to eat Barack: That’s nice, Joe Joe: And then I’m going to offer him knuckle sandwiches Obama: “Joe, why are you still holding my hand?” Biden: “I wanna freak Mike Pence out” Obama: “But why?” Biden: “Just roll with it” –Thomas Moore “I left a Kenyan passport in your desk just to f— with him.

The top 20. The scripts by which all others are defined and to which all others are compared. Brilliant scripts can be wordy. Brilliant scripts can be confusing. Brilliant scripts can be sweeping or intimate. This section runs the gamut, ranging from first time writers to established writing vets. It only gets better from here.

20. Easy Rider (1969)
Written by Dennis Hopper, Peter Fonda, and Terry Southern
They’ll talk to ya and talk to ya and talk to ya about individual freedom. But they see a free individual, it’s gonna scare ‘em.
This portion’s “anybody can write a film” segment comes from 1969, with a landmark film that truly doesn’t have much weight. A road movie if there ever was one, Easy Rider follows Wyatt (Peter Fonda) and Billy (Dennis Hopper) as they ride their motorcycles across the country to New Orleans for Mardi Gras.

Deanna Durbin: Ephemeral fame (photo: Deanna Durbin in 1981) [See previous post: "Deanna Durbin: 'Sweet Monster.'"] Unlike Greta Garbo, whose mystique remained basically intact following her retirement in 1941, Deanna Durbin’s popularity faded away much like that of the vast majority of celebrities who were removed — or who chose to remove themselves — from public view. Despite the advent of home video and classic-movie cable channels, Durbin remains virtually unknown to the vast majority of those who weren’t around in her heyday in the ’30s and ’40s. Yet, although relatively few in number, she continues to have her ardent fans. There are a handful of websites devoted to Deanna Durbin and her film and recording careers, chiefly among them the appropriately titled "Deanna Durbin Devotees." Fade Out Charles David, Deanna Durbin’s husband of 48 years, died in March 1999, at the age of 92; Institut Pasteur medical researcher Peter H. David is their only son. Durbin also had a daughter,...

In exciting news, Irish Film & TV (Iftv) Research Online, a Trinity College project, is making available nine dramatized films about the Irish, made in Ireland and America by Sidney Olcott and others during the period of 1910 to 1915. Canadian-born Alcott, who was of Irish heritage, moved to Ireland and made several films there. He even had plans for a permanent studio in Beaufort, County Kerry, but the First World War intervened. Iftv says that almost all the Irish-themed fiction films released in this period were produced by foreign filmmakers, but during 1916 to 1920 Irish filmmakers working mainly for the Film Company of Ireland also made innovative and challenging films. ----------------------- Read more: More movie news from IrishCentral Sean Quinn’s wife and children could face bankruptcy hearing to repay banks History of Ireland’s War of Independence changed by Kerry students ----------------------- Five of the nine films are concerned with aspects of...

In less than a week’s time we will know the identity of the winner of the 2011 Academy Award for Best Picture, arguably the highest accolade a movie can receive. This year the betting man’s money is on The King’s Speech, while the critics favour The Social Network and Black Swan is placed as the black sheep.

The final season of The Tudors will begin with the 17-year old reign of Queen Catherine Howard (Tamzin Merchant) and the last days of King Henry VIII (Jonathan Rhys Meyers). After the loss of Henry's "one true love," Queen Jane, Henry is knee deep in a mid-life crisis and utterly alone. Over the past three seasons he has killed his closest confidants, like Thomas Moore and Cromwell (James Frain). Now the only person he has left is the Duke of Suffolk, Charles Brandon (Henry Cavill). What's next for the king? How about war? We've seen somewhat of a civil war during season 3's fight with the Church and religious zealots, but The Tudors Season 4 will be our first taste of an all-out battle, featuring Henry. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at Season 4 with Tamzin Merchant, creator Michael Hirst, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Charles Brandon and Joely Richardson( who plays Catherine ...

The partnership with Tim Brazeal during the fallout of the TrekUnited scandal has apparently come to an end. Chris McKeown, considered one of Brazeal's and TrekUnited's larger supporters, announced Monday that he has dissolved the merger between his former sites SciFiUpdates and SciFiSite along with TrekUnited -- a merger that created SciFiUnited -- and is disassociating himself with Brazeal following the collapse over the weekend of FedConUSA. "There has been no unity there," McKeown said in a post on SciFiUnited announcing the split. "There has been great unity with Thomas Moore and the sites he runs. We, the active admin staff here at SciFiUnited, have decided to pull all our content, images, etc., from SciFiUnited due to recent activities by Tim Brazeal and certain members from TrekUnited." ...
