Although long out of the public eye, Richardson resurfaced in 2005 in
the title of Roger Rosenblatt's satirical review of American life,
"Ashley Montana Goes Ashore in the Caicos ... or What Am I Doing Here?"
The title is a humorous allusion to the silly caption of the 1991
"Sports Illustrated" Swimsuit issue, which featured the tall, blonde
Richardson (then still married to Miami club owner Paul Montana) emerging from the sea in a white bathing suit. The play is not otherwise about Richardson.
