Smashing Pumpkins have named Kiki Wong as their new touring guitarist.
Following the departure of longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder last October, frontman Billy Corgan put out an open call for his replacement. The band received more than 10,000 applicants, which Corgan then whittled down to a group of finalists who auditioned in-person in Los Angeles last month. He settled on Wong, a veteran guitarist who has performed with the likes of Taylor Swift, Usher, and Bret Michaels, as well as with rock bands Nylon Pink, Hellfire Heart, and currently, Vigil of War.

“Reviewing the work of these incredible musicians was a herculean, albeit worthy effort,” Corgan said in a statement. “First off, I really want to thank everyone who submitted materials for consideration. It wasn’t an easy decision with how much great guitar playing we were lucky enough to hear and see over the past few months.

The Masked Singer now has another glam-metal alum among its ranks after ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach was revealed as Tiki on the singing competition show on Wednesday night (December 6th).
Inspired by previous appearances from Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider and Poison’s Bret Michaels on the show, Bach was convinced to don the massive head-to-toe disguise, becoming Tiki — a literal walking tiki cocktail. Fittingly, Bach performed a song by fellow rock legends Kiss (“I Was Made for Lovin’ You”) before the big reveal, as he was eliminated during the semifinals.
Panelist Nicole Scherzinger was correct in guessing that the former Skid Row frontman was Tiki, having previously shared a bill with Bach in 2006 and picking up on a clue related to Skid Row’s “Monkey Business.”

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from Wednesday’s episode of The Masked Singer, including the identities of the eliminated contestants.
It was a double elimination night for The Masked Singer, and two contestants got the axe during rock night.
Despite a rendition of “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” that got the audience and the judges going, Husky was first on the chopping block, sending Tiki and Sea Queen into the battle royale. After making it through several rounds of The Masked Singer, it’s hard to believe the artist behind this mask almost declined the chance to perform at all.
“My agent gave me a call and said that they wanted me on the show, and originally I said no,” Ginuwine told Deadline a few hours before his unmasking. Luckily, he had a change of heart.
“I’m pretty much a person [that likes] space to myself,” he said. “So I figured,...

Every rose has its thorn … just like every dog has its day … Well, maybe the song doesn’t go quite like that, but a dog by the name of Bret Michaels just had its day when he was adopted by Poison frontman Bret Michaels.
On Tuesday (October 17th), the Nebraska Humane Society shared a story on Facebook about Bret Michaels the dog, in which it was reported that the 6-year-old husky donated blood to an ailing month-old kitten through a procedure known as a xenotransfusion that allows canine blood to be transfused into felines.
The post, in part read, “A round of ap-paws for Bret Michaels for being such a calm and brave boy, and to our vet team for their quick thinking. Little [kitten] is now on the road to recovery, and Bret Michaels is waiting patiently for his forever family!”

Jordan Cohen is quite possibly the most ebullient person you will ever talk to. His sunny attitude comes through the minute he picks up the phone to talk about his new book. It’s perhaps the key reason he’s become the no. 1 Re/Max real estate agent in the world and a go-to agent who sells some $300 million in residential real estate a year to top athletes, music stars and actors alike. “His enthusiastic energy could easily light up the entire state,” says his client Sylvester Stallone, who wrote the book’s forward.
But that doesn’t mean Cohen — who concentrates on celeb-heavy areas near Los Angeles like Hidden Hills and Westlake Village — doesn’t get an attack of nerves once in a while. The worst? When he was going to meet Stallone, his film idol, in person about selling a house for him. As he recounts in his new book,...

“The Masked Singer” has arrived at its 10th season, and it’s celebrating big all season long — with some help from a member of newly reunited (if only just temporarily?) *Nsync, a star of “The Office,” and several famous alums.
TheWrap can exclusively reveal that Lance Bass and Kate Flannery (Meredith from “The Office”) are among the show’s special surprise clue givers this season. Now, will they have any connection to those who are competing? That part remains unclear for now, but as always, it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
Kelly Osbourne, who competed as Ladybug in the second season of “The Masked Singer,” will also help give out some clues this season, along with NFL wide receiver and free agent DeSean Jackson, “Snake Oil” host David Spade, and Poppy and Branch from “Trolls” for a special episode themed to the movie.

Spooky season is well underway, which means now is the time when people start consuming anything with even a hint of pumpkin spice flavoring, marathoning horror movies, and preparing for the upcoming new horror releases. After over eight years of waiting, Universal and Blumhouse are finally debuting the film adaptation of "Five Nights at Freddy's," the Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard-starring horror film based on Scott Cawthon's massively popular video game franchise of the same name. Those unfamiliar with the series might assume the game is just "Chuck E. Cheese or ShowBiz Pizza Place, but make it horror," but there is so much more to this terrifying world.

Every month we celebrate the new releases on Screambox, but occasionally we randomly sneak new titles onto the streaming service.
This month, we added the excellent documentary, Death by Metal, which celebrates the birth of death metal and late guitarist and vocalist Chuck Schuldiner.
The doc tells the story of the influential American death metal band Death, founded in 1983 by Schuldiner, which produced several masterpieces through Schuldiner’s death in 2001.
Death’s burning speed and ferocity was only matched by Chuck’s unbending determination to bash out the most boundary-crushing interpretation of heavy metal.
Also streaming on Screambox is The Decline of Western Civilization: Part II, which dissects the world of heavy metal through interviews with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Alice Cooper, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Lemmy Motorhead, Ozzy Osbourne, Bret Michaels, Rikki Rocket, Dave Mustaine, and C.C.
